The 2025 Premier League Darts moves onto the First Direct Arena in Leeds for Night 14. Luke Humphries will headline tonight's action in front of his home crowd, and a good performance tonight will secure his playoff place with two weeks of action to spare.
Leeds United secured their Premier League return as Champions over the weekend, and I expect the arena to be rocking for Cool Hand's arrival tonight.
Luke Littler wrote his name into the history books once again last week in Birmingham, becoming the first player to win five nights in a single campaign since the introduction of the current format in 2022.
Rob Cross is still looking for his first nightly final this year, and his current form makes it look unlikely that it will change anytime soon. He's one of two players not to have won a night during this campaign, which has left him sixth in the Premier League table, 6 points adrift from the playoff places.
Voltage lost his opening match in Birmingham last week, 6-4 against Michael van Gerwen, and followed that up with last 16 defeat to Gary Anderson at European Tour 6. Wins have been extremely hard to come by for Cross, and he's won just 5 of his last 14 matches in all competitions.
Gerwyn Price continues to baffle me with his inconsistency, but after three nightly wins this season, he comes to Leeds third in the Premier League table, three points ahead of Aspinall in 5th. On paper, that looks like a fabulous season, but if you look closely, he's been very up and down with his performances.
The Welshman averaged just 80.64 in his semi-final defeat to MVG last week after beating Luke Humphries 6-5 with a 99.43 average. That inconsistency has caused him problems, and if he hadn't managed to win three nights during this campaign, he'd be in trouble. He has won those, though, and if he takes the positives, he remains a dark horse to win this tournament.
Price needs to keep the pressure on the players below him in the race for the playoffs and will need to concentrate here; if he does, he should take advantage of the misfiring Englishman.

Nathan Aspinall has continued to play well over the last few months, but lately he's struggled to pick up wins. He's won just two of his last seven matches on tour, including back-to-back early exits in Euro Tour 5 and 6 over the last two weeks.
He's been unlucky, though, and last week was a prime example of that when he pushed Luke Littler all the way, losing 6-5 in the semi-final in Birmingham.
The Asp still has a huge chance of making the Playoffs in London, and sits just a point behind MVG in fourth. He couldn't have had a harder draw tonight, though, and he'll have to be completely on his game to find any points in Leeds tonight.
Luke Littler became the first player to win five nightly titles in a single campaign last week after beating MVG in the final 6-4. The pressure seemingly fell from his shoulders when he hit the winning double after searching for the 5th win since Night 9.
The Nuke is already assured of a playoff place and can take a step closer to winning the league phase with a victory tonight.
These two battled out an 11-leg thriller in Birmingham last week, but Littler leads the head-to-head 12-1, and only 5 of their 13 matches have gone over 9.5 legs.
After the Nuke finally claimed the nightly win he was searching for last week, I think he may be in a bullish mood tonight.

Michael van Gerwen is holding onto fourth spot in the Premier League table and will be desperate for results over the next few weeks to consolidate his playoff position.
His results and performances have vastly improved over the last 4 weeks, and after a run to the final last week in Birmingham, he comes to Leeds full of confidence.
Luke Humphries beat MVG in last year's final in Leeds, and he'll be hoping for more of the same tonight during his homecoming.
The World Number 1 will guarantee his playoff place with a nightly win here, and after a 107.46 average last week in Birmingham, albeit in defeat, he will still be confident tonight.
Humphries is 15-14 up in head-to-heads against the Dutchman, and he's remarkably won 10 of their last 12 meetings.
Six of their last seven matches in the league phase have gone over 9.5 legs, and the way these two are playing, I expect it to be close again tonight.

Stephen Bunting is going through another tough run at the moment and has lost his last five matches in all competitions, including back-to-back early defeats in both European Tours over the last two weekends.
The Bullet lost a tight match 6-5 against Luke Littler in Birmingham and still has a faint chance of a playoff place, but will need to be perfect over the next three weeks.
Chris Dobey is becoming increasingly frustrating to watch because he has no B game right now; he's either brilliant or very poor, and he'll be eager to change that soon.
His talent is clear to see, though, and even after a poor performance in Birmingham, where he averaged just 87.43, he still has a chance of the playoffs.
For me, Dobey looks the more likely at the moment, and I don't think he's far away from finding his A game again.
He also has the best chance of the two to make a late run for the playoffs, and I think he'll have enough to get past the Liverpudlian whom he has a 12-4 winning head-to-head against.
