With Arsenal going another season without a trophy, there is discontent with Mikel Arteta from the fans.
Now, the bookmakers have opened the odds, and there are some interesting names in the mix.
Below are the latest betting odds for Arsenal next permanent manager at the time of this post.
There has been an undeniable amount of growth from Arsenal in recent years. However, when you invest more than £700 million, this is an expectation, without even considering where the Gunners were before hand.
The Spaniard has shown to have top level coaching qualities, and he has won some big fixtures in his time as the head coach - however, there is a consistent failure when it matters most, and this is now being scrutinised.
Put simply, Arsenal have not won a 'big' trophy (we're not including the Community Shield as a big one) since the 19-20 season, and there are frustrations growing, especially after the loss to PSG in the Champions League semi-final.
So, the bookmakers have now replaced odds on the Spaniard's successor. However, it is worth noting that this market is reliant on Arteta leaving, so prices are probably a little inflated.
Let's go over the favourites to replace Mikel Arteta and the odds for each manager.
I think there are very few, if any, coaches better than Simone Inzaghi currently, and that is why it is no shock to see him leading the list. If Arsenal are to progress, this is the level of hire that needs to be made.
HOWEVER, I cannot see this happening at present, simply because Inzaghi is linked with an extension with Inter until 2027, whilst also receiving a huge wage boost from what he is currently on.
It would be a phenomenal appointment, given he is probably the best complete coach in Europe currently, but I just think it is asking for too much.

Going from Arteta to Allegri is certainly something, and I'm not convinced that it would be a good something in honesty. However, we have to discuss the odds a little, given they make a lot of sense.
Allegri has previously been linked to Arsenal fairly regularly, and the Italian has even been in London in recent months with reports stating that he wants to manage in the Premier League, both recently and in the past.
Arsenal have continuously been on his radar, as the reports suggest, but I'm unsure if he would be the right fit.

There's a certain pattern emerging here. However, I cannot see Conte making a move to Arsenal. The Italian is very explosive, and I'm unsure if that would work well with Arsenal's management.
Of course, he is a fantastic coach, there can be no denying that. However, a move within Italy seems more probable than a potential move to Arsenal, which would have a few variables involved.
That being said, there would be no worries about loyalties to previous clubs, considering he has managed Napoli, Juventus and Inter, so why would adding a third London club to his list be an issue either?

Away from those three, the odds are very 'stab in the dark' like, and I'm not massively wowed by many selections. However, this may purely be because I struggle to see a reason for Arteta to be sacked.
Diego Simeone could be a good option, especially with Andrea Berta coming to the club, given they previously worked together at Atletico. Whilst Xavi Hernandez could be a nice hire considering Arsenal's squad is still relatively young.
Barring that the options are quite mediocre, at least in my view - whether that be for the candidates themselves, or how they would do with Arsenal's current set-up.
For now, I'd avoid a bet on this market, indeed.
