The 2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts move onto Manchester at the AO Arena for night 10. Stephen Bunting is looking for back-to-back wins on Thursday after his fabulous victory in Berlin last week.
The Liverpudlian broke his eight-match losing streak in style with a hattrick of wins in Germany to claim night nine glory. The Bullet then went to Riesa and stormed to victory at European Tour 3 to extend his unbeaten run to eight matches in all competitions.
Luke Littler and Nathan Aspinall will be looking to put on a show in front of their home crowd in Manchester after they both lost their opening matches on night nine.
Chris Dobey produced a shock 6-2 victory over run-away leader Luke Littler in the quarter-final last week and will hope to push on again tonight as he's now just six points adrift of the playoff places.
Two quarter-final victories in the last three nights now for 'Hollywood' have settled him down as he looks to beat Michael van Gerwen for the first time in this year's Premier League after losing the previous two.
Michael van Gerwen was forced to withdraw from night 9 in Berlin after a freak shoulder injury whilst changing his shirt. It must have been frustrating for the Dutchman as he looked as if he was playing much better and that injury has stalled his progress.
He played in the Players Championship events this week but was bitterly disappointing losing the first round on both days against Maik Kuivenhoven and Rhys Griffin.
I'm surprised he didn't try and rest but he obviously felt able to play in Leicester but losing matches to players so far down the rankings won't do his confidence any good at all.
MVG is now just a point above Rob Cross in the Playoff positions and it's hard to predict how he'll perform tonight.
He's clearly under huge pressure and with the injury niggling away at him I think Dobey can take advantage and beat the Dutchman for the first time in the 2025 league phase.

Nathan Aspinall will be looking to extend his unbeaten run to eight matches against Rob Cross after winning their previous seven encounters. The Asp arrives here after making his second straight European Tour final last weekend.
The Stockport Star has lost his opening match in the Premier League in three of the last four nights and will be eager to avoid another quarter-final defeat here in front of his home crowd.
Rob Cross has spoken openly about needing a break from darts as he feels burnt out after his late withdrawal from the European Tour in Riesa over the weekend. He's had a break this week though after deciding to skip the Players Championship events in Leicester so should feel fresher this evening.
Voltage lost his opening match in the Premier League for the first time since night 3 in Berlin which ended a remarkably consistent run from the former World Champion.
He played well in his 6-3 defeat to Luke Humphries, averaging 99.68, and will need more of the same here if he's to break his losing streak against Aspinall.
The momentum and confidence Aspinall has right now must be sky-high after another run to a European Tour final at the weekend and he will know how good his record is against Cross and should come through this match and set up a semi-final match against Dobey or MVG.

Luke Littler is still searching for his fifth nightly title to break the Premier League record and will be looking to bounce back after losing his opening match in Berlin last week 6-2 against Chris Dobey. After back-to-back victories on nights 7 and 8, he was probably due a loss because even this bionic teenager is still human.
Gerwyn Price comes into tonight after winning his third Players Championship title of the season on Wednesday after he defied a 111 average from Josh Rock to claim the title in a deciding leg.
After successive quarter-final defeats on nights 7 and 8, he made it to the final last week in Berlin, losing 6-5 to Stephen Bunting. The Welshman looks in a bullish mood right now and has opened a three-point gap to Cross who's in fifth place.
Surprisingly, Gerwyn Price has won the last six meetings against Littler and The Nuke's last win against the Welshman came just under a year ago. The teenager did win on home soil here last year and I don't think he's a player to worry overly much about his record against players.
The Iceman will know he's on a hot run against Littler and I wouldn't be surprised if he got over the line here. However, I think the value is in the legs market as I expect another high-scoring, close game between these two titans of the sport.

Stephen Bunting finally registered his first win in this year's Premier League averaging 103.40 in a 6-2 victory over Nathan Aspinall. The relief he must have felt after that winning double went in must have been momentous and he's not looked back since.
He beat Luke Humphries 6-2 in the semi-final and Gerwyn Price 6-5 in the final to claim his maiden nightly title in 2025.
I think at times we have forgotten that Bunting is world number 4 and is more than capable of going on a run now after reducing the gap to the playoffs to eight points after his victory in Berlin.
The Bullet is now on an eight-match unbeaten run after going to Riesa after the Premier League and winning Euro Tour 3 beating fellow Premier League star Nathan Aspinall 8-5 in the final.
Luke Humphries suggested in his post-match interview after his opening victory in Riesa at the weekend that he felt flat and jaded from playing a lot of darts over the past few months. I think his comments were taken a little out of context though and some of the headlines of him threatening to quit were silly.
It's easy to criticize Humphries now he's world number one but he's still just 30 years old and what he's achieved over the past few years has been remarkable so I think we can forgive him if he fancies a rest.
The world's number one closed Littler's gap at the top to six points despite losing to Stephen Bunting 6-2 in the semi-final in Berlin, as the teenager suffered a shock quarter-final exit against Chris Dobey.
As always I'm going to mention momentum again and since tasting victory in last week's quarter-final, Stephen Bunting has been on a heater since and I think he'll scrape through against Humphries tonight. After the way he's played over the past two weeks, Bunting's price is far too big and the value is too much to ignore.
