2025 World Cup of Darts: Day 3 Betting Tips

• Czech Republic To Win: 7/10 at Coral

The Czech Republic were not at its best during their 4-2 victory over India yesterday, but the standard of the match probably dragged them down. Karel Sedlacek is the key to this side, and if he plays his A game today, it could be a smooth ride through to the next round.

Malaysia were impressive in their opening win against Canada, but struggled yesterday, averaging 74.19 against Denmark. They won 4-1, though, to create history and qualify for the knockouts for the first time. This may be a step too far, though, and I expect the Czech Republic to use their experience and progress to the quarter-final.

• Hong Kong To Win: 57/50 at BetMGM

Hong Kong progressed through to the knockout stages, losing just one leg in the process. I said in yesterday's preview that I think they are the dark horses of this tournament, and once again, they have been dismissed as the outsiders to win here, which I find remarkable.

Sweden scraped through their group after a 4-3 loss to France last night, and they looked very edgy. They'll have to step it up this afternoon if they're going to progress any further.

For me, Hong Kong are the better team, and I think they will come through this match comfortably.

• Over 4.5 180s In The Match: 11/10 at BetVictor

Switzerland were superb last night during their 4-1 victory over Japan, averaging 91.34. It was a huge improvement from their opening match, and this duo looks dangerous if they play the same way today.

Ireland suffered a shock 4-2 defeat to China last night, but progressed by the skin of their teeth because they had won more legs against the throw.

I expect Ireland to be much sharper today, and this could potentially be a very close match. For that reason, I think we can stay away from the result and safely look at the total 180s. All four of these players are big scorers, so over 4.5 maximums in the match looks a steal at 11/10.

• Under 12.5 Legs: 17/20 at BoyleSports

South Africa have averaged 76 and 79 in their opening two matches in this year's World Cup, and they'll know they'll need to dramatically improve on that after being handed one of the toughest draws in the tournament.

Northern Ireland, represented by Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney, looks extremely dangerous on paper. Both players have been in good form over the last 12 months, and if it all clicks, they could breeze through this match.

South Africa have clear talent, it's just whether they can bring it all together on the big stage. The experience lies with the Northern Irish, and they should win this match comfortably.

• Over 11.5 Legs: 4/5 at William Hill

Wales are clear favourites in this match, and rightly so. Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price are world-class competitors and have won this tournament before. However, underestimate the Philippines at your peril.

After knocking out Belgium in a dramatic 4-3 victory yesterday evening, the Philippines will be full of confidence coming into today.

For me, over 11.5 legs is a massive price, especially after the Philippines proved they can mix it with the elite yesterday evening.

• Netherlands To Win: 4/5 at William Hill

Peter Wright and Gary Anderson return to represent Scotland at the World Cup. Both players have notoriously played well at this event, but they face a tough opener against the Dutch.

The Netherlands have been faultless en route to the knockout stages and have won both their matches 4-0.

Gian van Veen and Danny Noppert look to be working well together, and I think the fact that they have two matches under their belt could be the deciding factor in this match. For me, this contest is all about how Peter Wright plays, and if he isn't on top form, the Netherlands will take advantage and progress in a tight match.

• Over 7.5 180s In The Match: 11/10 at BetMGM

Reigning champions England, led by Luke Humphries and Luke Littler, will open their defence in a blockbuster tie against the Germans. England couldn't have been given a tougher draw, in my opinion, because playing Germany on home soil is never easy. However, the two Lukes are a formidable force, and it will take some effort from the Germans to cause an upset here.

Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko will have to be on their top form to be competitive in this. The crowd will also play a huge part, though, but the Germans will need to keep in touch with England early because if they let them speed away to a 4 or 5-leg lead, the atmosphere will quickly evaporate.

Pietreczko will be the only player on stage who isn't a prolific maximum hitter, but the other three are 180 machines. Germany needs to keep it tight, and if they do, I can see there being maximums galore here.

• Australia Over 2.5 180s: 3/4 at Ladbrokes

Argentina's fairytale debut continues today after their two victories on Friday. They were extremely impressive, averaging 84.10 and 83.49 in wins against Finland and New Zealand. They face a hard task tonight, but if they play like they have so far, they'll remain competitive.

The Aussies were the duo of the day on Friday, losing just one leg and averaging 98.56 and 94.42 during wins against Spain and Austria. Simon Whitlock rolled back the years at times, but Damon Heta stole the show, with an individual average of over 100 for the day, including a 114 average against Spain.

Argentina can keep Australia honest today, and it could be closer than expected. For that reason, I think the Aussies will hit over 2.5 maximums tonight comfortably.
