Bet UK is a relatively new betting site in the UK, launched back in 2018, and has the backing of the gambling powerhouse LeoVegas. With a familiar design and a comprehensive sportsbook, there is a lot to like about this bookie. In this review, we will highlight the pros and cons so that you can decide whether or not to sign up.

Thanks to the backing of LeoVegas, which owns and operates Bet UK, there is a lot to like about the site. A decent welcome offer is up for grabs and the promotions section is not too shabby either. Combined with a very comprehensive sportsbook - offering all the markets you could want - as well as a top-notch betting app, Bet UK is clearly a strong contender in the betting industry.
The range of payment methods is just about enough here, with PayPal being the only e-wallet, while the deposit/withdrawal limits are nothing to brag about either. There is still some potential for growth, in other words, but Bet UK will indeed be a good choice for most punters in the UK. Therefore, even if just for the welcome offer, we recommend signing up on Bet UK.

Bet UK first began operations in 2012 with the casino section of the site, making waves above all thanks to the convenient domain address. In 2018, the LeoVegas Group acquired the site and decided to launch its first sportsbook-focused product. As a result of this ownership, some might recognise the design, which is also present on sites such as BetMGM.
Although LeoVegas is known around the world, Bet UK still has a rather small profile and has attempted to remedy this with partnerships. The biggest one, of course, is with the football club Manchester City. Bet UK is the club's official betting partner in the UK and this has surely resulted in some Etihad fans signing up on the site.
Having said all of this, most punters are probably unfamiliar with Bet UK and will want to know more about the betting site. In this review, therefore, we take a look at everything you need to know about the brand. We also highlight the pros and cons, so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.
As part of the LeoVegas Group, Bet UK is licensed and regulated in the UK by the Gambling Commission. Potential new customers will not have to worry about safety, in other words, although issues were never expected on that front given LeoVegas' backing. Of course, the licence is never a guarantee for high quality, which is why it is important to probe carefully especially with new betting sites in the UK.
Taking a look at Trustpilot, Bet UK has a rather poor rating at 2.1 out of five stars, with most customers complaining about withdrawals being held as 'Pending'. Others were also disappointed with the customer support. There certainly seems to be a theme of issues at Bet UK, so new customers should be wary of this.
Unfortunately, we tend to see poor scores for betting sites on Trustpilot, partly because only negative experiences tend to be reviewed but also because the betting sites have a lot to work on these days.
Taking a look at the welcome offer at Bet UK, new customers can make use of a bet £10 get £30 deal, which is on the more generous side of welcome offers in the UK. To qualify for the welcome offers, new customers need to place a £10+ bet at a minimum odds of 1/2 (1.5) on any sportsbook market. Once this bet has been settled, the free bets will be credited as follows:
The free bets will expire after 7 days and the stakes will not be returned with potential winnings, which is what you would expect. Some punters are not huge fans of having the free bets decided for them, but this has become increasingly common among betting sites. And for many, this will be an opportunity to explore the sportsbook properly as well.
Compared to the best welcome offers in the industry, Bet UK's is certainly a good one and some punters will sign up just to claim it. It should be noted that you will not need any BetUK promo codes to claim the offers below.
Operator | Welcome Offer | Bonus Code | Claim Offer | |

| Welcome Offer Bet £10 Get £30 in Free Bets | No code required | Claim Offer | New cust only. There are quite a few promotions for sports punters to make use of at Bet UK, though the selection has changed just in the last few months. The site is no longer partnered with the well-known footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa, having removed their 'Acca-Fenwa Club' promotion as a result.
Instead, there is a weekly free bet deals in place for bet builders (2 x £5) as well as a horse racing bet club 2 x £3). Horse racing punters will also be happy to hear that Bet UK offers Best Odds Guaranteed for UK and Irish races. This was not mentioned in the promotions section, which is the case with many bookmakers, but the information can instead be found on the horse racing page.
Customers who sign up at Bet UK will find that the site has a decent range of payment methods. Debit cards can be used, as you would expect, but those who prefer to deposit with PayPal will have to choose a bookie that supports the method.
Indeed, BetUK does not accept deposits or withdrawals with any e-wallet, instead relying on the standard methods as well as Apple Pay. Furthermore, deposits as low as £5 cannot be made on the site as punters must add at least £10 instead.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the deposit methods at Bet UK:
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Visa | £10 | £3,000 | No fee | Instant |
Mastercard | £10 | £3,000 | No fee | Instant |
Apple Pay | £10 | £3,000 | No fee | Instant |
Paypal | £10 | £1,000 | No fee | Instant |
Bank Transfer | £10 | £10,000 | No fee | Instant |
If you would like to find out how to deposit funds into a BetUK account, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
Once you have opened the BetUK app, adding funds to your betting account is a very straightforward process. Simply tap the profile option in the top right corner of the screen, then choose the 'Deposit' option in the menu.
In the cashier, you will be given three deposit methods: Apple Pay, instant transfer, or debit card. Simply choose your preferred method and enter the necessary details. In our test, we used a Visa debit card.
Next, you will have to enter the amount that you would like to deposit. The minimum amount is £10 and that is what we opted to go with.
Before you can tap the red 'Deposit' button, which completes the process, you need to tick the two boxes at the bottom to confirm that you have acknowledged the information. But once that is done, tap the button and start betting.
The same methods that are available for deposit can also be used for withdrawals. Those who prefer fast withdrawals of betting funds should opt for Visa Direct, which as confirmed by our test is significantly faster than the other methods. On that topic, bank transfer is the slowest method but the maximum withdrawal is also higher, which could come in handy.
Just like with deposits, the minimum amount you can withdraw at Bet UK is £10. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the withdrawal methods at Bet UK:
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Visa | £10 | £8,000 | No fee | 90 minutes in our test |
Mastercard | £10 | £8,000 | No fee | 1-3 business days |
Apple Pay | £10 | £8,000 | No fee | 1-3 business days |
Paypal | £10 | £4,000 | No fee | Within 24 hours |
Bank Transfer | £10 | £35,000 | No fee | 3-5 business days |
If you are new to withdrawing funds from a BetUK account, you can follow our step-by-step guide for some assistance below:
To initiate a withdrawal request on the BetUK app or website, head over to the profile section by tapping the profile icon in the top right corner. Then, instead of 'Deposit', choose the 'Withdraw' option to reach the right cashier.
In the first step of the withdrawal process, you will be presented with three payment methods: Apple Pay, instant transfer or debit card. In our test, we opted to proceed with a Visa debit card.
The final step of the process is to enter how much you want to withdraw. We opted for the minimum withdrawal amount of £10, which is okay but some betting sites offer the option to withdraw as little as £5.
Finally, tap the red ‘Withdraw’ button (see image above) to complete the request. It took four hours for the money to arrive in the bank account, in our test of the withdrawal process that is, and it was likely thanks to the Visa Direct feature.
Bet UK, as mentioned in the 'Is Bet UK Safe?' section, is licensed by the Gambling Commission and regulations require them to confirm the identities of its customers. Therefore, there is a KYC (Know Your Customer) process in place at Bet UK, and customers who sign up on the site will have to provide one or both of the following:
Customers can upload these documents 'My Account' section of the Bet UK site, which should make for a smooth verification process. It is important to comply with this as you will not be able to withdraw funds before it has been completed. It is also a good idea to verify the account before depositing large amounts of money and potentially scoring big.
New customers at Bet UK will find a comprehensive sportsbook with nearly 40 different sports to bet on, from the big ones such as football and horse racing to bowling and lacrosse. Since the site is owned and operated by the LeoVegas Group, you would not expect anything else from the site, but let's dive a little bit deeper into the offering.
Taking a look at the Premier League games, as these are often a good reference, we found that there were around 350 markets available for each. Some big games even had more, closing in on 400, and this is certainly in line with the best football betting sites. There is also a good bet builder available, with markets such as player shots on target and player card. This is not just for the Premier League either, with leagues such as Serie A having it too.
Betting margins is another important aspect when assessing a bookmaker, although this is something that most punters do not think about. Our testing showed an average of 5.89% for Bet UK, which is among the best scores in the industry currently. Punters will not have to worry about excessive fees when placing their bets, in other words.
Moving on to the horse racing coverage, Bet UK offers meetings from all over the world and there is even live streaming for the UK and Irish ones. Ante-post markets are also offered for big events such as the Cheltenham Festival. Combined with the standard best odds guaranteed, as was mentioned in the 'Bet UK Promotions section', this makes the site a decent option for horse racing punters.
As already mentioned, many smaller sports are available at Bet UK and this - coupled with bigger sports such as tennis - makes the sportsbook a good overall product. Special markets such as political betting odds, or even more light-hearted bets on the next Eurovision winner, can also be found on the Bet UK site. The interest has grown on this front in recent years, so it is good that the bookie is keeping up.
Those who like to bet on Esports, rather than the classic sports events, will not be disappointed at Bet UK as this section is fairly comprehensive. We could not find any section with virtual games, however, which is a bit of a let-down as some punters like to be able tot bet at all times. Overall, though, it must be said that Bet UK's sportsbook is comprehensive.
Even though Bet UK has made a strong play with its sportsbook, the casino side of things is also important. Games from most of the leading studios and developers in the business are available to play at Bet UK, such as Quickspin, IGT, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Evolution and Wazdan. This means that the selection is indeed comprehensive.
Live casino games are among the most popular in the UK these days, with the Bet UK site offering plenty of live dealer tables including a few exclusives that will not be found elsewhere. Old casino classics such as roulette, blackjack and baccarat, as well as other games such as Crazy Time, Monopoly and Deal Or No Deal can be found here. Live poker games are also available, which is good news as Bet UK does not have a poker site.
It is slots that make up the majority of the games on the site, though. An impressive selection of titles includes well-known games such as Rainbow Riches, Big Wheel and Rainbow Jackpots, while there are plenty of progressive jackpots to try out too. While there are hundreds of slots offered, it is not particularly easy to navigate around here.
There is a search function that can be used to find a specific game and users can also type in the name of a game provider to filter the selection. But while a lot of top online casinos in the UK have a menu system with pages for new games, popular games and so on, Bet UK does not.
Jackpot slots from the likes of Blueprint, IGT and Red Tiger Gaming are always going to be among the most popular games to play at the Bet UK casino. Due to the fact they share the same jackpot, it is often the case that millions of pounds in prizes are up for grabs here. Fishin' Frenzy, Cop the Lot, Reel King Mega and The Great Train Robbery are some of the best jackpot slots included in the impressive library of games at Bet UK at present time.
Table games have been neglected at some UK online casinos, due to the rise in interest in live dealer games in recent years, with Bet UK offering a small selection in this area. Table games include blackjack and roulette, while there are first-person versions of popular live dealer titles such as Dream Catcher and Deal Or No Deal available to check out at Bet UK, which is good.
Overall, Bet UK's online casino is a solid option, though the lack of a VIP rewards scheme and relatively few casino bonuses for existing customers, unfortunately, do count against the site.
As most punters are used to placing bets on mobile apps these days, it has become increasingly important for bookmakers to offer a good product on this front. Bet UK has made sure to follow the trend, offering an app for both iOS and Android, which boasts fantastic ratings on both of these platforms.
On both the App Store and the Google Play Store, it has an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars and this makes it one of the best betting apps in the UK, Punters who sign up on Bet UK will most likely not be let down by the app, in other words, although this was pretty much expected given the backing of LeoVegas.
Judging by some of the reviews, there is still scope for the app to become even better, so that might well happen in the near future. To download the app, simply head over to your app store and search for 'Bet UK'. The app, which features a blue logo with the 'Bet UK' text, should then pop up.
As the Gambling Commission has been clamping down on social responsibility failures of betting sites, it has become increasingly important for the latter to have tools for responsible gambling in place. These can go a long way to preventing gambling addiction, which seems to be on the rise, and some of the tools available at Bet UK are:
Customers are urged to start with deposit limits as these can prevent unwanted spending, and force the punter to think one more time. There is also a 'Safer Gambling' page on Bet UK with all the information needed about the tools. Customers will also find links to third-party organisations, such as GamCare, where additional help can be found.
A handy help centre should be the first port of call for anyone who needs to access Bet UK customer support, as this area is home to a comprehensive frequently asked questions section.
Bet UK customers will be able to find detailed answers to common queries on everything from safety and security matters such as privacy and GDPR to how Bet UK deposits and withdrawals work, detailing any important terms and conditions that need to be mentioned. For those who cannot find the answers they want in the help centre, there are two main ways to get in touch with Bet UK customer support.
Live chat can be accessed via an icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, with agents generally fast to respond and able to resolve issues. How quickly you will be connected to an agent depends on what time of the day you are reaching out, though, which is worth keeping in mind. But the live chat is indeed available 24/7.
Email is the other main way for users to contact Bet UK customer support. The email address to use to send a message to Bet UK's customer support agents is [email protected]. While Bet UK does have a presence on social media sites such as Twitter, these are not used for customer support.

WARNING DO NOT SIGN UP TO BET UK - THIS COMPANY WILL SCAM YOU AND LEAVE YOU OUT OF POCKET They will claim you have to click opt in to receive your introductory free bets when you sign up but choose not to honk ur then as they place restrictions on your account and not tell you. They then claim dont tell every customer that signs up that they have restrictions on their account. Worse still you will be waiting for a very long time in their live chat function to raise any issue with their support team. I waited 30 mins and the chat screen randomly refreshed itself and sent me back to the queue. Also when I tried to withdraw my remain funds once I realised these guys were a scam they said I had to send a copy of my drivers licencepassport recent bill and copy of my bank account statement. They will not cancel or refund any of your pending withdrawals and you will be left out of pocket. Worse still they dont have a phone number at all so youre left at the mercy of their terrible live chat function or emailing their support team. DO NOT SIGN UP TO BET UK AT ANY COSTS THEY ARE A MISLEADING SCAMMING COMPANY.If I could give a minus rating I would.
