• Jurgen van der Velde To Win: 4/5 at William Hill

Martin Lukeman continued his disappointing form yesterday, with a 5-1 defeat against Damon Heta, averaging just 83.04. This would have been the tournament to find form, because of his run to the final last year, I'd have expected him to be comfortable on that stage.

Jurgen van der Velde also suffered a 5-1 defeat yesterday, but didn't play badly (89.62), and I expect him to take full advantage of the struggling Englishman this afternoon.

• Over 7.5 Legs: 11/10 at Paddy Power

Jonny Clayton suffered a shock heavy defeat at the hands of Cam Crabtree yesterday and is now under pressure to qualify for the knockout stages. The Ferret will need to win today to stand any chance, but the leg difference is also a big factor after winning just one leg in his opener.

Lukas Wenig battled well but came up short in a 5-4 defeat to Danny Noppert. It wasn't the highest standard, but I think the German will settle now he's had a game and experienced the atmosphere here.

This is a big game for both, and I expect it to be a close contest.

• James Wade To Win: 13/8 at AK Bets

James Wade was unfortunate yesterday, averaging 97.12 in a 5-4 defeat to Steffan Bellmont, whilst Gerwyn Price also went down 5-4 against Ricky Evans.

This is a big match for both, and even though their leg difference is ok, they'll need a win today. For me, James Wade is a master at navigating through these situations; he's world-class under pressure, and I think he'll scrape past the Iceman this afternoon.

• Ricky Evans Most 180s & Win: 5/4 at BoyleSports

Ricky Evans continued his fabulous form, dispatching Gerywn Price 5-4 in his opener. The Kettering star averaged 95.73 and hit 4 180s en route to a fantastic victory over the Welshman.

Stefan Bellmont caused a shock by defeating world number five, James Wade, in his opening match with a 92.86 average, but the pace of play may play a big factor this afternoon.

When Evans is in a confident mood like this, he becomes extremely hard to beat, not just because of his play, but also the pace of play, and I think he'll breeze past Bellmont today.

• Wessel Nijman To Win: 5/4 at BetMGM

Gian van Veen was fortunate to come through his opener, 5-4 against Lisa Ashton, whilst Wessel Nijman defied a 109.23 average to defeat Josh Rock 5-4, averaging 101.39 himself.

Van Veen made some comments at the European Championship that he thought Nijman didn't have the bottle to be a top-16 player right now, and I think that could work against the European Champion this afternoon, putting Nijman in a defiant mood.

• Under 6.5 Legs: 19/10 at Ladbrokes

Nathan Aspinall will want to bounce back quickly after his abysmal display of finishing yesterday (3/22) during a 5-3 defeat to Michael Smith.

The Asp has been in fantastic form throughout most of 2025, though, and I expect him to come out firing this evening and inflict another heavy defeat on the American.

• Beau Greaves Most 180s: 5/4 at BoyleSports

Gary Anderson played well yesterday, but missed doubles at crucial times to allow Niko Springer in. A 5-4 loss means he still has plenty to play for, but faces a tough test tonight, and needs a win to give himself a chance to come through his 18th consecutive group stage.

Beau Greaves missed two darts to beat Michael van Gerwen in a last-leg decider last night. Greaves was magnificent, averaging 101.47, and looked completely at home playing on the big stage. Unfortunately, she's been handed such a tough group, but tonight she will once again compete with an elite dart player, and her scoring power will be key.

• Under 6.5 Legs: 33/20 at Virgin Bet

Luke Littler breezed past Karel Sedlacek 5-1 in his opener, averaging 98.64 and barely getting out of first gear. The levels of play this teenager has are frightening, especially after making a performance like that look so nonchalant.

Connor Scutt has had a tough year, but coming through a last-leg decider against Daryl Gurney yesterday should boost his confidence. After such a fantastic breakthrough year in 2024, the results haven't quite materialized in 2025, and he faces the toughest test of them all tonight.

The Nuke eased into the tournament last night and will want another dominant victory this evening, so I expect him to lay down a marker in this contest.

• Over 7.5 Legs: 5/4 at Betfred

It was a comfortable night for the World Number One last night, as he breezed past the struggling American, Alex Spellman, 5-0.

That result puts him in pole position of the group, and he'll want to capitalise on that this evening and avoid the chance to crash out of the group stage in successive years.

Michael Smith made a successful return to the big stage last night, defeating Nathan Aspinall 5-3. Three 180s and an 88.21 average were enough, but he'll need to perform better tonight.

I expect Bully Boy to be more comfortable after getting a game under his belt. Playing on TV regularly became second nature to him, but since struggling with form, it's never easy, whoever you are, to feel comfortable again instantly.

For that reason, I expect this to be a competitive match, perhaps even going to a last-leg decider.
