There were some big results at the top end of League Two this weekend, whilst the bottom of the division saw a lot of poor results. In fact, things are already challenging for some, one in particular.
Just last week, I said Gillingham were making themselves known as the leader of League Two. Well, hindsight would be lovely, wouldn't it? This weekend's results don't have them in first or even in second.
Instead, the league is now topped by Walsall, who have been a common feature in that third favourite spot for the league title this season. It now means they have won four of their last five games, drawing the other.
Whilst it was not a massively 'important' win this weekend, they put three past Accrington away from home. So, in its own respect, it is an important result against a side that had only conceded eight before that game.
Below them in the table is Swindon, who have also remained in the title picture so far this season. However, there is a point difference between the two sides. Nevertheless, that can be closed quickly in this division.
Ian Holloway's side picked up three points against a Bromley side who started the season somewhat impressively. However, they have struggled in recent games.
Then, sitting in third, rounding off the teams with a 'gap' - even if it is only two points - is Gillingham. After a record-breaking result last weekend, they fell at the hands of Harrogate this weekend.
They will not be too disappointed given how they have started the season. However, losing at home to a side that have been tipped to struggle by many is not fantastic. Either way, it is not catastrophic.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 7 in the 2025/26 League Two season.
It's always great when a team scores a few goals, but when we see as many as seven, that deserves highlighting first. So, hello to Grimsby Town and hi to the expectedly sheepish Cheltenham.
Two red cards and eight goals, a bad day at the office doesn't even really come close for the league's struggling outfit, especially not when they took the lead. However, two second yellow card offences either side of half-time saw the downfall start.
In fact, 2-1 before half-time, it seemed like the game would be going one way. No one probably expected another five second-half goals.
David Artell's team getting a 7-1 win, then, has brought them back into a good spot in the Top SEVENNNN (when an opportunity presents itself and all) odds. I've always had my eyes on the Mariners, and the price of 4/5 is intriguing.
Swindon, as you'd expect, are the favourites below the title pack, but there is not much in it. In fact, between Walsall (third favourites), there is only a small difference: 8/15 and 8/13 for Swindon.
Below them, Salford City look a good price with Coral or Ladbrokes, sitting at Evens. Even though they lost this weekend, I am not worried about their position. More so because it was against an in-form Bristol Rovers side, and they had a penalty saved late on.
Finally, Gillingham round off the odds for a Top Seven spot, or at least the seven favourites. Though I think the price of 2/1 for Bristol Rovers is a very interesting one, I would be surprised to see that still available soon.
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2025/26 League Two season.

Last week, I said it was not a pretty sight at the bottom of League Two. That is more the case this week than last, somehow. None of the bottom six sides in the division won this week, resulting in a big gap opening.
It is very much a case of some and the rest.
Cheltenham, sorry, conceded SEVEN to Grimsby, which is a real issue and they are somehow not the favourites to be relegated from League Two this season. They have not won in their last three and have a -20 goal difference. That is woeful.
Having scored the fewest number of goals this season, something really needs to change soon.
Shrewsbury follow in 23rd, but their price has actually risen from 3/1 to 7/2 for relegation this season, likely due to Cheltenham's issues. Their loss to MK Dons certainly was not terrible and it will probably get better based on that result.
Sitting on the same points tally, albeit outside the bottom two, is Newport who have lost four of their last five games. A 4-1 defeat against Chesterfield is not promising at all, and it looks like it could get worse this weekend.
Crawley, Colchester and Accrington were all beaten again this weekend; however, they have a three-point buffer to the bottom two. So, they will not be too concerned at the moment. Things can change quickly, though.
