Saturday's Football fixtures are a huge part of the English tradition and I'm here to provide some insight and try and find the best value in selected matches.

Burnley vs Nottingham Forest

Burnley have conceded successive stoppage-time goals, suffering back-to-back defeats against Manchester United and Liverpool. Three defeats in four will do nothing for their confidence, but Scott Parker should be pleased with how competitive they have been thus far.

Ange Postecoglou's reign as Nottingham Forest manager started with a 3-0 loss against Arsenal, and it may take time to transition. Forest have a good recent record against promoted sides though, winning five of their six away games, so a Reds win looks most likely here.

Brighton vs Tottenham

Fabian Hurzeler is under pressure at Brighton after leading them to their worst start to a season since 2020/21 with just four points. The Seagulls completed a double over Tottenham last season, but this Spurs side looks a different prospect under Thomas Frank.

Tottenham secured an opening Champions League victory over Villarreal during the week and can add to their points tally and momentum with another win here.

Thomas Frank has made Spurs solid, and for the first time in a long time, they are defensively sound and can come away with a hard-fought victory at The Amex.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

West Ham have conceded 11 goals in the Premier League this season, and after back-to-back heavy home defeats against Chelsea and Tottenham, another defeat today at the London Stadium could cost Graham Potter his job.

Crystal Palace extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 10 matches following their 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland.

The Eagles have enjoyed the better of recent encounters between these two sides, winning four out of the last six fixtures, and they look set to pile more misery onto the home fans with a win today.

Norwich vs Wrexham

Norwich had to defend for their lives for a huge majority of the match against Coventry last week and ultimately conceded a late equaliser to draw 1-1.

The Canaries should take confidence from that result, though, and they are a much better side at home, so they should have too much for Wrexham, who are just two points above the relegation zone after a disappointing start to their return to the Championship.

Blackburn vs Ipswich

Both sides have had poor starts to the season, but both continue to score goals, especially Ipswich, who thumped Sheffield United last weekend, 5-0. Blackburn are unbeaten in eight of their previous nine home fixtures against the Tractor Boys, so both teams to score looks extremely likely here.
