With the plethora of options available to UK punters, it is no surprise that MogoBet has gone quite under the radar since 2017. There are other sites which have launched after that have become more popular, though, so there is clearly something else behind this lack of growth as well.

In my opinion, it all has to do with the cons of the site. Indeed, it definitely does not rank as one of the best UK betting sites as there are many negatives, such as a fee for withdrawals, a lack of streaming and the absence of an iOS app. The fee for withdrawals certainly takes away from the good range of methods.

To MogoBet's credit, the market depth of the sportsbook is pretty good and there are many sports as well. The welcome offer is also not completely useless despite the 1x wagering requirements. Then again, there are more cons than pros unfortunately.

Is MogoBet Legit and Safe?

Put simply, yes, MogoBet is safe. The site holds the relevant licensing from the UK Gambling Commission as it is operated by ProgressPlay Limited under account number 39335. ProgressPlay operates a bunch of different sites in the UK, such as Monster Casino, and this means MogoBet has several sister sites.

Previous (and current) users of MogoBet have rated it at 2.7/5 through reviews on Trustpilot, which is not great, especially considering that the large majority of reviews have the site rated at 1 star. Customers have complained heavily about the interface and bonuses, so this is something to be aware of before signing up.

Almost all UK bookmakers have bad reviews on Trustpilot, which is not surprising given the industry they operate in. However, it is still worth reading some of these reviews if you are unsure about a particular bookmaker. Just keep in mind that people are more likely to leave negative reviews than positive ones, so take them with a grain of salt.

MogoBet Welcome Offers

There are two welcome offers available to customers who sign up to MogoBet. One targets sports punters, while the other focuses on casino players. With both offers though, there is a somewhat poor feeling attached.

Starting with the probably more popular sports offer, customers can get £30 of bets after placing £10 of bets across any sports. This can be done via a £10 single, or multiple bets adding up to £10, which is quite nice.

Any winnings from your £30 free bet must be wagered once unfortunately, which is certainly a frustration. Most of the sports offers do not have wagering requirements these days, so even just 1x makes a big difference.

It is nothing compared to the casino offer though. Customers can get £200 and 20 free spins after signing up, but any winnings have to be wagered 50 times before they can be withdrawn. This is frankly ridiculous.

MogoBet Existing Customer Promotions

Any good bookmaker will also offer promotions for existing customers, and MogoBet does this, but the extent of them is certainly not worth shouting from the rooftops about, that much is for sure.

MogoBet Promo 1

On Mondays, the site offers a 'Free Bet Monday' promotion, where customers can earn a £20 free bet for staking £50 on a Monday. It is certainly an intriguing offer, and once again, any winnings must be wagered once after. Again, another frustrating backhand to the promotion.

Across several sports, MogoBet also offers cashback promotions of up to £50 when your bet of up to £500 loses. If this didn't have the caveat of being solely for losses, then it would be a nice offer, but it isn't a fantastic offer on the face of it.

MogoBet Deposit Methods

MogoBet accepts quite a lot of different payment methods and that is very nice to see, especially since new bookmakers in the UK often struggle on this front. E-wallets such as Neteller are available and the increasingly popular Apple Pay can be used as well. Unfortunately, the minimum deposit has been set at £5 at MogoBet.

How to Deposit on MogoBet

New customers can follow our step-by-step guide for depositing on MogoBet in the UK below:

  • 1

    Head Over to the Cashier

Once you have signed in, entering the deposit cashier is very simple because of the 'Cashier' area shown in the bottom menu of the site.

    MogoBet Casino
  • 2

    Select Your Preferred Deposit Method

After tapping that, you will be taken to the deposit area. After answering a pop-up about your finances, you will be asked to provide some financial information to ensure your spending is reasonable.

  • 3

    Select Your Preferred Deposit Method

Following this, you will be shown some deposit methods. As always, we chose to deposit with a Visa debit card in our test since this normally ensures quicker transactions. Then, enter your deposit information.

Enter the Deposit Amount and Deposit

Finally, enter your deposit amount and tap the 'Deposit' option! Good luck!

MogoBet Withdrawal Methods

The list of methods is the same for withdrawals as deposits, and that can also be said for the minimum amount, but there is one added downside. Indeed, punters are charged a 1% fee of up to £3 on each withdrawal. This means that if you withdraw £10, you will actually only get £9.90 which feels very cheap from MogoBet.

How to Withdraw From MogoBet

You can follow our step-by-step guide for the withdrawal process at MogoBet below if you have previously not used the site or need some assistance:

  • 1

Head Over to the MogoBet cashier

Unfortunately, the withdrawal cashier is not as easily accessible. The cashier is only for deposits so to head to the opposite area, you must tap the Menu option, enter the cashier menu, and tap 'Withdrawals'.

    MogoBet Withdraw 1
  • 2

    Ensure Payment Method is Correct

The payment method shown will be the same method last used when depositing, so this is something to be wary of. However, only cards could be added here, so it seems that other methods cannot be used to withdraw.

  • 3

    Enter Your Withdrawal Amount

After ensuring your payment method is correct, you must now enter your withdrawal amount, which must be more than the minimum of £10.

    MogoBet Withdraw 2
  • 4

Click ‘Withdraw’ to Complete the Request

Finally, tap the orange 'Withdrawal' option at the bottom of the screen, and your money will be on the way! In our test, it took less than 90 minutes for the money to reach our account which is a huge positive, a rare one at that. Indeed, it is one of the fastest results we have had.

How to Verify an Account at MogoBet

Automatic verification is very common in the United Kingdom, and where possible, MogoBet will attempt to verify your account in the sign-up process. Sometimes you will be required to upload further proof of identity though.

A phone number may need to be verified and this can be done with a recent phone bill. E-wallet verification needs to be a screenshot of the account name and address.

For identification, photo ID, Driving Licences or Passports are all eligible. For an address, Utility Bills (Except for a phone bill), Council Tax Bills or a Bank Statement (Normal bank) can all be used to verify your location. Verification can be done online, via the Cashier tab, then click 'Verify ID'.

MogoBet Sportsbook Review

MogoBet certainly has the marks to be a decent bookmaker in the game, but there is a substantial amount of time required for it to get there, which is surprising given its founding in 2017.

It seems like the site is still in the baby stages, as until recently it lacked apps for iOS and Android, which is a huge thing for punters. The fact that an app was lacking shows where the site really is (and there is still no iOS version).

There is a nice range of markets, and there are a lot of sports available for customers. However, there are definitely some markets missing, such as goalscorers, bet builders and more, but we shall get into that later.

MogoBet Casino

Appearance and Navigation

We are often not fans of sites that try too much to overcomplicate things, but there is a very fine line between being too simplistic and the right level of simplistic. Unfortunately, MogoBet falls quite short of that line.

The site does feel quite basic, and when loading onto the site for a welcome offer, this is immediately obvious. Promotion graphics look quite blurred, and this is the same for promotions offered on the main homepage of the site.

MogoBet Sports/Promo 1

Graphics look quite AI-generated and stocky, which is a really big frustration, even if it is just something basic. It has a big effect.

Getting around the site is easy enough, but accessing certain markets feels quite elongated at times. For example, to find League One odds, customers must navigate through a few drop menus, which can be frustrating, especially when other bookmakers have fixtures laid out more easily.

Horse racing is also only available under the 'Future Horse Racing' tab, which is technically right, but offers ante-post bets, rather than races happening on that day. It's quite novice-like in honesty, and that takes away from the site understandably.

Betting Markets

One of the big upsides to MogoBet is the number of markets available to customers. As we will get into, there is a nice range of sports available for in-play bets, which is a positive. In terms of markets themselves, there are more than 40 sports on offer.

The big sports are all available, so customers can browse Premier League football fixtures, or big horse racing fixtures, whilst also being able to punt on Nepalese football or international racing events, so the range is impressive.

MogoBet Sports List

Customers will also be glad to see that e-sports, politics, TV and film, and politics can be bet on, which is often not the case on smaller operators in the game, so credit to MogoBet here.

Live Betting and Streaming

One big thing for customers is the ability to bet on in-play sports and MogoBet has a good range of those markets available. The selections themselves are quite basic though. Instead of being able to bet on next player to score, only things like next goal, total goals, and results can be bet on.

MogoBet Streaming

In terms of streaming, any potential or current customers will likely be disappointed. We have accessed the site several times, and whilst we were shown a live-streaming icon, there were never any fixtures shown to us.

MogBet Bet Builder

Customers will be frustrated to see that there are no bet builder options with MogoBet, which is certainly a massive downside for any football punters looking to use the app. For anyone looking for a bookmaker with these options, we have previously looked into the best Bet Builder sites in the UK.

MogoBet Customer Support

Getting customer support is easy enough for customers with MogoBet, however, there are definitely some hurdles to jump when finding the area for the first time. Firstly, the live chat can only be accessed via the 'Account' area, which is certainly an oddity.

The live chat in itself feels rather bot-like too, something which is quite noticeable, even after the move to speaking to a person. Responses are not often quick too - this can become quite frustrating quite quickly, unfortunately.

Responsible Gambling Tools of MogoBet

There is a commitment to ensuring that customers are responsibly gambling with MogoBet, which is an expectation for bookmakers now. Like with the general customer support, the responsible gambling area can be found in the 'Account' area of the site.

Customers can limit the losses, wagers, and deposits on the site, which is a really nice touch. Any changes to this take time to implement so customers have a level of safety. In addition to this, more 'extreme' measures such as self-exclusions are also available.

MogoBet FAQs

MogoBet is owned by ProgressPlay Limited, who are mainly known for hosting casino sites, which is quite easy to tell from MogoBet. The casino area of the app is certainly better than that of the sports area.

Head to the 'Menu' area of the app, then select the 'Withdrawal' option in the 'Cashier' tab. From here, check your payment information is right and choose an amount. Be aware that Mogobet charges 10% on withdrawals, though.

Withdrawals can be done within minutes, and the money should be with you within 90 minutes, which is a really nice positive for the site.
