Saturday's Football fixtures are a huge part of the English tradition and I'm here to provide some insight and try and find the best value in selected matches.
Aston Villa suffered a disappointing 3-0 thrashing at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace. However, Unai Emery's side are still well in the race for Champions League qualification.
Villa conceded an injury-time goal to lose at Man City 2-1 last week, but can get back to winning ways here at Villa Park after avoiding defeat in their last 16 matches on home turf.
Fulham are still in with a shout of Champions League qualification and would move within 3 points of Villa with a win here, but the Cottagers have lost all of their last five visits to Villa Park and could be outclassed in this contest.
Norwich have performed well under expectations this season, but after the recent sacking of Johannes Thorup, Jack Wilshere has stepped up as caretaker manager, and the Canaries were much improved during their 0-0 draw at Middlesbrough last week.
It looks likely that Wilshere is set for a permanent appointment and can bolster his chances with a victory here.
Cardiff have been relegated to League One and have won just 2 matches away from home all season.
Josh Sargent has scored 15 goals this season and missed a big chunk of matches through injury, and can take advantage of Cardiff's leaky defence that has conceded 69 goals in the Championship at a rate of 1.5 goals per match.
Portsmouth are now guaranteed Championship survival after going four matches unbeaten, including a 5-3 away win at Norwich. Pompey have lost just five of their last fourteen league matches and come into this game with freedom.
Hull City have been extremely disappointing this season and come into the final match of the season knowing that a victory would guarantee them safety. Just one win in their last five has put them in trouble, but they have managed to win seven of their 22 matches away from home this season.
Portsmouth are safe and have no pressure on them, whilst Hull need to win here, so for me, the value is with the home side as they'll look to end the season strongly.
Coventry come into the last game of the Championship season knowing a victory all but secures them a playoff place. Two defeats in a row haven't helped their chances, but they've been mightily impressive at home this season, winning 13 of their 22 matches.
Middlesbrough have faltered in their pursuit of a top 6 finish after one win in their last five matches, but still have an outside chance of making the playoffs. Luck will have to be on their side, though, as even with a win here, they'd have to rely on results elsewhere to go their way.
Boro have lost their last two away league matches and have lost 11 of their 22 games on the road this season. Coventry can take advantage of the stuttering away side and confirm their playoff place with a win at the CBS Arena.
Bristol City can secure a playoff position with a win against relegation-threatened Preston at Ashton Gate. Liam Manning's side haven't lost a home game since February, so they can take positives being back on home soil after back-to-back away defeats.
Preston have lost four in a row and are in real danger of relegation if they lose here today. Just one win in their last twelve has dragged them into a relegation battle, and with just 3 wins on the road this season, it looks very likely they'll suffer the same fate again this afternoon and will have to hope results go their way to avoid relegation to League One.
