CopyBet is a decent sportsbook with some great welcome offers and promotions for UK punters to claim. While some sports are well-taken care of, such as football, this is not the case for all of them and CopyBet is perhaps not your best bet for versatility. Having said that, if you are a football fan and would like some good free bets, the bookie is well worth a try.
To strengthen its position in the industry, CopyBet will have to improve withdrawal times as well as customer support. No live chat is currently offered, aside from a bot, and this is not good enough compared to other prominent UK bookies. Then again, CopyBet is a promising one and improving the aforementioned areas could make it a great choice.

Although CopyBet was actually established in 2016, it is only recently that the company has become a lot more popular in the world of online sports betting in the UK. The firm now has around 18,000 different events to bet on in its sportsbook every day, so there is lots of choice.
CopyBet is a privately owned enterprise and therefore, little is known about the company's ownership. The site says that it is owned by CopyBet UK Ltd, which has its headquarters in the city of London.
The site offers something very different from the norm, with the brand making a case to be one of the most interesting online betting sites in the UK right now as a result of its innovation. The big feature, in fact, is that customers can 'copy' bets made by tipsters on the site.
Like many gambling companies, CopyBet has also used sponsorships to grow its public profile. During the summer of 2022, CopyBet was confirmed as the official betting partner for London-based team Queens Park Rangers, running a special QPR promotion as a result.
We are excited about this new partnership with CopyBet. Their model is very different to others in the marketplace with their innovative use of social media. Anton and the team at Copybet have been a pleasure to deal with as we embark on this multi-year partnership, which will include a number of creative collaborative initiatives.
With the QPR deal having been extended so it will run throughout the 2023-24 English Football League season, CopyBet has moved to snap up Shay Given as its first-ever brand ambassador. The former Newcastle United and Republic of Ireland international was previously in a similar role with Leo Vegas.
CopyBet is licensed and regulated in the UK by the Gambling Commission, so it can be considered both safe and legal to use for punters. SSL protocols are also in place at the new CopyBet sports betting site. This helps to protect customer data, so users can sign up for a CopyBet account and be assured their info is safe.
In addition, CopyBet is registered with IBAS, the Independent Betting Adjudication Service. Disputes between customers and CopyBet can be escalated to the latter for an independent ruling. For the registered operators, this ruling is also legally binding.
On Trustpilot, however, CopyBet.com has a rather poor rating at just 1.6 out of five stars. Most complaints relate to the verification process, which is worth keeping in mind, but others were disappointed with the site's design and usability.
Compared to other UK bookmakers and welcome offers, CopyBet stands out as new customers can claim free bets of a whopping £50. This is one of the most lucrative free-bets deal currently offered, and customers just need to place a £10 single bet at a minimum odds of 10/11 (1.9) in the CopyBet app.
Once the qualifying bet has been settled, 5 x £10 free bets will be credited to the customer's account with the following structure: 1 x £10 Free bet on horse racing, 1 x £10 Free bet on football, 2 x 10 Free bet in-play, 1 x £10 Free bet Acca.
The stake of the free bets will not be returned with potential winnings, as is expected, but the winnings are also capped at £500 which is rather low. It should also be noted that this offer must be claimed by depositing via Instant Banking.
Operator | Welcome Offer | Bonus Code | Claim Offer | |
---|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome Offer Bet £10 Get £50 in Free Bets | No code required | Claim Offer | Full T&Cs apply. New UK customers only. The qualifying bet should be either 1 Single or Accumulator (2+ selections) bet, start at £10, and have 1.9 or greater odds. 5 Free bets include: 1 x £10 Free bet on horse racing, 1 x £10 Free bet on football, 2 x 10 Free bet in-play, 1 x £10 Free bet Acca. Max payout – £500. 7 day expiry. 18+ only. Begambleaware.com. |
There are a few promotions available on CopyBet, which existing customers will be happy to hear. In addition to more 'classic' promotions, CopyBet regularly offers boosted odds on specific events and that is always a nice touch, especially for customers who like to bet on big events.
Other promotions include an acca boost, ranging from 10-20% depending on the number of selections, as well as a football prediction contest. Winners of the latter, with three chosen for guessing the right score, can choose between a football shirt or a free bet worth £50.
The most notable promotion, though, is the boosted odds as mentioned above. These events can be found at the very top of the site's sportsbook and CopyBet has thus made it easy for its customers, with a good amount of events always available.
The list of CopyBet deposit payment methods that can be used by the site's cashier is not a long one, especially when compared to the myriad of options that many major online bookies now offer.
Debit cards will be the default way for most people to add funds to their CopyBet account. In line with UK rules and regulations for online gambling, credit cards cannot be used to deposit here.
Skrill and Neteller are the two e-wallets included on the list of CopyBet payment methods, with especially the former being accepted by many bookmakers. However, those who would prefer to bet with PayPal will have to sign up with a different betting site instead.
There is no option to use pay-by-phone-bill (Boku) in the CopyBet cashier, while the pre-paid Paysafecard is not accepted either. Fortunately, CopyBet recently added Instant Bank Transfer to its list of methods but we will talk more about this in the withdrawals section.
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Visa | £10 | £1,000 | No fee | Instant |
Mastercard | £10 | £1,000 | No fee | Instant |
Instant Bank Transfer | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant |
During the making of our guide for CopyBet deposits, we noticed that the betting site has Apple Pay, Google Pay, Neteller and Skrill listed as options. However, when we tapped on either of them, we were faced with an error message. This message stated that we already had a deposit with another method, despite our account being empty of funds at the time.
We were restricted to the first deposit method, which in our case was a Visa debit card, as well as the Instant Bank Transfer option. We suspect that CopyBet is 'phasing out' the payment methods in the image as only the debit card and instant bank transfer options are showing in the CopyBet app cashier.
If you are familiar with the deposit process at CopyBet, you can follow our step-by-step guide below. For clarity, we tested this on the bookie's app.
Once you have opened the CopyBet app, tap the ‘Home’ icon in the bottom left corner of the screen, and then choose ‘Deposit’ option.
In the cashier, the first thing to decide is the payment method. Copybet offers a decent amount of methods, and for first-time payments, you are eligible for the sign-up offer if you use the Instant Banking method.
Once you have selected your payment method, enter the amount you would like to deposit and then tap the yellow ‘Deposit’ button. For first-time deposits, you will be asked to provide some identification information through an in-app verification process.
Following this, you will be taken to a new page to provide your payment details, and after this, tap the yellow ‘Pay X’ button. In our test, we deposited the minimum amount of £10 with a Visa debit card.
Finally, you will be taken to a confirmation screen stating that your deposit has been successful, and you are free to begin betting with CopyBet.
Customers at CopyBet who withdraw their winnings might be waiting a little longer than at some of the best online sports betting sites in the UK. The site says that all of its withdrawal requests will be processed within two business days, but only between the hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Those who want to get their hands on their money as quickly as possible could turn to sites that are known for fast withdrawals. Alternatively, instead of using a debit card, customers at CopyBet can use the new method Instant Bank Transfer which is powered by TrueLayer. This usually only takes a few minutes.
Payment Method | Min. Limit | Max. Limit | Transaction Fee | Processing Time |
---|---|---|---|---|
Visa | £10 | Not specified | No fee | 48 hours in our test |
Mastercard | £10 | Not specified | No fee | 2-5 business days |
Instant Bank Transfer | £10 | Not specified | No fee | Instant (within minutes) |
If you would like to find out how to withdraw funds from CopyBet, you can follow our step-by-step guide below. For clarity, we tested the process on the bookie's app.
Using the main menu of the CopyBet app, head over to the 'Home section' and select the 'Withdraw' option. This will bring you to the withdrawal cashier.
First of all, once in the cashier, you will need to enter the amount you would like to withdraw. Remember that the minimum withdrawal amount for all methods is £10.
For first-time withdrawals, Copybet will assume that you would like to use the same method as the deposit. It is possible to change the method, but you must first withdraw the deposit amount to the same method in line with money laundering regulations.
Finally, tap the yellow 'Withdrawal' button to complete the request. You will then be taken to a confirmation screen, stating that the withdrawal is on its. Although the app states it will be processed within just minutes, the money did not arrive in our bank account until 48 hours later. This makes CopyBet among the slowest bookies we have tested.
With CopyBet being the official betting partner of QPR, it is no surprise that football dominates the sportsbook, leading the way for basketball, tennis, volleyball and others.
We checked the Premier League odds, with this league being a good reference, and found that there were 400-500 markets available per game. This is indeed among the best football bookies in the UK, and punters can also benefit from a bet builder tool. Here, British football fans can put together a same-game acca that can have very big potential profits if accurate predictions can be made.
As for the betting margins, which is something that most punters tend to overlook, our testing showed an average of 7.29%. This is not great, certainly on the upper scale, and punters who prefer minimal fees for placing bets might want to check out a bookmaker like bet365 instead. But it likely will not be a problem for most bettors.
Horse racing punters can also find meetings at CopyBet, but the selection is not as good as the best sport of kings bookmakers. There were mainly UK and Irish races to bet on when we tested the sportsbook, with a few international meetings, and live streaming of these is not offered either. On the plus side, best odds guaranteed is available for UK and Irish races, which is essential.
There is no esports section, which is a curious omission given the rapid rise in popularity when it comes to betting on CS:GO, Dota 2 and so on. There is no virtual sports section either, while anyone who likes to play casino games as well as place sports bets will be disappointed here. Some special markets like Strictly Come Dancing and various global elections are offered.
Along with the sportsbook, CopyBet users have the option to subscribe to tipsters on the site. Here, they can opt to 'copy' all the tipsters' bets for a subscription fee. This is something very different from the norm and may appeal to those who want to try out something unique here. CopyBet's rating system ranks the tipsters by the success of their bets, not their predictions.
CopyBet does not currently offer any live sports streaming. Those UK sports fans who want to be able to tune into the latest action through their sports betting site will have to look elsewhere.

CopyBet is decent when it comes to mobile betting. The mobile site is fast and easy to navigate, as with many of the competitors, but most customers prefer to use an app these days for increased convenience. There are some very good betting apps on the market, so how does CopyBet stack up?
CopyBet's app is available for download both on iOS and Android. However, the CopyBet app is rated just 2.4 stars out of five on the Play Store, and 3.5 out of five on iOS. These ratings are not great, in other words, and suggest that customers might be better off using the website version after all.
To download the app, simply head over to your app store and search for CopyBet. You should then be able to find the app, which features a dark blue logo with the 'CopyBet' text in white.
Responsible gambling has become increasingly important in the last few years, with more sites competing for the bettors' money. There is a range of tools available on CopyBet, ensuring that gambling stays a fun activity, and this is something that the site deserves praise for.
All customers are encouraged to set the deposit limits when embarking on their betting adventure. These are a great way to ensure that you are not spending more money than planned. Furthermore, they give you an opportunity to reflect on your betting habits.
Most bookmakers in the UK nowadays have plenty of ways for users to get in touch if they have a problem or an issue with their account, so what are the CopyBet customer support options?
Unfortunately, this is an area where CopyBet is falling behind. Live chat is available on virtually all new online betting sites these days, but this is not something CopyBet is able to provide yet.
There is a frequently asked questions area where CopyBet customers will be able to find details such as the payment methods that can be used, but no live chat will be a problem for UK users.
Although there is no telephone number either, customers can contact CopyBet either by leaving a message via a contact form or by sending an email to the customer support address.
