32 of the best players in the world descend on Leicester for the 2025 Boyle Sports World Grand Prix, all vying to win the £120,000 top prize.
Damon Heta is still searching for his first win at the World Grand Prix, after losing on all four occasions he's played at this event.
The Aussie has been very inconsistent this season, which is completely unlike him, so a trip to Leicester to an event he's struggled at doesn't seem ideal.
Luke Woodhouse averaged 96.33 in a 2-1 defeat to Dimitri van Den Bergh 12 months ago, and has previously beaten Dave Chisnall in straight sets in 2023.
Woody has progressed well over the last few years and booked his place at a third straight World Grand Prix, thanks to a great run to the final of ET13.
Heta has notoriously struggled at this event, but he played much better here last year. I can see this being a close match, and rather than backing a winner, over 2.5 sets looks much better value.

Ross Smith has never lost in the first round of the World Grand Prix over his four appearances here, and had the performance of the opening round in 2024, averaging 101.79 in a 2-0 victory over Gian van Veen.
The Englishman comes into Leicester in fantastic form after winning PC29 last week and will be looking to have a good run here to keep his name involved in Premier League selection.
Daryl Gurney was a previous winner here in 2017 and made the semi-final in 2018, but since then, the Northern Irishman has struggled, failing to make it past round two. Super Chin has had an up-and-down season and may well be in for a tough night against the inform Smith.

This looks set to be a rivalry for many years to come, with both players progressing brilliantly in their careers.
Luke Littler lost on debut in 2024, 2-1 to Rob Cross, but I don't think he'll have any bad memories as he didn't play badly, averaging 94.03. The Nuke has been dominating once again this year, especially in the big TV majors, winning the UK Open and the World Matchplay in 2025.
Gian van Veen also lost on debut last year, but he ran into a scintillating 101.79 average by Ross Smith. The Dutchman has played much better in the TV majors this year, reaching the quarter-final in both the UK Open and World Matchplay.
This could turn into the tie of round one if both players are on form, but because of the format (double in), it may become a little nervy at times, with both players looking for their first win in this tournament.
Both players are huge power scorers, and because of this, Luke Littler's price to hit the most 180s is inflated somewhat, so it seems silly not to back him.

Michael van Gerwen is a six-time winner of the World Grand Prix and comes into Leicester in good form after winning the World Series Finals last month.
The Green Machine was whitewashed 2-0 without winning a leg in the opening round last year against Daryl Gurney, but he looks far more confident coming into the tournament this time.
Dirk van Duijvenbode returns to the Grand Prix after failing to qualify in 2024. Since recovering from his injury, he's made huge strides to maintain his ranking, but over the last few months, his form has dipped again, and he comes into this week without a run past round four of any PDC tournament since August.
MVG looks hungry again, and when he's in that kind of mood, he becomes extremely hard to beat and should have no problem brushing past The Titan, whom he has a 9-3 head-to-head winning rate against.

Peter Wright held onto his ranking to scrape into the qualification spots for the World Grand Prix to make his 14th appearance in this event. The 55-year-old has had a fabulous career, but this may well be the last time we see him at this event because of a dire run of form.
Snakebite hasn't made it past round 3 of any PDC event since May, and if this form continues, he looks set to tumble down the world rankings, putting even World Championship qualification in doubt.
Mike De Decker broke through into the elite of the sport after winning the 2024 World Grand Prix. Since then, the Belgian has been largely disappointing after missing out on selection for the 2025 Premier League, which clearly affected him.
Although the Belgian isn't in the best of form right now, he should have far too much for the out-of-form Scot, who is struggling to be competitive at this level at the moment.
