He mentioned struggling with a slight finger twitch, the same issue he dealt with at Ally Pally, so he’ll need to put that out of his mind tonight if he’s going to overcome the Welshman.
Gerwyn Price booked his fifth Grand Slam quarter-final appearance with a 10-6 victory over Martin Schindler. He stormed into a 5-1 lead but then squandered several chances on the doubles, a spell in which he could easily have been 8-2 ahead.
Still, the Iceman dug deep and produced a brilliant final burst, taking the last three legs to seal the win in style.
Whenever Ricky Evans is involved, the match is usually full of entertainment, but if he doesn’t settle quickly, Price could run away with it.
The Welshman thrives at this event, and provided he maintains the level he showed for most of his last-16 clash, he should have the edge in this matchup.
