UKGC Licence (48789) See Licence

In 2025, the long-awaited arrival of LuckyMate finally occurred, after almost a year of it being listed on Anakatech's UKGC license. However, how does it stack up to other options on the market? In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know about the sportsbook and the casino.

You probably would not be able to tell that LuckyMate is a new site on the face of things. So, that calls for credit to Anakatech for releasing the site in such a state. With that said, it still has a way to go.

On the one hand, the markets are fantastic and there is a great range to choose from. The betting margins sit at a good point, meaning there is value to the site. Whilst the list of payment methods makes things pretty strong.

However, verification issues partnered with the potential oversaturation of markets, without focusing on things like UK horse racing, is a real problem. Furthermore, we received our money after 26 hours in our withdrawal test, which is a little too slow for our liking.

About LuckyMate

LuckyMate first appeared in the UK in 2024, when its name started to feature on Anakatech Limited's UKGC license. Rather than as a white-label solution, like the sister sites Betnero and 7bet, it was listed as Anakatech-owned and that is still the case now.

The site has a slight focus on the casino side of things, with it being listed first under its logo. Additionally, when you enter LuckyMate, the landing page is the casino which only confirms our beliefs.

Casino focus or not, however, it has also launched with a strong sportsbook, which was to be expected given the other sites (some sports-focused ones) that Anakatech powers. This is one of the first sites owned by Anakatch itself, though, so how does it hold up?

In this review, we will take a look at everything that LuckyMate's sportsbook has to offer. As well as highlighting the pros and cons, so that you can make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.

Is LuckyMate Legit and Safe?

🔒 LuckyMate's UKGC License: 48789

Anakatech Limited is fairly unknown in the UK betting industry. Yet, the company is completely licensed to operate in the country by the Gambling Commission (license number 48789).

There are five options currently offered, though LuckyMate takes two spots for its casino and sportsbook.

In other words, LuckyMate is a proper site that holds the correct licensing, with a history available for some of its sisters. This means there is further reason to feel safe when using this brand.

📊 LuckyMate's Trustpilot Rating: 1/5

Given that the site launched in late July, it has not been too heavy in its advertising yet, so reviews are hard to come by. Nevertheless, there are already two on its Trustpilot, which both give the site 1/5 stars.

Winomania, another site owned by Anakatech Limited, is only slightly better with a rating of 2.6 stars. 7Bet and BetNero, two other brands from Anakatech, hardly have scores to boast; 2.2 and 2.5 for the latter, according to Trustpilot.

💰 Has LuckyMate Been Fined by the UKGC?

Given the site and brand, in fairness, are in their infancy, there have been no regulatory actions taken, and there shouldn't be in this timeframe. Though this, again, shows that the site can be trusted.

LuckyMate Welcome Offers

LuckyMate's sign-up offer is a bit of a polarising one, it has to be said. At present, there is no sportsbook offer, so you will have to try the casino one to start. However, that is not a bad thing here.

For depositing and staking £10, customers are granted 50 free spins on the popular slot 'Big Bass Splash'. Thankfully, the winnings are paid as cash, and there is no wagering the bonus, meaning what you win is what you get.

However, the value of these spins is only £5. So, you're not really 'profiting' from it, like most offers - look at the 'Bet 10 and Get X promotions', for example.

LuckyMate's Deposit Methods

There are several payment methods to choose from, which is a really big positive for a recently launched site. Of course, the mainstays are available, as one would expect. There are also e-wallets, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, which are superb.

The popular e-wallet PayPal is missing, it should be noted, so those who like to use that e-wallet will have to check out the betting sites that support PayPal instead. The £10 minimum deposit amount could also be lowered.

LuckyMate's Withdrawal Methods

As is standard with withdrawals, LuckyMate loses a few methods compared to when depositing funds. However, you can still withdraw with the available e-wallets, as well as the standard banking options.

Unfortunately, speed is seemingly not a priority here, so if that is a must, it is better to look elsewhere. It is not horrendous, though, with the funds arriving 26 hours after the request. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about withdrawing funds at LuckyMate:

  • 1

    Navigate to the ‘Withdrawal’ Cashier

Once again, we need to head to the relevant cashier, and this is again done through the 'Profile' icon. From the menu shown, tap the 'Withdraw' option, and follow the steps.

    Enter the Withdrawal Amount

Once you have entered the cashier, things are more than simplistic. Enter the amount you would like to withdraw and then tap 'Withdraw'. It is as simple as that.

    Wait for the Money

Unfortunately, we found the withdrawal process to be overly difficult. There was no confirmation about whether verification was required or whether it was solely 'recommended'.

Furthermore, there was no time estimation given for the payment. In all honesty, something that put us completely off from the site. However, we received our money around 26 hours later. Still far from the best, though.

How to Verify an Account at LuckyMate

Admittedly, the withdrawal process with LuckyMate is a little confusing. As a result, this gives the site a few minuses. When signing up, the site 'recommends' uploading documents, doing so again when withdrawing funds for the first time.

Per conversations with the live chat, it is not actually required, but only 'recommended'. So, it is certainly difficult to wrap your head around. Clarification would be nice. To verify yourself, which seems to be done manually, you can upload a combination of the following documents:

  • Proof of ID: Driving licence (no further documents needed), Passport (no more than 3 months old)
  • Proof of Address: TV Licence bill, Utility bill, Bank statement (no more than 3 months old)
  • Bank Card

Most bookmakers offer a Know Your Customer process, which verifies you automatically. But the lack of this is certainly rather strange, and is very off-putting, even if it is just a one-time thing. Customers should not have to jump through hoops when this system is so widely used.

LuckyMate Sportsbook Review

There are around 40 sports listed on LuckyMate, including Gaelic Football, Floorball, and Biathlon. This puts it among the better lists that we have seen in the UK. Yet, there is, rightly, a conversation to be had about oversaturation, given the quality of some areas.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that navigating the site is challenging at times. We were regularly made to refresh the page, whilst accessing the markets is made more difficult than it needs to be.

⚽ Football Offering

When it comes to football, LuckyMate should have you covered. The site boasts a strong betting margin at 5.93%, which is very solid and among the best we have seen. However, there is a lack of regular bet boosts, which takes away some value.

In terms of markets themselves, on a Premier League fixture, you can find upwards of 150 different markets, which helps with bet builders. This depth spreads to the actual fixtures themselves, where the list of leagues spans worldwide.

Nevertheless, the navigation of the site in this area is a little poor, with things feeling a little clustered.

Luckymate Football

🏇 Horse Racing Offering

Horse racing, unfortunately for those dedicated punters, is a weak area for LuckyMate and for the Anakatech brands in general. Whilst Irish and International racing is available, you will not find any UK fixtures.

Live streaming is available for some fixtures, but the lack of Best Odds Guaranteed makes it one of the worst horse racing bookies that we have seen. That distinction is easy to make given just how many good sport of kings sites there are these days.

Luckymate Horse Racing

🕹️ Esports, Specials and More

Considering the extensive list of options, it makes sense that there is a big focus on having markets available. So, customers can find several E-sports options, including the likes of Valorant, Dota 2, Counter-Strike, and Call of Duty.

However, there is also a 'Football AI' which is certainly intriguing, whilst the specials markets cover odds for politics and awards. A solid offering, indeed.

LuckyMate Casino Review

Considering this seems to be a large focus for the site, you would expect the area to be able to compete with most other options on the market. To its credit, it certainly tries.

The casino is well structured, featuring some of the common categories offered in the industry: 'Top Picks for You' and 'New Games', to name a few. However, things are then broken down further into different brands.

A search bar offers an easy way to navigate things if you are looking for a specific game, as well. Finding well-known games like 'Dog House Megaways', 'Big Bass Bonanza', and 'Starburst' is also rather simple.

Luckymate Casino

Furthermore, the site offers games from a wide range of providers, which can be found with the search bar, which has a 'Search by Provider' feature.

When it comes to the live casino area, customers are shown more than 250 different options. Game shows like 'Crazy Time' and traditional casino games like poker, roulette, and even baccarat are available, which is promising.

Additionally, the popular game 'Aviator' is present, as well as other 'Crash and Arcade' games. So, you can find online slots, live casino, Slingo, and other popular options all in one place.

LuckyMate's Mobile App

As of September 2025, the site does not offer a mobile app for iOS or Android users. A really big drawback, considering the issues with navigation on the site. Unfortunately, 7Bet and BetNero do not have mobile apps either, so it seems unlikely that one will be arriving soon.

LuckyMate Responsible Gambling

It is no longer a nice addition from bookmakers to have a responsible gaming area. Instead, it is now a must, and LuckyMate complies well, featuring a dedicated section in its menu with several tools available:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Loss limits (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Time-outs
  • Reality checks
  • Self-Exclusion

Loss limits are an increasingly popular feature on betting sites. They regulate the net deposit amount over different periods and even different areas (in this case, the casino and sportsbook). However, more restrictive measures can also be applied, which is a must.

LuckyMate Customer Support

Customer support is a huge part of any company, more so a new betting site that needs to create a loyal user base. LuckyMate, there are certainly a few ups and downs as it currently is, admittedly.

The pros are that the live chat is a great aid, and we were supported quickly with our questions. In fact, we were speaking to someone and answered in just a few minutes. Additionally, the FAQ section is fairly detailed and well-structured.

However, there are some flaws. As good as the live chat is, it is sometimes unavailable on the site - having unspecified operating hours, whilst its icon also sometimes disappears, which is rather unhelpful. An email is provided, but there is no timeframe for this either.

All in all, it feels rather basic, which is a shame.
