Danny Noppert continues to fly under the radar and has reached his 5th TV quarter-final of the season. Seven 180s and a 98.34 average were enough to get the job done 10-6 against fellow Dutchman, Michael Van Gerwen.
As always, Noppert seems to get through matches like that, without looking like he played that well, but still posts extremely solid numbers. That's a fantastic trait to have, and he has a magnificent chance of reaching another Major semi-final tonight.
Lukas Wenig is having a fantastic debut in the Grand Slam, reaching his first TV quarter-final in the PDC by defeating fellow German Niko Springer 10-8.
He's certainly not a name many would have picked to have advanced to this stage of the tournament, but if he wants to go any further, he'll need to up his levels.
Danny Noppert has a fabulous chance to reach another Major semi-final, and I think he does so pretty comfortably tonight. A win this evening would also keep him in the conversation for a Premier League pick, so this is a big night for The Freeze.

Luke Littler has breezed through to his second consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final. The defending champion made a potentially tricky tie look easy, as he beat Wessel Nijman 10-4. The Nuke didn't look as though he got out of first gear, and still finished with an average over 105.
One thing I have noticed lately, though, is that he isn't hitting as many maximums as he was a few months ago. The teenager has always been a prolific scorer, and it'll be interesting to see when that ultra-power scoring returns.
Josh Rock came through a very tough match against Connor Scutt in a last-leg decider. Both players seemingly struggled to get into their groove, but the Northern Irishman kept his nerve to serve out the match.
Rock will know he has to be bang on it this evening to get anything out of this match, but he's starting to show he can live with the elite on the big stage, and this looks set to be another big night in his career.
For me, Littler should come through this, but I can't see Josh Rock playing like he did in the last 16, so it won't be straightforward.
Again, like I said earlier about Littler's drop off in 180s lately, Rock is in a similar position after always being up there as one of the most prolific maximum hitters on tour. For that reason, the price for under 20.5 180s looks like tremendous value.
