Across the board, the League Two table looks fantastic right now, in terms of entertainment value. Several teams are relegation candidates, and deciding who is not among the top teams is tough.
The title race in League Two has been phenomenal to watch, and it seems like this will be the case all season. It maybe should not be the case, but slip-ups have certainly helped one or two teams...
Sitting at the top, despite their slips, is Walsall, who lost their past two games before this weekend's 4-2 win away against Newport County. In a fantastic position, the Saddlers have had questions asked recently.
For that reason, the chance to go to relegation favourites Newport was a welcomed opportunity, and Matt Sadler's team made it count. It is their third game where they have scored three or more goals this season, and it is a good job too, considering they only sit top on goal difference, currently.
Below them is Ian Holloway's Swindon team, who have been in the conversation all season. Like the Saddlers, though, they have made their job more difficult than it has needed to be regularly.
A defeat and two draws in their last three games have prevented them from getting a lead at the top of the division. However, they remain at the forefront of the conversation.
This weekend, it was a win against Tranmere, and whilst it was narrow, three points are all that matter after a few shaky games. Considering they conceded an equaliser in the 88th minute too, the fact that Finley Munroe was able to wrap the game up is vital for their title hopes.
At this moment, the duo sit at the top of the league with a two-point gap. It is not the biggest lead, but it is certainly something.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 7 in the 2025/26 League Two season.

It feels like half of League Two are fans of High School Musical, because they're all in it together. A five-point gap from third-placed Notts County takes you down to 13th-placed Fleetwood, who are only seven points off the top spot.
At the moment, the final automatic promotion spot is taken by Notts County, who won on Monday night. A 2-1 win will not blow anyone away at this moment. However, the fact that they have four wins in five games may.
Salford sit below them, after a 0-0 draw at home to Cambridge. The U's have been a bit hit and miss recently, so it is a chance missed for Karl Robinson's side. Nevertheless, they are still in a very strong position.
MK Dons also slipped up again this weekend, after their loss to Bromley last matchday; more was expected from them. So the fact that they have been held to a draw by Barnet is certainly a frustrating one for them.
Adding to the list of slips is Grimsby, who also drew. Their form as of late has certainly been a bit concerning, given they have not won back-to-back games in League Two since the start of October...
Taking the final play-off spot for now is Gillingham, who ended their rotten form with a 1-0 win against Bristol Rovers, who at one point looked like a possible play-off contender. However, their chances have slipped massively recently.
Crewe and Bromley are both knocking on the door of the play-offs as it stands, with both winning their last two games. The former are more poised to make that push, given they are level on points with half of the play-off sides.
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2025/26 League Two season.

In our last update, things looked positive at the bottom, with most teams managing to get strong results. However, that was not the case here, with the bottom two both losing and a few others doing the same.
So, as it stands, Newport are at the bottom of League Two, after their 4-2 defeat against Walsall. There can be something taken from the fact that they scored twice. However, in their position, they cannot keep shipping goals.
Shrewsbury then sit above them, after a loss to Crewe away from home. As results go, it is not the worst ever, due to Alex's league position. However, it is not promising.
The bottom two needn't worry too much, considering how others around them look.
Cheltenham remain in massive trouble, despite their recent boost in form. With that said, they can take positives from their 2-1 defeat against Notts County, and if they can tweak a few errors, they will feel less nervous.
Who I'm really worried about, though, is Harrogate. Many people had the North Yorkshire outfit as their favourites to go down this season, and with five losses in League Two in a row, it is not looking promising.
Only a point away from safety, they are in real danger.
