Saturday's Free Football Betting Tips & Predictions (Dec 13)

• Southampton to Win and Over 1.5 Match Goals: 1.42/1 at AKBets

We're starting this off with the first game on Saturday, in one of the Championship's early kick-offs, and I am backing Southampton to win and more than 1.5 goals to be scored. Both teams have been in high-scoring games this season, and I think this clash could be no different.

The Saints are the most in-form team in the league currently, and are well on their way towards fighting for promotion to the Premier League. They should get past a poor Norwich team here, I think.

• Ipswich to Win: 6/5 at Betfred

Leicester have been an interesting team this season, and they will continue to be for a while. However, my interest is in their visitors this weekend. Ipswich came down with ambitions of a top-flight return instantly.

The first few weeks were difficult, but they have stabilised now and hope to be in the title fight. Winning three of their last five - including a hammering of Coventry City - I think they can add another three points this weekend.

• Luton to Win: 4/5 at Coral

I'm quite surprised that this price is available, in all honesty, so it's one I'm looking to take advantage of. Port Vale have been dismal this season, and they have lost five of their last six games.

Whilst the Hatters have been questionable lately, I think they'll be fine this weekend and could turn around their form with a welcome fixture against League One's biggest strugglers.

• Cardiff City to Win: 4/5 at Unibet

I'm sticking with the same idea here, and this is another price which I do not understand. Whilst Cardiff are not bullet-proof, the fact that they are this close to Evens against a League One struggler is a surprise.

The Bluebirds have established themselves as the favourites to win the title in recent weeks, and they should be winning their fifth game in a row this weekend.

• Swindon to Win: 11/8 at 888Sport

Finally, I'm dipping my toe into League Two for another early kick-off bet. There is a well-known mantra about backing the early games, but I see no reason to stay away here.

Again, I'm looking to take advantage of form, and with Bristol Rovers losing nine of their last 10 games, I cannot understand why this price is above Evens. Swindon have been patchy in their last five games, but I still think they are better than what the odds suggest.

I'm happy to go against the early kick-off rule here, certainly.
