There is a bit of normality in the bottom tier of the EFL, with teams starting to work themselves out a little. In fact, it is one of only a few divisions so far where things are actually going as you'd expect.
For what it's worth, we have again based these sections on our predictions, as well as the odds. Of course, that means some teams will have more of a focus than others, but whilst it is early, we can only go off a little.
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to win the title in the 2025/26 League Two season.

The top of the league is looking really interesting thus far, and there are two teams to really take note of from the odds, though we will be discussing three here this week.
Right now, MK Dons and Chesterfield lead the odds for the League Two title, and they are showing why. However, Crewe Alexandra are the seventh favourites and are at 20/1. There is a massive disparity in the odds, that much is certain.
Starting with the favourites, MK Dons were again successful this weekend, beating Cheltenham 5-0 and proving that they are very much the threat for the season. Five different scorers on the sheet also proves the amount of quality within the team.
Whilst behind in the table, thanks to their opening day draw, they are still the favourites for the league, and they have shortened since last week's win. In other words, they are still a very strong bet for the bookmakers.
Following them in the odds is Chesterfield, who remain perfect so far. Three wins from three with a 3-1 win against Bristol Rovers, adding to their impressive start to the season. The Spireites have really taken off.
Then, the big shocks so far are Crewe, who are also perfect with nine points from nine so far! A 1-0 win against Crawley will not take the headlines, but picking up three points against a relegated side is a big positive.
An honest win, indeed, and one that has the odds moving a little.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 7 in the 2025/26 League Two season.
Swindon remain the third favourites for the League Two title, and like last weekend, I am not too inspired by their win against Oldham; they have scraped past a newly promoted side, and whilst it is points on the board, I am struggling to see how they are so highly rated...
Grimsby, then, sits the highest of anyone discussed so far outside of the title picture, and after returning to winning ways this weekend, it is understandable why. I am quite big on the Mariners this season and a nice price can still be got on them to get a Top Seven finish.
Salford and Walsall wrap up the Top Seven from an odds perspective, and both currently sit on six points after wins this weekend. The former beat Accrington at home by two goals to one, whilst the Saddlers nicked a 2-1 win against Barnet, who finished the game with 10 men.
Fleetwood, for what it's worth, are maybe going a little under the radar with the odds too. A draw against Bromley is not too inspiring, but they have looked solid thus far.
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2025/26 League Two season.

At the bottom, there were questions to ask, once again. However, the biggest issue/worry comes with Cheltenham, who look quite vulnerable after a dismantling by MK Dons at the weekend.
Losing 5-0 is never great, and whilst comfort can maybe be found in the opposition, it still does not give much hope for the year. They have conceded more goals than anyone in the division as a result, and it will be difficult to restart mentally after that defeat.
Crawley then take the other relegation spot at the moment, having lost all three of their opening games so far. Following their relegation from League One, it was expected that they would be a little better than a relegation fight. However, the hangover is looking quite bad so far.
Barnet and Bristol Rovers then take up the final spots of real worry, considering they also do not have any points yet. For Rovers, it is especially concerning, given that many saw them as a potential play-off contender, myself included.
For the bookies' favourites, Newport and Shrewsbury, the gap is growing a little. The relegation favourites, Newport, sit on four points, so they have around two weeks of safety for now from the relegation zone.
For Shrewsbury and Accrington, who are also well backed to go down, the gap is only a point. Things could very quickly change, put it that way...
