There is a big week of football ahead as I look to find the best value in selected Tuesday fixtures.
Athletic Club have reached the Champions League for the first time since 2014/15, after a fourth-place finish in La Liga last season. A semi-final run to the Europa League last season shows they can compete, but they come into tonight after losing their first league game of the season, 1-0 to Alaves.
Arsenal breezed past Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the weekend, but they suffered more injuries and will be without a few key players for this fixture. The Gunners have won four of their last five Champions League away games, though, and should have too much for their Spanish opponents.
PSV became champions of the Netherlands for the 26th time last year and have won five of their last six competitive matches so far this season. The Dutch side have also scored in each of their last 16 European home games, so they look primed to take advantage of this match-day one fixture.
Union St.Gilloise became champions of Belgium for the first time since 1934/35, to book their ticket in the UCL League Phase for the first time in their history. The Belgian side lost four of their six European away games last season, but the two they won were in the Netherlands.
Juventus have qualified for the Champions League for a second successive season, after finishing fourth in Serie A. They come into this match full of confidence after a dramatic 4-3 win over Inter Milan on Saturday.
Dortmund are unbeaten in four matches so far this season and have won three of their last four match-day 1 fixtures in the Champions League. They face a real stern test tonight, though, and after Juve scored so late on Saturday, they will be on a huge high coming into this.
Real Madrid's new manager, Xabi Alonso, has guided the team to four wins from four so far this season, as they enter their Champions League campaign, seeking a record-extending 16th European Cup.
Marseille enters the Champions League for the first time since the 2022/23 season, but they have a dire away record in this competition, having won just one of their last 11 away matches. Robert De Zerbi has also failed to win a fixture in this competition in six attempts and face the ultimate test tonight against Los Blancos.

UEFA Europa League winners Tottenham start their Champions League campaign under Thomas Frank, in what will be his maiden European campaign as a manager. Spurs have been much better so far this season and come into this tie after an impressive 3-0 away victory at West Ham.
Villarreal lost their first La Liga match of the season on Saturday, as they went down 2-0 away to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side reached the semi-finals of the UCL in 2021/22 and will have to find that form again to get anything here against a structured home side.
