Join us for the belated 2025 BettingLounge Awards: Best sites, best new sites, best sites for withdrawals, best sites for deposits, biggest improvements, and more.

Best Site Overall

Best overall sites 2025

Picking the best betting site of 2025 is by no means an easy task, especially since the matter is quite subjective, but we have opted for an overall approach to single out three of them. In other words, it's not enough to do one thing really well; you need to get everything right and then some.

As a concrete example, having fast withdrawals doesn't matter as much if the minimum withdrawal is really high, just as having low betting margins doesn't matter as much if the market depth is really poor. These are the things we have tried to keep in mind when choosing the bookies below.

🥇 Bet365

This is a bookie that just gets it! We believe that bet365 delivers on every single front: the usability is fantastic (mainly thanks to the app), there is often great value in terms of the margins and promotions, market depth is among the best, and the deposit/withdrawal processes are really smooth.

Seeing just how big bet365 is, it wouldn't have been surprising to see the bookie do the bare minimum and just rely on that strong brand. That wasn't the case at all during 2025, though, as new innovations were launched and the promotions were upheld.

🥈 Tote

We don't want to say that it's a rogue pick, but we can understand if anyone is a little bit surprised to see the bookie here. Albeit known for the Tote markets, the partnership with Amelco (sportsbook provider) has allowed the bookie to become an all-in-one option, which is so important these days.

The withdrawal times have been consistently strong, the app is nice to use and you can actually find some value - especially if you are a horse racing fan. Again, like bet365, it would have been easy just to rely on the brand but instead Tote has improved.

🥉 Paddy Power

As the flagship of the Flutter empire (yes, we rank it higher than Sky Bet!), Paddy Power did a really good job in 2025 of reeling in new punters with fun markets, promotions and more. Of course, that's the type of luxuries you can focus on when the foundation is absolutely brilliant.

With a great range of payment methods, fast withdrawals, and one of the best apps we have used, it's hard to go wrong if you decide to sign up. It was also quite funny (and beneficial for punters) to see Paddy Power paying out Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership after just two games!

Best New Site

Best new betting sites 2025

If picking the best is hard, then picking the new is actually easier. The obvious explanation for that is that many of the new sites that launch struggle on many fronts, from non-existent customer support to poor payment terms and so on. Subsequently, a new site that does things well usually catches our attention.

As new sites can never match the best, like Bet365 and Sky Bet mentioned above, the important thing is to get the basics right while having an edge of some sort. That could be a low minimum deposit, a really solid sportsbook, a nice user experience and so on. We think the ones below have at least one edge.

🥇 BetTom

BetTom took the betting world by storm with their launch in May 2025, getting off to a really good start thanks to the EveryMatrix partnership. We actually appreciate the fact that there were no flashy offers either. Clearly, the bookie focused on a solid foundation to attract punters.

The first-ever withdrawal test that we did with the bookie also took just a few minutes, while the average betting margins came in at 5.29%. Of course, as with any new bookie, there were and are things to fine-tune, but first place is more than justified here.

🥈 BestOdds

If you have read any of our reviews or pages before, you will have perhaps picked up that we are massive fans of the Playbook Gaming platform. As such, we were very excited to hear about BestOdds' launch with the platform at the end of 2025. The excitement was warranted, as it turned out.

We were immediately struck by how put-together the site looked, not just because of the platform but also the logo, colour scheme and so on. The decent sportsbook, along with the £5 minimum deposit and the quick withdrawals (50 minutes for us), completed the whole package for us.

🥉 36Vegas

Wrapping up the best new top three is 36Vegas, which just like BetTom launched with the EveryMatrix platform, albeit a little later. As you can tell by the name, the site focuses on both sports betting and casino, which has also been confirmed by the welcome offers for both sections.

We like the dark theme of the site, along with the navigation, and the sportsbook has a decent amount of markets available. Our withdrawal test of the bookie was also instant, which is a plus, and the £5 also pulls you in. It will be very interesting to follow the site in 2026.

Best for Fast Withdrawals

Fastest withdrawals 2025

The most straightforward category of them all! As we test every single bookie ourselves, often more than once and with different methods, we have a very reliable dataset on this front. No more relying on the FAQs of the betting site; we have the actual answers.

When picking the three winners below, one thing that we have prioritised is consistency over multiple tests. That means that all three sites have provided instant withdrawals more than once, and sometimes with different methods as well.

🥇 Midnite

In 2025, we tested Midnite on three occasions and got our money instantly every time: first with Visa, then with Google Pay, and finally with Trustly. The amount withdrawn was £5 except for Google Pay, as we withdrew £10 with that method.

We had several instant withdrawals in 2025, it should be noted, but Midnite is one of just two bookies that had the same speedy result (i.e. instant) across 3+ tests. While we also like Midnite overall, enough to warrant a first-place mention, it's here because of the withdrawal data alone.

🥈 10bet

Some of you might be surprised to see 10bet here, as it's perhaps not one of the biggest brands around, but we actually tested it six times (!) in 2025. The results were instant with Trustly, Neteller and Paysafecard, while it took a little longer with Visa (4 minutes, then 37 minutes) and Skrill (2 minutes).

🥉 Unibet

We didn't test Unibet as much as the other two bookies mentioned, but we still managed to get an instant result twice with Apple Pay. Although not in 2025, our latest test with Visa was also instant, which suggests the 2025 results were not flukes.

Best for Deposits

Best for deposits 2025

This can be somewhat subjective, given we all have different preferences payment method-wise, but we have mainly focused on the minimum deposit here. We aren't oblivious to the fact that some punters prefer many methods, though, so that has also been factored in.

The above is why some of the sites that accept £1 deposits aren't actually present in the top three; i.e. the whole list is not just three £1 bookies. That would have been a strange way of doing things as those sites usually don't offer many methods.

🥇 AK Bets

It's absolutely a given to name AK Bets as the best site here. Not only does the bookie offer £1 deposits, but that amount is also available across multiple methods: Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Instant Bank Transfer. The actual process of depositing is also very smooth.

It makes it even more impressive when you consider that many of the previous £1 bookies have reverted to the standard £5 amount. In other words, AK Bets still offers the best for the punters, which can also be seen with the sportsbook as a whole (margins, navigation, market depth etc).

🥈 BoyleSports

Unlike AK Bets, Boylesports doesn't offer the £1 minimum amount and instead has a limit of £5. So why is it second here? Well, the minimum amount is still nice and low, while the bookie also allows you to deposit with many methods: debit cards, Apple and Google Pay, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, and Paysafecard.

🥉 Coral

Coral is one of the best bookies in the UK, that's for sure, and it's reflected when making a deposit on the site too. The minimum deposit is low at £5 and you can choose between debit cards, PayPal, Apple and Google Pay, Paysafecard, and Instant Banking. The welcome offer also works with a £5 deposit.

Best for Betting Margins

Best betting margins 2025

Coming in second on the straightforward list, after best sites for withdrawals, is the best margins category. We always test the betting margins of the bookies during our review in order to determine the value, so once again we have a very good dataset here.

Betting margins can vary drastically though, so even though we are happy with our average calculations, it's perhaps not as reliable as the withdrawals. Nevertheless, there are three clear winners in this category as you shall see with the percentages.

🥇 SBK

SBK has been the king of betting margins for quite some time, so it's perhaps not a surprise to see it topping this category. Our tests of the bookie have always been very good and the ones we did in 2025 all ended up around the 3.3% mark, which was the last official average we gave it.

Another thing that many tend to overlook when it comes to SBK is that the bookie isn't just about betting margins. Sure, we imagine most have signed up there for the value, but there are other things to like too: the selection of payment methods, the smooth app, and the withdrawal times are just a few.

🥈 BetGoodwin

BetGoodwin might not be the first bookie that you think about on the betting margins front, but much to our delight, the bookie got a very low score in our tests during 2025 (4.79%). It's possible that we just got lucky (or rather BetGoodwin) with the markets we tested, but a result is a result nevertheless.

🥉 AK Bets

AK Bets deserves a lot of praise here. While the standard markets are often around the usual average (i.e. 6%), the average becomes very low if you combine it with the "AK's Big Prices" markets: 4.89%. While we would like to see all standard markets be this low, it still warrants a third spot here.

Best for Promotions

Best sites for promotions 2025

Everyone loves promotions! Not but seriously, who doesn't love promotions? They can make or break your betting day (thank you early payout!) and it's something many betting sites have realised in the last year or so. To retain your customers, you simply need to offer value.

While many sites have improved a lot on this front, the boring answer is that the heavyhitters remain on top. It's not exactly strange either as they have often pioneered the promotions in question, which are then adopted by smaller and less competitive sites.

🥇 Bet365

Seeing as Bet365 was the pioneer of the new very popular sub on play on, we had no choice but to name it the best site here. It's a promotion that has taken the betting world by storm, allowing punters to think in different ways before, and that's very cool in our opinion.

On top of that, Bet365 hasn't discontinued any of its other major promotions, which is something that many other bookies cannot say. In fact, we often see the early payout (for example) being introduced on sites, only to be removed a short while after.

🥈 Paddy Power

Paddy Power is similar Bet365 in many ways, above all since both have offered very good promotions for a long time. Another thing we also like about the bookie is that you can often find special markets priced up, which we would also classify as promotions.

🥉 Coral

Albeit not as strong as the other ones, Coral has always had a good offering of promotions, Rewards Shaker being one as well as the Super Series games. We shall see how the bookie will approach its anniversary this year, but we would imagine that the foundation will remain good still.

Best for Customer Support

Best Customer support 2025

Ever had your account suspended for seemingly no logical reason? If yes, then welcome to the club. Registering with the wrong details (a result of typos) has got us on a few occasions and it can be very frustrating in the moment.

However, whenever we have had such issues or any other complaints for that matter, the customer support has been put to the test. If the customer support is good, these things can usually be cleared up in just a few minutes, while a poor support team only fuels the frustration.

🥇 Tote

Tote gets #1 mainly thanks to the good encounters we have had with the bookie. Of course, with such an extensive history in the game and reputation to uphold, the fact that customer support is taken care of perhaps isn't that strange.

In addition to live chat (24/7) and email contact, you can also reach out over the phone, which is really good if you are dealing with a tricky issue. At least in our tests, we got quick responses in the live chat and the staff was also very helpful.

🥈 AK Bets

As a smaller brand, at least in comparison to some of the major ones in the UK, AK Bets benefits a lot from having a small and dedicated team. Not only is there a 24/7 live chat, but you can also access a trader's chat to get certain markets priced up. The presence on social media is also really good, especially on X.

🥉 William Hill

Like Tote, William Hill is one you would expect to have a very good customer support, and it does! It's a little bit difficult to find all of the contact options, in fact we were constantly redirected to the messaging service, but that works really well. Indeed, the market we requested was priced up within minutes.

Biggest Improvements

Biggest improvements 2025

Having reviewed and tested so many sites in our days, it's very easy for us to see when a bookie has levelled up through a platform upgrade, adding more markets, or anything else along those lines. Especially since we have always tested the bookies before said improvements.

2025 was a year filled with improvements, so while we have named the three best as with the other categories, we have also included a few honourable mentions. These made important changes but not quite big enough to make the top three.

🥇 BetGoodwin

At least to us, the first pick is pretty obvious here as BetGoodwin migrated from the FSB Tech platform to EveryMatrix, following the latter's takeover of the former. Immediately, you could see there were massive improvements from site navigation to market depth and casino offering.

Not that much has changed on the deposit front, so that's something for the bookie to improve still, but withdrawals are now consistently quick and there have been more promotions too. Without a doubt, this was the right move for BetGoodwin to become even more mainstream (in a good way).

🥈 Fairplay Bet

Fairplay Bet took a leap of faith in 2025, expanding its operations from just being a social betting platform to offering traditional betting markets as well. There were some hurdles at the start, but then horse racing was added and the overall navigation was improved. Definitely one to check out if you haven't.

🥉BoyleSports

While you could argue that BoyleSports merely underwent a facelift of sorts, changing the logos and updating the colour scheme, we think the modernisation of the site did a lot of good. It was a very good product before too, but now it's presented in a way that makes more sense to punters.

👀 Honourable Mentions

We couldn't quite contain ourselves to three for this category, as we also want to highlight the platform switches of Fitzdares (from FSB to Amelco), The Pools (to GIG), and Highbet (from Aspire Global to BetConstruct). All good upgrades that, as the headline says, deserve a mention.
