32 of the best players in the world descend on Leicester for the 2025 Boyle Sports World Grand Prix, all vying to win the £120,000 top prize.
Rob Cross has notoriously struggled at the World Grand Prix, losing in the opening round in five of the eight times he's appeared here.
Voltage did have a run to the quarter-final last year, but after a relatively inconsistent season for his standards, he won't be feeling too confident about tonight.
Wessel Nijman makes his debut this evening in the Grand Prix and has had another fabulous season, highlighted by winning PC30 a week ago.
The young Dutchman is closing in on a place in the world's top 32, and a win here would go a long way to securing that.

Chris Dobey boasts a good record at the World Grand Prix, reaching at least the quarter-final on 3 out of 5 appearances.
He lost in the first round last year to Joe Cullen 2-1, but played well, and it looks like he's starting to find his form at just the right time of the season.
Cameron Menzies failed to win a leg on debut in 2024, losing in straight sets to Dave Chisnall. Historically, players tend to struggle on stages with bad memories, and I can see the Scot being rolled over with ease tonight.

Danny Noppert has played some good stuff over the last few months, especially on the European Tour.
The Dutchman has struggled with consistency over the past few years, and he doesn't hold a great record at this tournament either, having failed to advance past round two in 6 of his 7 appearances.
Jermaine Wattimena returns to the World Grand Prix for the first time since 2020. The Dutchman has been in fantastic form over the last 18 months and can cause Noppert plenty of problems.

World number one, Luke Humphries, returns to Leicester after losing in the final last year, 6-4 to Mike De Decker. Cool Hand has had another solid season, but faces a tough night at the office against fellow Premier League star Nathan Aspinall.
The Asp continues to be there or thereabouts in tournaments, and his consistency has been a big factor during his return to form this season.
He was extremely impressive last year in the opening round, averaging 92.92 in a 2-1 win over Ryan Searle. If Aspinall plays like that again tonight, it could turn into the match of the evening.

Fourth seed Stephen Bunting comes into this year's World Grand Prix searching for his 7th ranking tournament win of the year. The Bullet has been in tremendous form all season, and this format should suit if he's on song.
Niko Springer makes his well-deserved debut at the Grand Prix after a fantastic breakthrough season for the young German.
Springer had a run to the final of ET7 at the Dutch Darts Masters, and followed that up with his first senior PDC title, winning ET12 at the Hungarian Darts Trophy.
The format will play a big part here, and because Bunting has been so ultra-consistent this season, I think he will get on top of the German debutant early and inflict a difficult evening on the youngster.
