It has not been a great season by Rangers' standards, and a new head coach will arrive this summer, but will it be a case of a return? Well, the odds suggest it could well be.
Below are the latest betting odds for Rangers' next permanent manager at the time of this post.
This season, Celtic have won yet another league title, meaning it has now been four years since that fateful season under Steven Gerrard, where the side won the SPFL and 55 in the process. Something which must change, ultimately.
Of course, you can look at the good run in Europe as a great example of what can be achieved with this club; after all, there are solid foundations in place. However, there has been more good to speak about away from the league in recent years, and this is probably not the best thing.
So, who can be the man to restart the project, and potentially bring league success back to the Blue side of Glasgow?
Let's go over the favourites to replace Philippe Clement and the odds for each manager.
The favourite to take the reins at present is Steven Gerrard, who has floated around jobs since his spell with Rangers. Unfortunately for him, nothing has really stuck, so he is once again looking for a job.
It, perhaps, comes at the perfect time for all parties to consider reuniting, considering how both have done since splitting. However, it also could be a sentimental hire, which might not be what is needed currently.

The inclusion of Marco Rose on this list is certainly interesting, considering the German has only just left RB Leipzig, who are probably a step higher than Rangers, with the greatest respect.
However, reports speculate that the money that could come in from the 49ers Enterprises Group, who are aiming to buy the club, could be the start of something huge, and Rose could be the man to lead the project forward.
At 4/1, I think it is too short for me to take real notice of, but it could certainly be a move to watch.

As someone who is a big fan of Sean Dyche's work, this feels like it could be a really interesting pick. However, it also feels really cliche and a bit lazy from the bookmakers.
Whilst reports suggest that Kevin Thelwell has begged the Rangers board to hire the Englishman, it also feels like a bit of a stereotypical prod at the market, considering what Dyche's reputation is like.
It could be a great appointment, but I'd be quite unsure at these odds.

Rafa Benitez is listed at 16/1, but I think there are certainly better candidates about, especially when considering that the Spaniard's stock has only fallen in the past few years.
Gary O'Neil is also a price of interest at 20/1, admittedly as is Russell Martin, who have both had wavering support in recent years.
