At the top of the division this weekend, there were several shock results, and it has meant that others in the league have been given an opportunity to catch up.
Below, we have collected the top teams and their respective odds to win the title in the 2025/26 League One season.
The odds are always changing in League One, and this weekend, it has been no different. Now there is a new favourite to win the title. So, we'll start there, at the top, at least in the bookmakers' eyes.
It is now Bolton Wanderers, who are favourites to win the league, and this weekend's results prove why this is the case. A 4-0 win against Port Vale is a lovely result, and whilst Vale are struggling, they are only conceding just more than a goal per game.
Putting four past Darren Moore's side, then, is only a positive, and Steven Schumacher's team are flying.
Cardiff then follow them in the odds, and the Bluebirds are interesting at 4/1. A second loss in a row this weekend means they are two points off the leaders, and whilst they have a game in hand, confidence is wavering.
Their start was phenomenal, but three losses in their last five is certainly a bit of cause for concern to some. Nevertheless, the price available is certainly solid enough.
Sitting top of the league, but third in the odds, is Stockport County. Had they taken their chance this weekend, it is probable that they would have remained favourites. However, a 3-0 defeat to Luton has made them vulnerable at the top, especially with no games in hand.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 6 in the 2025/26 League One season.
We relegated Bradford City to this section last weekend, and we're going to do the same again here, even if they sit second. Their League One form currently is abysmal, so it is understandable why many are questioning them.
After four draws in a row, they lost in the FA Cup last weekend, and then against Burton this weekend. Perhaps they have lost their spark a little bit, and they need to find it again soon...
Stevenage, perhaps, are in the best place of the top six, given that they have two games in hand. However, the fact that they have not won in three games is a reason to be worried about them as well.
A loss against a struggling Reading side was their latest evasion of three points, and whilst they are two points off the top, their recent form is certainly a bit worrying.
Sitting below them, Lincoln and Wimbledon both have 25 points, and there will be no shock to hear that they also lost this weekend. The Imps fell to a 3-0 beating at the hands of Rotherham, who have been in fine form recently.
Then, the dons were punished by a new look Peterborough side, losing by five goals to nil, in what was the standout fixture of the weekend. After that game, they now have the most goals conceded of anyone from 17th and upwards.
Luton Town and Huddersfield Town, both of whom were expected to fight for the title, have been disappointing so far this season. However, wins for both this weekend may push them on to start fighting towards the top.
On 22 points each, they are only six points away from Stockport County at the top of the league, and with them set to face each other in a rearranged fixture soon, its importance has only risen.
With only one team in the top eight winning, too, it was certainly a good week for the chasers!
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2025/26 League One season.

It was a weekend of change at the bottom, as some big wins were achieved.
Starting at the bottom, Plymouth Argyle had a rotten time of things in West Yorkshire, as they gifted Huddersfield their first in in four League One games. The Pilgrims are drastically underperforming, but at least they are top of their Vertu trophy group, right?
Port Vale then sit above them, with their form looking absolutely dismal at the moment. Darren Moore's side have lost three games on the bounce, and after a battering from Bolton, faith is not there for them to recover quickly.
Peterborough are the story of this weekend, though. Luke Williams' return to management has certainly been positive. A win in the FA Cup against Cardiff last weekend and now three points and five points against Wimbledon, they may not be as dead and buried as it has seemed previously.
Blackpool take the final spot in the bottom three, but they again won this weekend, getting three points against Cardiff. With seven points in their last three League One games, Ian Evatt may be onto something good on the seaside.
Looking above the bottom four, Leyton Orient and Exeter are certainly not in strong positions, and are only two points away from entering the drop zone.
On a brighter note, wins for Burton and Wigan Athletic have certainly increased hope for both, and they have a bit of a buffer from the drop zone.
