Jorge Jesus - 11/10

The current favourite to take over is Jorge Jesus, priced at 11/10. The current manager of Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, Jesus was voted one of the best managers in club football in 2017. He has honours with Sporting Lisbon, Benfica and Braga under his belt. He has also won the 'best coach award' for his time at Brazilian side Flamengo.

Carlo Ancelotti - 2/1

Carlo Ancelotti is another one of the high-profile names on the list, with the Italian priced at 2/1 to take over. The most successful manager in Champions League history, Ancelotti most recently led his Real Madrid side to a season of domestic dominance last term, with Los Blancos winning both the La Liga title and the Champions League.

Whether the Brazil job would be enough to tempt him into international management is another issue however. Ancelotti had initially turned down the approach of the Brazilians as they tried to hire him before turning to Dorival Junior.

Guardiola is rated as one of the greatest managers in world football, and is known for his tactical nous, his 'tiki-taka' style and intricate knowledge of the beautiful game. Next Brazil Manager FAQs

Dorival Junior, Brazil manager since January 2024, was sacked after his side lost 4-1 to rivals Argentina. His side has lost 5 of 16 games in qualifying, and despite this most recent loss stay well on course to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Brazil next face Ecuador on June 4th, and it is unclear as to whether they expect the new manager to be in charge for that game, or if the Brazilian Football Association will be keen to hold off until the end of the European domestic season to give themselves the best chance of getting their man.
