Media Watch - Love Island 2025

For those of you who were around for our I'm A Celebrity or Love Island All Stars odd watches and tips, welcome back to Media Watch! If you weren't with us for that, do not worry. This area does what it says on the tin; we take a look at some of the big stories of the past few days in one place to potentially help with any selections.

We start with the Daily Mail, who have suggested that Helena missed out on her 'dream man' Harry, with viewers left laughing at the ordeal. However, she has once again been challenged by the producers, with the new girl coupling up with him.

Yahoo News' columnist Ian Hyland writes that the day one twist was 'cruel and unnecessary', with Sophie Lee dumped from the island in episode two. It is not the first time a contestant has gone early doors, but it does feel a little bad.

The Sun writes that fans were left furious as the 'early favourite' was dumped from the show, with one fan even going as far as saying that they were 'heartbroken' by the departure of the star. After only two hours' worth of footage, maybe a little far!

To replace her, Toni Laites, a waitress from Las Vegas, partnered up with Ben. Already, her Instagram following has increased, but her odds are not out yet, where will she be around, though? Well, keep reading on!

Who Is the Favourite to Win Love Island?

Picking a winner at this point is more than difficult. We have seen less than two hours of the singletons, so we cannot really grasp who is serious about whom and whatnot.

With individual markets the only option currently, we can only go off this, and given there are no really solid couples, it is almost impossible to predict.

For the male market, Tommy Bradley is the favourite. At 4/1, he has shown to be popular amongst fans so far, and whilst his position in the market is not really standout, he has a bit of distance between the next favourite - Dejon, who is at 5/1.

Megan Forte Clarke is currently the favourite to be the top female, and this is not really too much of a shock. Already, some are deeming her the 'standout star' of the series, with her already captivating fans and showing some relatability to the audience.

It is no surprise, then, that the two favourites are coupled with one another, and we can only see them getting lower in price over the next few weeks, provided there are no massive fallouts. However, the early signs look good for the duo.

The new girl, Toni, has not been priced up yet, but with the market anywhere between 3/1 and 8/1, we would not be shocked to see her enter around the 5/1 market. She has the markings of a favourite, but there are definitely more popular choices.
