48 of the best players in the world descend on Basel for the 2025 Swiss Darts Trophy, all vying to win the £30,000 top prize.
Dave Chisnall has started to pick up his form lately and was unlucky last week in Budapest when losing to Raymond van Barneveld in the second round. The Dutchman averaged 107.97, but Chizzy played his part, although he lost 6-1 with a 98.84 average.
Luke Woodhouse came through a last-leg decider yesterday to defeat Lukas Wenig with a 93.07 average. Woody hasn't had the best of times this season on the European Tour, and I think he's in for a tough afternoon against a seemingly rejuvenated Dave Chisnall.

Peter Wright's worrying form has continued this season, and he's now in danger of dropping out of the top 32 in the world. The lack of wins on the European Tour will also be detrimental to his seeding for these events, and he will eventually have to start attending the qualifiers for these tournaments.
Cor Dekker has looked very impressive lately in front of the cameras, and following a close 6-5 defeat against van Barneveld at the World Series Finals, the Norwegian followed that up with a brilliant 6-3 win over Andrew Gilding yesterday.
I still don't like to back against Peter Wright, simply because it's so hard to predict how he will perform. What I do like, though, is the 180 market.
Cor Dekker hit 3 in his match yesterday and had 4 during his match at the World Series Finals a few weeks ago, so I think he's a fantastic price to hit more than Snakebite this afternoon.

Gian van Veen was unlucky last week in Budapest, where he lost 6-3 to eventual champion Niko Springer in the second round. The Dutchman averaged 105.95 and hit 6 maximums in defeat.
Dirk van Duijvenbode beat fellow countryman Jitse van der Wal 6-2 yesterday to reach this stage. The charismatic Dutchman has been very inconsistent at times this season, but following his injury problems, he'll be pleased to be competing at this level regularly again.
I'm astonished to see the odds on this selection, especially with how big a scorer van Veen is. Dirk van Duijvenbode was always looked at as one of the biggest 180 hitters in the world, but since his injury problems, he's tailed off in that respect.
He's only hit over 3 180s in a match on the European Tour once in his last seven appearances, whilst van Veen hit six last week and remains near the top of the 180 stats for the season.

James Wade continued his solid season in Budapest last week with a run to the Quarter-Finals, losing out to Josh Rock 6-2.
He couldn't have been given a tougher draw today, though, as Ryan Joyce is also one of the most solid players on tour, so it's almost like they're playing against themselves.
It's rare for either of these two to lose matches heavily, so I'd imagine this will be a closely fought match, possibly going the distance.

Jonny Clayton has missed the last two European Tour events and hasn't played since the World Series Finals. The Welshman has been having a fantastic season, though, and even with a tough draw here, he'll be looking for another run.
Nathan Aspinall produced a 6-0 whitewash yesterday over home nation qualifier Andreas Toft Jorgensen. In truth, he never had to get out of 1st gear, with the Norwegian averaging just 71.27.
The Asp remains a prolific 180 hitter, and although Clayton has improved his power scoring since his return to form, the Englishman is consistently having more 180s than his opponents.
