Karamba is a unique and pretty cool new sportsbook in the UK. They have a great welcome offer that is easy to unlock and gives good value. They have a wide range of sports and markets to satisfy most punters.
Their design is user-friendly, fast and secure while providing competitive odds.
Karamba has been around since 2005, but it launched its sportsbook in 2017. It has a funky and unique design with an interesting colour scheme, but they are using the award-winning SBTech software. This site runs amazingly on SBTech and is great for fast, user-friendly navigation.
Something to be aware of, we have seen quite a few bad reviews with Karamba's withdrawal terms.
Firstly, every bookmaker in the UK will ask for some sort of ID for you to withdraw your money. As part of the UK gambling regulations, bookies are required to verify your identity. Check out our guide to providing ID verification for help with this matter should it arise.
Most notably, we saw one review with a live chat conversation posted. It was asking this player for a notarized ID to withdraw their funds. This is very uncommon and we have never seen a bookmaker asking for it. Something to be aware of, but we have also seen many positive reviews with the majority complaining about ID verification.
Again, it is required by the UK gambling regulations for bookmakers to verify their identity, it is not just Karamba.
Karamba has a rather average free bet offer, bet £20 get £10, but its simplicity is good for several reasons.
There is no large wagering requirement for your money to be available for withdrawal. It is easy to unlock this £10 free bet as you meet the requirements easily with standard betting practice.
We love that Karamba is using SBTech software as the layout and user-friendly design feels similar to many other bookies. But, their colour scheme can be fairly hard to read at times. They use a black font on a dark grey while highlighting the odds in white. It just doesn't work that well and they could easily use the bright, dynamic green and pink to better effect.
Potentially it's our poor eyesight that is nitpicking issues with their colour scheme, but our eyes just do not get along with it. However, their navigation is easy and fast. You will find handy quick links in the left and the sports menu list just below.
Once you click on a sport you can see a filter to the top right of the events list. Here you can decide which markets you want to view. It is great for quickly building an acca whether it is a "both teams to score" or match result bet.
Karamba has a surprisingly good range of markets for you to choose from. Of course, it is not close to the big boys like bet365 and Unibet. But, there is more than enough for the average punter. You will find all of the standard markets, plus some fast markets for some exciting in-play bets.
Their odds and betting margins are close to the industry standard, but if you are a high roller we recommend using BetVictor for the best odds and lowest margins. You will find 30+ sports to bet on including the recent addition of horse racing. Although, their horse racing options are still very limited.
If horse racing is your passion, check out Unibet or Paddy Power! You will find 100+ racing events on both sites every day. But, if you are more into football, then we advise you to check out our preferred football bookies.
In most of the popular football leagues, you will find 100+ markets to bet on including the lower leagues of English football. They also have 40+ betting markets for NFL games which is great if you like betting on American sports.
Karamba made a great decision using SBTech as they always deliver a solid product for in-play betting. It is fast and easy to navigate through the events and markets to select and place your bets. Their innovative fast markets can be a lot of fun and offer great value. You can bet on the next point winner in tennis or a goal in the next 10 minutes in football and many other markets.
We are not surprised to see no bet to watch streams on Karamba as only the biggest betting sites offer this service. But, they could improve their info-graphic on the match-tracker.
It doesn't look great but they do have a long list of key stats in the "Live Stats" tab. If you bet on tennis, you will find stats like aces, double faults, 1st serve successful % and plenty of other useful match stats.
Karamba states that they believe in "C.A.R.E - Customers Are Everything" while we are not too sure about the wording of that. They do have a fast and responsive customer support service. You can contact them 7 days a week from 0:600 GMT to 23:00 GMT. It should be a 24/7 service is customers are really everything but we will give them the benefit of the doubt here.
You can contact them using these services:
As mentioned earlier, they have quite a few bad reviews and it's mostly their withdrawal policy. Again, they are required to verify your identity and most bookmakers do this after you register or if you try to withdraw funds.
Asides from the notarised ID request, we are impressed with Karamba as an overall product. They have a wide range of markets to compete with the best and a ton of sports to choose from. Their odds could be higher, but they are around the industry average which is fine for the average punter.
Their welcome offer is simple and handy with easy terms to unlock the great free bet. We would like to see some bet to watch live streams but it is a lot to ask for a new betting site. Overall, we think Karamba is a good option if you are looking to try a new bookmaker.
