BetMGM Deposit Methods and Terms

BetMGM is a well-known betting brand around the world, especially in the US, but it entered the UK market in the summer of 2023. Since then, a plethora of punters have been signing up for the site thanks to the sign-up deal, which is one of the best welcome offers around. The best part is that many deposit methods are eligible for this.

The minimum deposit is slightly higher than other top bookies, set at £10, but there are plenty of £5 deposit options if this is a deal-breaker. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about BetMGM and depositing funds, from the payment methods accepted to the specific terms for each.

How to Deposit at BetMGM

Below, we have put together a step-by-step guide for adding funds to a BetMGM account. It should be noted that we tested the process on the BetMGM app.

  • 1

    Navigate to the 'Profile' Area

When you have entered the app, you need to navigate to the 'Profile' area to begin the deposit process, and this can be found in the top right corner of the app.

    Enter the 'Deposit' Cashier

From the 'Profile' area, you will see a 'Banking' option and once you have tapped this, you will be given four options. In this case, we want to select the top option, 'Deposit'.

    Choose Your Preferred Payment Method

Following this, you will be offered four options: Apple Pay, Instant Transfer, PayPal and Debit Card. The latter was the method we used in our test, more specifically a Visa debit card.

Enter Payment Details and Tap on 'Deposit'

Finally, enter your card details, the deposit amount and confirm you agree to the T&Cs. Finally, tap the gold 'Deposit' button, and you are free to begin betting.

BetMGM Minimum Deposit

There are many positives about BetMGM, such as the swift withdrawal times, but the minimum deposit is not one of them. The most prominent betting sites in the UK accept deposits as low as £ these days, with Lottoland even going as low as £1, but the LeoVegas-powered bookie is still stuck at £10 and this is something that will have to be fixed eventually.

The one consolation is that any payment method can be used to claim the welcome offer, which is something that you do not see everywhere. This also means that even PayPal will work and that is indeed a rarity.

BetMGM Deposits Using Debit Cards

Debit card is usually the go-to deposit method for UK punters and it is certainly popular at BetMGM as well. The minimum deposit is set at £5 and there is also a maximum of £3,000, which is rather low compared to other betting sites. We like Visa for its fast withdrawals but at BetMGM, the welcome offer being 'open' means using a debit card is not a must.

BetMGM Deposits Using Apple Pay

It is only natural that a sizeable amount of new BetMGM will opt for Apple Pay, considering the convenience and the fact that it works for the welcome offer. The minimum and maximum deposit amounts are also exactly the same as debit cards, at £10 and £3,000 respectively.

BetMGM Deposits Using PayPal

PayPal is the only e-wallet option at BetMGM but this will not matter to most as it is considered the best e-wallet in the game. With a minimum deposit amount of £10 and a maximum of £10,000, the terms are slightly better than the other methods and it can also be used to claim the welcome offer.

BetMGM Deposit FAQs

To add funds to a BetMGM account, tap the profile icon in the top right corner. This will bring you to the profile section, where you will need to tap on 'Banking' and then 'Deposit'. Once in the deposit cashier, choose your preferred payment method and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Deposits at BetMGM are instant across all methods, though there could be a slight delay of a few minutes in some cases. We have never experienced any issues but if it were to take an abnormally long time, contact customer support for more details.

After registering for an account at BetMGM, you might need to provide additional documentation to confirm your identity. This process is usually done automatically with the details provided during the registration, but sometimes more is needed and this will affect deposit attempts.
