2025 Players Championship Finals: Day 1 Afternoon Betting Tips

• Over 9.5 Legs: 11/8 at Boylesports

Nobody enjoys being first in the afternoon session, especially on the main stage at Minehead, where it is notoriously cold until the room gets packed.

Rob Cross is one of those players who struggles slightly with his grip in the cold, and his form coming into this has been dreadful.

Voltage hasn't won a game in the PDC in over a month and could be in for a battle today against the talented Sebastian Bialecki, who himself has won a Players Championship title this season.

• Ryan Joyce To Win: 3/4 at Coral

Dave Chisnall has had a tough season in the PDC, reaching just 5 quarter-finals after playing every European Tour and Players Championship event in 2025. Chizzy also doesn't have the best of records at Minehead and may struggle with the consistency of Ryan Joyce.

Joyce has had runs to the semi-final and quarter-final in the past 2 years at this event, and should have too much quality for the struggling Chisnall.

• Over 9.5 Legs: 1/1 at BoyleSports

Mike De Decker continues to search for his best form, but hasn't had a bad season. He returns to an event he has fond memories of, having reached the quarter-finals in 2024.

Cameron Crabtree comes to Minehead after the heartbreak of being denied in a straight shootout to get through his group at the Grand Slam.

In truth, he struggled with the pressure of that match, but the big stage experience would have done him good, and I think this could be a close match this afternoon.

• Over 9.5 Legs: 6/5 at Betfred

Danny Noppert reached his fifth TV semi-final of the year at last week's Grand Slam, and comes into this tournament looking in fabulous form. The Dutchman faces a tricky opener here, though, against the entertaining Evans.

Ricky Evans hasn't won a match at the Players Championship Finals since 2019, but comes into Minehead looking confident after a fabulous run to the quarter-final of the Grand Slam.

Rapid will know he has to be on top form this afternoon to get anything out of this game, but he will hope to catch the Dutchman cold, and this looks set to be a very competitive match.

• Jonny Clayton Most 180s & Win: 6/4 at bet365

Jonny Clayton has had a fantastic season and looks set to be in the Premier League mix, but he will need to get a disappointing Grand Slam campaign out of his mind after failing to get through the group stage last week.

The Ferret has made 3 semi-finals and two finals on TV this season, and should have far too much class for James Hurrell.

• Luke Woodhouse Most 180s & Win : 21/10 at bet365

Luke Woodhouse produced some fantastic performances at the Grand Slam last week and was bitterly unlucky to lose out in the knockout stages 10-9 to Ricky Evans.

Woody is now up to 24th in the world rankings and should have far too much for Alan Soutar, who is yet to win a match in the Players Championship Finals after three attempts.
