Ryan Searle is yet to lose a set in this year's tournament, and looks poised to make it to his first World Championship semi-final. Searle has averaged over 100 in his last two matches, and doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon.
Jonny Clayton has had a strange World Championship campaign after receiving a bye in round two after Dom Taylor failed a drug test. In truth, The Ferret has looked a little rusty, but will be mightily relieved to have come through the last round 4-2 against Andreas Harrysson to become provisionally number 4 in the World.
The Premier League looks to be playing on the Welshman's mind, and I think even after currently becoming an automatic pick, he hasn't settled so far in this tournament. He has, however, hit more maximums than Searle in this tournament, and I expect the same again today, but Searle to come through.

It's been vintage Gary Anderson in this tournament so far, and it doesn't look like that's going to change. In his post-match interview after beating Michael van Gerwen, he said it was a scrappy game. The Flying Scotsman still averaged 99, and if he feels that was poor, the rest of the field is in trouble.
Justin Hood has been the story of this World Championship. He's held himself brilliantly throughout and thoroughly deserves his place in the quarter-final.
For a debutant, it's unusual to look as comfortable as he has done, and to become a crowd favourite so quickly, but tonight is a big test for him, as he faces another crowd favourite and one of the best players to grace the sport.
Ive said it a lot, but experience at Ally Pally is key, and even though Justin Hood has played so well on debut, this is the quarter-final and a huge occasion. Whether he handles it the same as he has done previously is a guessing game, and I think Anderson's experience will shine through today, and he'll reach his 8th PDC World Championship semi-final.

Luke Littler has shown his class throughout this tournament, and in truth, looks a class above the rest of the field. In my opinion, though, he made a mistake during his win over Rob Cross in his post-match interview. The crowd may now turn against him, and it'll be interesting to see how he deals with that.
Krzysztof Ratajski can treat this tournament as a free roll after surviving multiple match darts in the last 32 against Wesley Plaisier. The Polish Eagle averaged 96.68 during his victory over Luke Woodhouse in the last 16, and if he plays like that again this evening, he will remain competitive.
Ratajski is steady as a rock and has looked back to his best during his World Championship campaign. He's one of the players on tour who won't worry about playing the teenage sensation and will stick to his game plan.
If the Pole remains solid, he can push The Nuke, and I think it's a huge price for him to nick at least two sets in this match.

Gian van Veen has been seriously impressive in this tournament, and at this moment in time, looks the better player. Whether that plays out on stage against the experienced former World Champ, I'm not sure, but this could certainly be the match of the session.
Humphries has been tested big time in his last two matches and has come through, averaging 100 in both. That's testament to the player he has become, and the experience of big matches like this will certainly work in his favour.
Gian van Veen has made it through to his first World Championship quarter-final and looks a certainty now for Premier League selection. The European Champion has lost just four sets on his way to this stage, and has shown flashes of his brilliant best, including the highest individual average of the tournament so far (108.28)
I can see this going the distance, and the match result is something I'd avoid. Gian van Veen is the bigger scorer of the two, and when he gets that first dart at the bottom of the treble, he can be relentless.
I'm surprised to see Humphries favourite with the bookmakers to hit the most 180s, and for that reason, van Veen looks fantastic value to outdo him in that respect tonight.
