This weekend's League Two fixtures were filled with goals and this made for some interesting results. In fact, only one game ended without a goal scored; pretty good going from all involved.

Huge Results at the Top

There have been several changes in League Two this weekend, and there is now a bit of a gap emerging once again. Although it is not a big buffer, there is enough to provide a bit of safety, whilst others also get closer.

Walsall sit in the top spot after a third consecutive win. This weekend's came against Bristol Rovers, who have recently been on a bit of an upward trend. However, it ended at the hands of the Saddlers, who now are 11/2 to win the League Two.

It is a big win for Matt Sadler's team, who conceded only their ninth goal of the season this weekend, and whilst they are not the league's top scorers, they have gotten on the right side of one of the better sides in the division.

Following them are Swindon, who grabbed a nice result away at Newport. Ollie Palmer's 10th-minute goal ended up being the winner, as Ian Holloway's men made it four wins in their last five games.

Many will probably overlook this result, but County will try to be as difficult to beat at home as possible. So, nicking a 1-0 win is actually really good, and I think many others will fall when they head to Wales.

Below them is a three-point gap, and whilst that gap could certainly shorten, these two deserve the credit, at least for now.

Very, Very Close

Discussing two teams in the title section normally means that there is something wrong, or that there are too many teams that are nearby. That is the case here, partially, also because there is a slight gap.

Anyway, we start with Grimsby, who lead the pack fighting to reach the title battle, sitting four points away from the leaders. This weekend, they picked up a huge three points away to Salford, a result which could be defining. However, their price has taken a big knock as a result.

Gillingham also sit on 21, and having lost both of their last two games, the bookmakers are quickly losing faith in them after a marvellous unbeaten run. I don't think there is too much to worry about, though. Especially when you consider a 3-2 loss against big spenders, MK Dons, was this weekend's result.

So much so, actually, that I think the 13/8 price available could be a bit of a steal...

Crewe have gotten themselves back into the discussion in recent weeks, with two successive victories against Notts County and now Harrogate. An expected set of results, perhaps, but still strong ones. Sitting above Evens, again, looks an OK price.

Salford's odds have taken a big beating for the reverse, two defeats in two games; this weekend's against a fellow Top Seven contender is a bit problematic. However, again, this offers a decent chance for value at 11/8.

Finally, MK Dons, Cambridge and Chesterfield all sit on 18 points, though Cambridge are currently not one of the favourites for a spot in the play-offs. 11/8 looks like it could be a nice price.

Not Great

Before this weekend's games, Cheltenham sat at the bottom of the League Two table. However, they picked up three points impressively against Fleetwood at home, which is their second win of the season.

It means they have moved a bit in the relegation odds, but I still would not be too confident in their chances.

Newport now sit bottom, and again, I would not really be too confident betting on them at this point. In midweek, they grabbed a nice win against Cardiff City, who are the favourites to win the League One title, so that could revitalise them a bit.

That being said, their loss against Swindon was not brilliant, and whilst the picture is not great currently, perhaps they could move up a little bit soon.

Shrewsbury's woes halted a little bit, as they managed to pick up a draw in the league's only 0-0 this weekend. Not great, and it doesn't give much confidence, but it puts a halt to their losing streak...
