FanTeam Review (2026): UK Tests & Player Ratings

UKGC (39669) See Licence

FanTeam is a rather unique betting site that first launched in the UK in 2021. Thanks to the recent addition of a sportsbook, punters can now find a top-tier fantasy sports product alongside standard betting markets, making it a complete package.

In this review, we go through the sign-up process, the speed of deposits and withdrawals and also the quality of the bookmaker.

  • Real Player Feedback: We cross-reference expert findings with genuine player reviews and complaints from sources like Trustpilot, the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Our overall score is a weighted combination of our expert ratings and extensive real-world player feedback. We actively collect and analyse review scores and comments from Trustpilot, both App Stores, and directly from our community here on BettingLounge.co.uk. This ensures our comprehensive assessments reflect both our in-depth testing and the collective experiences of thousands of real players.

We are partners with bookmakers, but we will never accept money to adjust the reviews or purposely write positive content. We are committed to providing our readers with honest and impartial information so they can make informed decisions about their betting activities. We rigorously evaluate numerous online betting sites in the UK, but recommend only a select few that meet our high standards.

FanTeam is an intriguing option for UK punters, combining fantasy sports betting with more traditional markets. This means that an otherwise average bookie (sorry FanTeam!) actually has its place in the market, which is always a good thing.

That said, there are definitely some negatives to note from our testing. The betting margins are at an average of 8% betting margin, which is far from great, and there are no horse racing markets to be on either.

Instant withdrawals, as confirmed by our test, make it all a little bit better but this is instantly (see what I did there?) overshadowed by a 4.95% withdrawal fee. This fee only applies to five of the seven methods, with debit cards and bank transfers avoiding it.

If you use a bank transfer or a debit card, as such, it may be worth giving FanTeam a go. However, this is perhaps not the one for punters who like to use popular e-wallets.

About FanTeam

Fanteam is certainly a very interesting site. As one may expect, it features a traditional sportsbook, but the 'New' branding on this section suggests that this may not be the main focus for Scout & Co, which is the owner of the site.

Instead, the focus is on the 'Fantasy' element of things. In the US, this is a massive market and barring Fantasy Premier League, there is nothing like it in the UK. And even then, it is vastly different, so the site looks to bridge that.

The traditional sportsbook was added at the end of 2025 as FanTeam partnered up with Altenar. This sportsbook provider already works with Lottoland, All British Casino, Dream Vegas and a few others, so FanTeam made a solid choice.

In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know about this bookmaker. By the end, you should be able to make an informed decision about whether to sign up or not.

Is FanTeam Legit and Safe?

🔒 FanTeam's UKGC License: 39669

To operate a betting site in the UK, you need to have the appropriate licensing from the UK Gambling Commission, and as you'd expect, FanTeam has this. Licensed under account number 39669, Scout Limited is a fully legal option for punters.

It is also worth noting that the UKGC regulate the activities of bookmakers with a license. So, the site is completely safe and legit.

📊 FanTeam's Trustpilot Rating: N/A

Seeing a betting site with a positive Trustpilot score is rare, and this remains the case with FanTeam. In fact, the site has an overall rating of 2.2 stars from 29 reviews. However, over the past 12 months, there have been seven reviews, five of which have been one-star.

A pretty telling sign, but are they correct or slightly harsh? That's what we want to find out.

💰 Has FanTeam Been Fined by the UKGC?

There has never been any regulatory action taken against ScoutLimited, although this was to be expected. Nevertheless, it still deserves to be praised and bodes well for any potential customers.

FanTeam Promotions

If you are looking for some worthwhile promotions, you will not find any at FanTeam, which is actually really frustrating. Of course, the sign-up offer can be appreciated, but even that is not superb.

A few price boosts do not classify as a 'promotion' really. So, you are best looking elsewhere if you want value provided through promotions.

FanTeam Deposit Methods

There are five payment methods offered by FanTeam, and they are a really solid bunch. Featuring standard debit cards, a bank transfer system and some e-wallets, there is everything that you may want.

However, it does come with the drawback of a £10 minimum deposit, which admittedly is not the most attractive limit. Especially not when you compare it to some of the £5 betting sites. We have collected everything you need to know about deposits at FanTeam below:

How to Deposit at FanTeam

Depositing funds into a FanTeam account is very easy, but we have put together a step-by-step guide if you need some assistance:

  • 1

    Go to the Deposit Cashier

After you have created an account, head to the 'Cashier' area, which is highlighted in the main menu of the site. Normally, we have to navigate through a menu section, but this shortcut helps!

  • 2

    Choose Your Payment Method

Following this, you will be shown a list of payment methods, and you will need to select your preferred option.

  • 3

    Complete the Deposit

Finally, enter the amount you would like to deposit into your account. After verifying the payment, you can begin betting!

FanTeam Withdrawal Methods

As is pretty standard, you will need to use the same payment method that you deposited with when withdrawing funds. This is the case for most bookmakers, but the verification of your method is certainly a bit odd...

Nevertheless, it took less than two hours to verify our payment method, and then we actually received our money instantly! The bookie thus positions itself at the very top when it comes to bookies with fast withdrawals.

Unfortunately, only bank transfers and debit card withdrawals avoid fees, with other methods subject to a 4.95% withdrawal (max £20). Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the withdrawal methods at FanTeam.

How to Withdraw from FanTeam

If you are unfamiliar with the withdrawal process at FanTeam, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:

  • 1

    Go to the Withdrawal Cashier

When you are ready to withdraw your funds, simply head to the 'Cashier' menu and then tap 'Withdraw'.

    FanTeam Cashier
  • 2

    Verify the Payment Method

The next step is a slightly strange one, and one that we have not encountered before. When attempting to withdraw the funds, we were asked to provide proof that we actually possessed the withdrawal method.

So, you will need to provide that here. If you cannot, you will not be able to withdraw.

    FanTeam Withdraw 2
  • 3

    Enter the Withdrawal Amount

Whilst a list of payment methods is offered, you must use a verified method to withdraw funds. So select this option here, then enter the payment amount, which in our case was the minimum of £10.

    FanTeam Withdraw 3
  • 4

    Wait for the Withdrawal

Finally, you must request the withdrawal and wait for the money. However, we were not left waiting long. In fact, no sooner had we requested it than we received the money in our account, as can be seen in the screenshot.

How to Verify an Account at FanTeam

Part of the UKGC regulations is ensuring that you know who your customer is, and FanTeam follows this through the commonly used practice of Know Your Customer (KYC). So, this explains the need for as much personal information in the sign-up process. However, sometimes it may not be enough.

In these situations, you will need to upload any of the following documents to verify yourself:

  • Proof of ID: National Driving License, National ID or Passport (picture page).
  • Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement not older than 3 months, showing the 4 corners/edges.

Failing a KYC check is not the end of the world, and it does not stop you from having an account. Simply contact customer support and provide one of the documents when requested and you should be good to go.

FanTeam Sportsbook Review

The sportsbook is a secondary part of the FanTeam experience, and whilst it is noticeable to an experienced eye, it will not feel too dissimilar to some of the better options in the game if you are new to betting.

There are, give or take, 34 sports available to bet on, which is a fairly solid number; however, the inclusion of 'Short football' and similar options may reduce this number slightly. Additionally, navigating this section is a little weird, given that the sports are not listed alphabetically.

Football markets are easily accessible, either through the icon or the elite leagues listed in the 'all sports' section, and the range of markets is quite solid. For a standard Premier League game, there are more than 200 markets, including player selections.

FanTeam Home W/ Account

Of course, this is a big help when it comes to bet builders, but some of the niche options are not yet available.

For anyone looking for horse racing markets, though, you will not find them available at FanTeam. Unfortunately, racing of any kind is not on offer and that is a major drawback and a big push towards other options.

Looking at the betting margins, an average of around 8.17% is not awful, given it is probably a middle ground. However, the price boosts are not as extreme as elsewhere, which is something to consider.

The biggest draw to the site would be the fantasy betting options, and whilst Paddy Power also offers these, FanTeam is more focused on these markets.

With around 800 markets open at once, there is a lot to pick from, and the prizes can range from the hundreds to the thousands. Certainly intriguing if you know your way around fantasy betting.

FanTeam Casino Review

If you are looking for a betting site with a sportsbook and a casino, FanTeam is not the one for you. Given that the sportsbook is still considered new, too, it seems that the idea of adding a casino may be quite far away.

UK players can still access plenty of new sites, though, and we have compiled some of our favourite new casino sign-up offers for these occasions. So, please consider taking a browse of the options available! Who knows, you might find your new favourite...

FanTeam Mobile App

The FanTeam app launched around 2022, at least on iOS, and has received regular updates since its launch. For example, in 2025, the FanTeam Mobile App was updated 15 times, showing the focus on customer experience.

As you'd expect, the experience is pretty similar heading from the website to the mobile app, and whilst it may feel slightly cluttered in places, it is not a bad option to use. Relevant things are in the right places and navigating is quite easy.

However, it is certainly not one of the best betting apps in the UK, but this is to be expected really.

FanTeam Responsible Gambling

The other big focus for the UKGC currently is safer gambling and ensuring that punters are gambling within their means. As a result, bookmakers must offer the tools to help everyone punt safely:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Reality check
  • Time-out
  • Self-exclusion

Deposit limits and reality checks are the most common options, and are commonly enforced from the early stages of opening an account. If you need further help, though, the time-out and self-exclusion options are also good.

It is also worth considering using one of the charities listed on the site's bottom banner.

FanTeam Customer Support

The customer support section is really confusing at FanTeam, and it is one of the areas pointed out heavily in the customer reviews of the site.

Whilst there is a 'support' section, this is just an FAQ area, without any direct links to getting any further help. Although there is a 'Live Chat' toggle, we tried this and it actually did not work, so we have little faith in its usability.

Additionally, an email is offered, but there are no suggestions on how long it may take to get a reply. Lacking a 'Contact Us' page is a massive flaw, and it would only be positive if it were sorted.
