The European Tour continues this weekend in Prague for the Czech Darts Open, which will feature 48 of the best players in the world competing for the £30,000 top prize.
Ricardo Pietrezcko is having a tough season on the PDC Tour, currently on a seven-match losing streak, with just one win in his last 10 matches. It's worrying times for the young German, and although he has a promising record on the Euro Tour, this one isn't on home turf, and he could well get caught out here.
Benjamin Pratnemer is a capable operator and qualified for Euro Tour 6 earlier in the season, losing to Martin Lukeman 6-3 with a 92.26 average. If he plays like that again today, he will cause Pikachu problems, which will make this game tighter than most expect.

Jermaine Wattimena has been playing some excellent stuff lately and was victorious at PC23 at the end of July. He's looking confident again and looks to have found the form from last season that made him so dangerous.
Brendan Dolan looks to be struggling to keep up with the standard nowadays. Although he's had a fabulous career, he doesn't seem to be the same gritty player he used to be, which is understandable given that he is now 52. He remains dangerous, though, but will have his work cut out today against the in-form Dutchman.

Ryan Joyce remains one of the most consistent players on the PDC Tour. He doesn't, however, enjoy travelling to these European Tours, and he could really feel the pressure today against a home favourite.
Karel Sedlacek is, without doubt, the best player to come out of the Czech Republic, and he will relish playing in front of his home crowd. He's also in fabulous form at the moment, winning nine of his last twelve matches on tour.
He played fantastically well last week in Belgium, beating Wessel Nijman 6-5 with a 98.90 average, before losing to Josh Rock 6-5. Results like that on the big stage will do him the world of good, and he looks great value to cause a slight upset this afternoon.

Luke Woodhouse continues to look impressive on the big stages and proved it again last week with a fabulous run to the quarter-final at Euro Tour 10. Woody recorded three 100+ averages in four games in Belgium, and if he carries on with that form today, he'll cause O'Connor huge problems.
I always mention that I think William O'Connor is one of the most underrated players on tour, but his big-stage form has been a problem lately. He doesn't seem to settle as well as he does on the floor, and as much as the bookies are struggling to split these two, I think Woodhouse can come through this fairly comfortably.

The great Dutchman continues to qualify for European Tours, but seems to struggle nowadays to get over the line on the big stage. Whether that's lack of concentration or just the heat on the stage, I'm not sure, but he was 4-1 up against Ryan Searle last week and lost 6-5, and that happens far too often now for a player of his ability.
Krzysztof Ratajski has found his form again after struggling for a few years and looks dangerous again. He had a good run at Euro Tour 10 last week, seeing off Steve Lennon and Chris Dobey, before losing in the last 16 6-5 to Daryl Gurney.
Barney remains competitive, and on his day, can still compete with the best. I believe Ratajski will win here, but the Dutchman is more than capable of keeping it close.

Mike De Decker has had an inconsistent season, but did have a good run to the final of the Australian Darts Masters, losing out to Luke Littler 8-4.
Edhouse is really struggling for form this season, and in truth has struggled since winning the European Championship in 2024. Darts is massively confidence-based, and to me, he just looks like a man searching for confidence, which is never ideal.
Both these players have been massive 180 hitters in the past, but nowadays it doesn't seem so likely, although the Belgian seems to hit a lot more than Edhouse nowadays.

Joe Cullen continues to search for his best form, but there have been signs of it this season. His main issue is, he can either be brilliant or dreadful, and for some reason, there is no in between. Darts is a funny game when your mind isnt 100% confident, but he does love the big stage, so I think it's only a matter of time before he's back to his best.
Niko Springer remains one of the most exciting talents in world darts, but he's still only 25 and in his first season as a professional. There have been signs of frailties lately, which is understandable, but he knows how to win on the big stage, which he proved with a fabulous run to the final of European Tour 7 in May.
Tonight may come down to experience. Cullen doesn't like being the underdog, and he beat Springer a few weeks ago in the first round of PC25, 6-4. The Rockstar thrives off the big occasions, and I think he's huge value here for victory.
