48 of the best players in the world descend on Basel for the 2025 Swiss Darts Trophy, all vying to win the £30,000 top prize.
Both players produced magnificent performances yesterday to get through to day 3, but Luke Woodhouse was particularly impressive. Woody averaged 110.69 during his 6-2 victory over Dave Chisnall, whilst the Dutchman dispatched the in-form Josh Rock, 6-1, with a 107.35 average.
Those performances will give both players a huge boost going into this afternoon's session, but the value for me is a Woodhouse win, especially after producing a personal best average on the European Tour in the second round.

Jonny Clayton overcame a tough draw in the second round, beating Nathan Aspinall 6-4 with a 105.33 average. Martin Schindler defeated fellow German Ricardo Pietreczko 6-2 yesterday, but will need to step it up to get close to the Welshman today.
Clayton produced six 180s during his victory yesterday, whilst Schindler had two, but the German is usually a bigger scorer than that, so over 5.5 180s looks nice value here.

Raymond van Barneveld rolled back the years in the second round, as he defeated Damon Heta 6-5 with a 98.79 average. Barney looked confident and composed, something he's been lacking on the big stage lately.
Ritchie Edhouse scraped past Wessel Nijman in round one 6-5 but was handed a bye into the third round after Ross Smith withdrew because of family reasons. This could affect the Englishman's rhythm after having a day off, and I think Barney can take full advantage of that today and get through to the quarter-final.

Rob Cross is starting to pick up his form, but runs into the rapidly improving Danny Noppert today, and the fact that the Dutchman is the outsider here surprises me. Noppert had a fabulous run to the final last week in Budapest, losing out in a last-leg decider 8-7 to Niko Springer.
Noppert averaged 104.55 and hit six 180s during a 6-5 victory over William O'Connor in round two, and for me, he looks to be approaching a purple patch of form and can get past Cross today.
