The 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts descends into Germany for night 9 at the Uber Arena in Berlin.
Luke Littler will be looking to create more history after equalling the record of four nightly wins in a season last week in Newcastle. If he wins again tonight he will extend his eight-point cushion at the top of the table and become the first player in Premier League history to win five nightly titles in a single season.
The teenager continues to dominate and lost just 4 legs en route to victory in Newcastle. A 109.98 average and a 6-0 whitewash of Stephen Bunting in the quarter-final set the tone for the rest of the evening as he breezed past his opponents to claim maximum points and the £10,000 winners bonus.
Nathan Aspinall has won just one game over the last 3 nights in the Premier League but he played much better in Newcastle and avoided three consecutive quarter-final defeats with A 6-5 victory and a 97.09 average against MVG.
He was unlucky in the semi-final and produced a fantastic 101.18 average and 5 maximums in a 6-5 defeat to Luke Humphries. 'The Asp' has come through a tough time over the past 18 months to regain his place in the world's elite by winning Euro Tour 2 a few weeks ago.
Stephen Bunting is still looking for his first win in this year's Premier League after losing his previous eight matches in a row. He's now playing for pride rather than trying to qualify for the playoffs as he's currently 12 points adrift.
'The Bullet' arrives in Berlin excited after his performances on the ProTour this week after averaging 103 over his five matches during PC10 on Tuesday. He also averaged 111.72 during his last 16 victory over Mike de Decker which is more like the form we had seen from him before this Premier League campaign.
Unfortunately, I still can't see Bunting getting a win here as it now seems as though it's becoming a bit of a mental block on the Premier League stage.
It's never easy when you're in a rut and losing every week and I think Aspinall will take full advantage of that here and continue his push to the playoffs.

Luke Humphries broke his run of three consecutive quarter-final exits last week by making it to the final in Newcastle. He's still not on top form though averaging 92.93 in the quarter-final and 93.31 in the final but did have a fantastic performance in between that when he beat Nathan Aspinall 6-5 in the last four with a 106.73 average.
The World Number 1 is now eight points behind Littler in the table and still has work to do to guarantee his place at the 02 Arena for the playoffs. A 6-1 drumming by 'The Nuke' in Newcastle's finale will do nothing for his confidence and he needs to find something soon to compete with the dominant teenager.
Rob Cross has registered back-to-back wins against Gerwyn Price over the last few weeks to move himself level on 12 points with the Welshman and within striking distance of the playoffs. 'Voltage' has been ultra-consistent this year and hasn't lost his opening match in the Premier League since night 3.
This is the pair's first meeting since their epic encounter in Brighton where Humphries landed his first televised 9-darter, but Cross denied the World Number 1 victory with a magnificent 111.19 average and seven 180s to win 6-4.
I think it will be a close match tonight again but because of Cross's consistency during this campaign, I feel the price is far too big for him to win.

Chris Dobey has been left stranded in 7th position in the Premier League table and is now seven points adrift from the playoff positions. It's been a disappointing campaign for the Geordie and that was highlighted by his failure to perform well in front of his home crowd last week in Newcastle.
He lost 6-3 to Luke Humphries which of course was a tough opener but a 93.60 average just won't cut it at this level. He's won just one match in the last seven weeks and if he doesn't start getting results soon he'll be in big trouble. He played in the Players Championship events this week but lost in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Luke Littler continues to dominate the sport at the moment and he's looking for a record-breaking 5th nightly win tonight after easing his way to victory in Newcastle.
His standards are just incredible right now even with a mediocre semi-final and final last week where he averaged 97.51 and 93.62. Littler is proving that even when he's not on his A game he can win and that's an ominous sign for the rest of the field.
Luke Littler has had the Most 180s, Highest Checkout, and won in each of his last three opening matches in the Premier League so I expect him to start quickly once again tonight and come through this match comfortably.

Michael van Gerwen lost a tight game 6-5 to in-form Nathan Aspinall last week but he played well hitting four 180s and a 96.04 average. He finally broke his duck the week before and made a nightly final but succumbed to a brilliant 112 average by Luke Littler.
He skipped the Players Championship events this week and I think that was a good decision with having to travel back and forth so quickly to come to Berlin for tonight's Premier League and he should be refreshed and ready to go.
Gerwyn Price has said he's been suffering from an elbow injury over the last few weeks and that showed in his disappointing performance in Newcastle. He averaged just 86.17 in a 6-2 defeat to Rob Cross and has now lost back-to-back quarter-finals since winning night 6.
He did win PC09 on Monday which will give him a lot of confidence but he lost in the first round the following day to Dylan Slevin.
I worry about the amount Price has played this week and I'm surprised he didn't rest his elbow and skip the Players Championship events. MVG has looked better over the last few weeks in the Premier League and I think it's a fair price for him to come through this contest.
