Media Watch - Love Island 2025

For those of you who were around for our I'm A Celebrity or Love Island All Stars odd watches and tips, welcome back to Media Watch! If you weren't with us for that, do not worry. This area does what it says on the tin; we take a look at some of the big stories of the past few days in one place to potentially help with any selections.

We start with the Daily Mail, which relayed comments from dumped island Blu, who stated that he was 'gutted' to leave the villa in the first week. He also stated, 'I felt like I had a stronger bond with everyone in there, obviously I'd been there a bit longer,' maybe a bit of shade at those remaining...

As one was dumped, three more came in, and tensions are high as the Mirror writes. It is largely due to the television screen that the girls had to watch the boys before and after the arrival of the bombshells.

Now, though, the report states that fans feel Meg's game plan has been rumbled, and with her kicking off last night, it could be going pear-shaped. In fact, the Sun, today, has called her 'Mean Girl Meg', with fans even saying she is trying too hard to be 'iconic'.

Things are all a bit heated, and it is going to get even better, you'd imagine.

Who Is the Favourite to Win Love Island?

Picking a winner at this point is more than difficult, but slightly easier than last week. We have seen a little more of the individuals and couples, so you can get a grasp on certain ideas.

With individual markets the only option currently, we can only go off this, and given there are no really solid couples, it is almost impossible to predict.

For the male market, Tommy Bradley is still the favourite, but his odds have lowered from the 3/1 available last week. In fact, he is on the verge of hitting 2/1, with some bookmakers already offering this price.

It is no surprise, then, that his partner (if we can call her that yet) Megan Forte Clarke is currently the favourite to be the top female. Again, her odds have shortened from the price of 3/1, with 2/1 now the market norm.

They are certainly taking the hearts of fans so far, and despite it being early, they are in a really strong place.

After she rowed with new girl Malisha, Megan Moore's price is drifting a little, with her now nearly at 4/1. However, Dejon Noel Williams is being strengthened, it seems, with his odds actually shortening since Sunday night's episode.

Ben's Bet of Interest

It is VERY early stages, so I am a bit wary of putting forward a bet of interest, but if I had to pick a couple after the first week, it'd be Megan and Tommy. So, it is only right that we have a little look at their price together.

Despite 9/4 being available for both, and couples markets not yet open, you can actually combine their prices in a double to replicate the market at a much higher price than what it should be. So, with Coral and Ladbrokes both offering the double at 9.56/1, it would be my bet of interest for now.

I would not be rushing to place it myself, though. This is more a selection of interest, rather than a PLACE THIS NOW type bet.
