Media Watch - Love Island 2025

For those of you who were around for our I'm A Celebrity or Love Island All Stars odd watches and tips, welcome back to Media Watch! If you weren't with us for that, do not worry. This area does what it says on the tin; we take a look at some of the big stories of the past few days in one place to potentially help with any selections.

This week, again, has been a bit mad for Love Island fans with a lot happening all at once. We have seen Conor and Megan continue to get closer, and the Daily Mail relays thoughts from some viewers calling her a 'gaslighter'.

In fact, fans of the show are now worried that favourite Tommy could even leave, as the Bristol Post writes. It comes after he cried on Tuesday night's episode due to the events with his current partner.

However, his position in the market has not weakened, but more on that later.

We also have gained four new bombshells for the Island, who are partaking in a 'Sleepover', as Cosmopolitan relays. Caprice, Giorgio, the brother of Arsenal Women star Alessia Russo, Poppy and Will. They took Emily, Helena, Dejon and Remell, with each showing signs of further drama.

In other words, the drama is not slowing down.

Who Is the Favourite to Win Love Island?

If picking a winner was not difficult enough already, this week has thrown everything back into the fire. I'd go as far as saying that this is the most difficult to predict a winner as it has ever been in this series.

Tommy, despite his issues with Megan, is the clear favourite to win the show, with his odds shortening after Tuesday's episode. His price is not drastic, but it is certainly looking more preferable for him, indeed.

Conor Phillips, who is the second favourite and is getting closer to Megan, is drifting in the market, though not by massive amounts really. I would imagine this would continue if he continues to get more involved with Megan.

For the female market, Megan is still the favourite, given she is involved with the top two male favourites, it is no shock. However, her odds have also been drifting, with the market standing more with Tommy.

Previously, she had been around the 7/4 mark to be 'Top Female', but now her odds have gone to almost 3/1. It would not be a surprise if she were not the favourite to win the show this time next week, definitely.

Shakira Khan remains the second favourite, and I think she stands a good chance at heading into favouritism...

Ben's Points of Interest

Again, I'm slightly wary with this section, as I am not too confident in any of the couples currently. However, I like to take a little look at potential selections every few days, so I'm going to do the same here.

A bet I (want to say) like is for Tommy to be Top Male. At above evens, I think this price could be really good in a few weeks. He is a fan favourite and he has taken viewers' hearts, so there is a lot of security with him, I think.

That being said, I am unsure how the next few days will play out, so it makes betting on this market rather difficult.

If I were going to play a double, he would be involved. I'd consider playing with the odds of Shakira Khan and Emily Moran, whom Tommy has shown interest in. Shakira's situation is not solid and an effort could be made, whilst I think the same with Emily.

You can get a double with Shakira at 12/1 with Star Sports, whilst V Bet are paying 29/1 for the double with Emily...

It is worth noting that this is not me tipping them. Rather, if I wanted to have a go at the markets, this is what I'd be considering. Even then, it would be low stakes, as too much is up in the air.
