Bet St George is a new bookie that launched at the start of March 2026. As we were among the first to report, the site is powered by PlayBook Gaming, and was founded by the people behind BresBet.
In this review, we put the site to the test by signing up, verifying our account, depositing real money, placing bets and withdrawing funds.
Our unique BL Score also combines real user tests from Trustpilot, app stores and the editorial team to give a full, honest look at Bet St Geroeg.

There is a lot to like about Bet St George, even if it has only just launched. In addition to decent market depth for the sportsbook, there are also some fun promotions and boosts based on current events, which is also good.
We have to praise the quick withdrawal times too: our 32-minute test result is extremely strong for a new bookmaker. Not to mention that the bookie accepts £5 deposits, which is lower than most new betting sites, it has to be said.
However, there is a lot that must be improved before it can be seen as a top bookmaker. Starting simply, the number of payment methods needs to be increased, whilst adding a 'Live Casino' would also improve the player base.
Finally, creating an app in the future would be a nice boost. The notable thing here is that these issues can be solved. After all, a new bookmaker won't have everything available straight away.

Bet St George is one of the newest bookmakers to be launched in the UK, and it has a very recognisable English theme - similar to the Welsh feel of DragonBet - so it is not a surprise that the two are linked.
Indeed, both brands make use of the Playbook Gaming platform, which is a well-established UK provider that offers several decent options, such as AK Bets and StarSports.
When reading the site's 'About Us' area, it is stated that football, horse racing, and 'major national sporting moments' are prioritised, with a focus on providing 'a modern, inclusive English identity'.
In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know about the site. By the end, you should be able to make an informed decision about whether to sign up for the site and whether it really achieves what it sets out to do.
As is a necessity to operate in the UK, Bet St George holds a license with the UK Gambling Commission. This means it is strictly regulated, ticking the safety and legitimacy box by itself.
It is also worth noting that the site holds its own license - St George Limited (67818) - rather than being part of another one license. Of course, this is not essential, but it helps the image.
Given it is a new site, there are not many Trustpilot reviews to look upon, especially with it not being a large-scale launch. Nevertheless, there have been 11 reviews of the site at the time of writing.
The ratings thus far have not been brilliant, though. Users gave an average of 2.8 stars to the site. Until there is a larger sample size, we can't take these reviews as gospel, so we also wanted to provide an unbiased opinion.
Considering it is a new site, it would be pretty difficult for Bet St George to have any fines from the UKGC. Of course, it is a positive that the site has a clean record, but this should always be the case.

Given that the site has only just launched, we were not expecting an extensive range of payment methods during our testing. Especially when you consider that Playbook Gaming-powered sites are usually limited on this front, we were not too hopeful.
The fact that there is only one payment method available, debit cards, was thus not so surprising. The £5 minimum amount is nice, but it is not enough of a draw to give it high marks here. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits:
| Payment Method | Min Deposit | Max Deposit | Deposit Fee | Processing Time | Triggers Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | £5 | Not specified | No fee | Instant | |
Mastercard | £5 | Not specified | No fee | Instant |
Depositing funds into a Bet St George account is very easy, but we have put together a step-by-step guide if you need some assistance:
After logging in to your account, tap the profile icon in the top right corner to enter the profile section. Then, tap 'Deposit'.

Following that, you will be asked to enter an amount to deposit into your account. We opted to go with the minimum amount of £5 here.
Given that debit cards are the only available payment method, the next step is to enter the payment information.
Finally, tap 'Pay Now' and check if you need to verify the payment with your bank. Deposits are instant, so you will not need to wait, regardless of whether you have had to verify the payment.
The withdrawal process is equally limited at Bet St George. However, this solely extends to the lack of payment methods, as the £5 minimum remains.
What can be applauded, though, is the fact that payments are very quick. In our test, the money was in our account in just 30 minutes. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the withdrawal methods at Bet St George:
| Payment Method | Min Withdrawal | Max Withdrawal | Withdrawal Fee | Withdrawal Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | £5 | Not specified | No fee | 32 minutes (in our test) |
Mastercard | £5 | Not specified | No fee | 0-3 business days |
If you are unfamiliar with the withdrawal process at Bet St George, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
When you are ready to withdraw funds, head back to the 'Profile' area, using the icon in the top right. Then, tap 'Withdraw'.

Given that there is only one payment method, you just need to insert the amount that you would like to withdraw.

Finally, tap the 'Withdraw' button and wait for your money. Thankfully, we were not left waiting too long. After 32 minutes, the withdrawal arrived in my bank account.
Taking bets from under-18s or those who are self-excluded is a massive risk for bookmakers. This is why the sign-up process is often so thorough, thanks to the KYC system.
Indeed, this allows bookmakers to verify your identity digitally, using details provided in the sign-up area.
Bet St George is no different, and if you fail the initial verification checks, it is not the end of the world. Indeed, you can upload any of the following documents to prove your identity:
When it comes to the sportsbook offered by Bet St George, the positives can be identified rather quickly. With more than 25 sports available, there is plenty of choice for punters, which includes a few novelty markets like esports betting and even TV markets.
However, there is a clear favouritism established from the outset, with the site placing football and horse racing at its forefront. There are the largest areas of focus, as Bet St George states.
Starting with the football markets, the number of different leagues offered needs to be marvelled at. Whether you want elite fixtures like the Premier League or lesser-known games from the Bulgarian first division, they are available at Bet St George.
Furthermore, with average betting margins of around 6.6%, there is a lot of value for punters. Indeed, these markets may even have better prices than some of the top football bookmakers.
It is also worth noting the details of the bet builder tool. There are several different markets available, including speciality markets, so you will not struggle to make a bet.
When it comes to horse racing, things are equally positive. Fixtures from the UK, Ireland and International racecourses are available. Additionally, there is an extensive antepost section, meaning you can find value in advance.
Streaming is offered on all UK and Irish racecourses, while a few international fixtures offer this option too.
If pushed for a negative, the fact that only Win and Each Way markets are offered is a bit of a downside. However, this will hopefully be improved in time.
Despite it being a betting-focused operator, Bet St George does offer a casino section. However, it is not as deep as the game libraries available on other sites.
Indeed, Pragmatic Play and Leap Gaming titles are provided, but you will struggle to find options past those two providers. Both do offer a lot, but there is a clear lack of much else. It should also be noted that the site does not offer a 'Live' area, which feels a bit strange in this day and age.
Again, given that it is a new site, we cannot be too critical, but there is room for growth. It is worth mentioning that most Playbook Gaming platforms are pretty limited in terms of their casinos, so you may want to look elsewhere.
Unfortunately, there is no mobile app available for Bet St George just yet. This is not a surprise, given the site has just launched, and some of its sister sites are also missing an app. Yet, it is certainly a bit of a minus on the scoresheet and punters will have to be aware of this.
If having a mobile app is essential to you, there are several good apps to check out these days, from the heavyweight Bet365 to the up-and-coming AK Bets.
Responsible gambling is one of the key focuses for the UKGC, so bookmakers must enforce tools to allow for safer spending and gambling. This can be done in many ways, but these are the standard tools, which are also offered by Bet St George:
The first two, limits and reality checks, are enforced from the off, whilst time-outs and self-exclusions are more serious measures to take.
When it comes to customer support, Bet St George is quite basic, with only three options available.
An FAQ area is offered, but it is a screen of text, rather than it being an area to ask questions. It could certainly use a bit of TLC; that much is for certain.
Alternatively, you can email Bet St George or use the on-site live chat. It is worth stating that this is only open to customers with an account. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the customer support:

In the interest of transparency, we faced a few issues when signing up to Bet St George. After creating our account, we were immediately told that our account was suspended due to verification issues.
So, we followed the steps and emailed the site, seeking to get our account reinstated. This is not our first rodeo; we understand it happens. However, the process after this was slightly ridiculous.
After sending over a copy of a driving license and a bank statement (as requested), we were quickly asked for another photo of the driving license and then we were asked for a picture of 'Bank card: A copy of both sides of the card(s) linked to your account.'
Of course, we had not even been given a chance to deposit at this stage. So, there is/was no card linked to the account. Certainly slightly strange.
When asking for clarification, it was changed to 'provide details of the bank card you will be using.'
At the start, and every time we've ever had to verify an account, we were asked for proof of address and identity, nothing more.
Asking for a bank card from the outset is something that we have never encountered, and it left a somewhat sour taste in our mouths, especially given that we were waiting for hours between replies.
What should've been a quick process instead turned into a hassle.
