Despite qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Carabao Cup, Alexander Isak seems determined to take the next step in his career and leave Newcastle United. However, it is proving to be difficult.
The latest transfer betting odds for Alexander Isak's next club are listed below. Odds stated were correct at the time of writing.

The Isak saga has dominated headlines throughout this summer, as you would expect. After the season Newcastle have had, it is a bit of a shock that he is now ready to leave, especially with a replacement not lined up.
Having missed out on Benjamin Sesko, the striker market looks a little weak. However, this may not matter as Isak is now 'adamant' that he will never play for the club again, as The Athletic reports on Tuesday morning.
Will a move actually happen, or could he remain? Let's look at the odds.
With today's reports, it makes complete sense why his odds are quickly shortening. In fact, the odds on Bet365 closed around 8/11 yesterday, so the fact that they are, at the time of writing, at 2/5 is quite significant.
Liverpool have already submitted a bid, and after losing the Community Shield this weekend, it would not be a shock to see them make another effort for the Swede. Of course, this would imaginably have a knock-on effect for the golden boot.
There has not been any movement since the report this morning, but presumably work could be done before the Premier League season kicks off this weekend.

Now, here is the interesting part. Whilst the striker is clearly wanting out, he will only leave once a satisfactory bid arrives, and a player can remain at the club, despite not playing. It is possible, even if it is unwise.
So, with the fee that Newcastle United are asking for, it makes complete sense why the odds are so low for him to remain in the North East. There may be a desire to end this chapter. However, it is not so simple.
As a result, the odds at 9/5 are not awful, but I would be steering clear, though.

It is nothing new for the bookies to offer us Any 'Nation Team' odds. However, this feels slightly ridiculous. William Hill are offering 25/1 for the striker to move to Saudi Arabia, whilst BetVictor are offering 25/1 for an Italian team.
Given the price and the Saudi links to Newcastle, it is understandable why the odds are there for this move. However, it should be a slightly higher price in my opinion.
Then, with a move to Italy, it definitely should be higher. No Italian club has the funds to pay the money that is being discussed for Isak. He will not even be considered for that reason. I'm shocked that this is 25/1 and not a few times more of a price.

You can certainly take faults with different clubs, also listed at different prices.
Bayern Munich probably do not have the money to be spending so heavily on the Swede this summer after purchasing Luis Diaz. At 33/1, I'd avoid.
PSG are not considering a move for him either, which is a little confusing in fairness. At 33/1, I'd be a lot more interested if there were suggestions of them looking at a striker. However, the odds would also be shorter.
A move to Real Madrid or Barcelona is the next step, I believe, if he does not go to Liverpool this summer. However, neither looks likely to make a move this summer. Again, I'd avoid.

Looking at this market is a little difficult. With a transfer saga this big, the bookmakers have an opportunity to add to the hype. However, the prices just don't seem too reasonable at the moment.
For me, there are two options for Isak: to stay at Newcastle or head to Liverpool. Neither market is priced that attractively, all things considered. I think there is certainly better value out there than a 2/5 risk or a 9/5 risk.
Perhaps consider looking at our weekend football tips or even our Premier League preview.
