Manchester United's Potential New No.9 - Odds and Insight

With the summer market approaching, bookmakers are beginning to price up a number of transfer specials, and BetVictor have provided a few individual odds markets, so we have gone through them with Manchester United likely to sign (at least) one new striker.

It is worth noting, the Red Devils could sign one of the players on this list, or they could look elsewhere and sign a completely different player. So be careful if you are going to back any of the selections on this list.

Matheus Cunha - 1/4

Reports in recent weeks have linked Cunha to a move to Manchester, and the links are growing stronger as we get closer to the opening of the summer window. In fact, it seems that a verbal agreement between the player and the club is nearing completion.

A deal could cost the Red Devils as much as £60 million, which is doable, even if slightly on the pricey side. Considering his age and talent, though, it could be a bargain in today's market.

Whether there's any value in the selection remains to be seen, with it now being priced at 1/4. A trick may have been missed, perhaps.

Liam Delap - 2/1

It is beyond probable that Liam Delap leaves Ipswich Town this summer, largely due to his release clause, which would see him move away from Suffolk for a price of around £30 million, and Manchester United are sniffing around.

Under INEOS' ownership, the club are seemingly looking to be smarter with their money, and buying a 22-year-old Englishman (which always helps for registration rules) for that price is a steal anyway, without even considering his 14 contributions this season.

Delap will be hot property this summer, so it remains to be seen where he will choose to move to, considering each of the interested parties will be able to afford that release clause figure.

Viktor Gyokeres - 2/1

Another player who will surely move this summer is Viktor Gyokeres, who has seemingly reached his endpoint with Sporting Club in Portugal. With Coventry, the Swede was phenomenal, but he has reached a new level away from England.

So, a return to the Premier League looks very likely, with several clubs taking a look at the striker, who is valued around the £65 million mark.

At 26 years old, the Swede has the makings to go even further and put himself among the best options in Europe with a move up the ladder. United almost being in the final of the Europa League also raises their chances, considering the trophy (which they are 4/5 favourites to lift) would welcome them to the Champions League.

Victor Osimhen - 2/1

The final option of the headline trio is Victor Osimhen, who has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester since Napoli won the Scudetto. However, nothing has ever happened, though it could this summer.

Osimhen's time in Naples has come to an end, and after demanding upwards of £100 million last summer, but it seems a price as low as £55m could be enough to snatch the Nigerian this summer.

Despite spending the year in Turkey, the striker is still one of the best in Europe, and he could return to his utmost best at Old Trafford.

Alexander Isak - 25/1

Just for the sake of mentioning it, Alexander Isak has also been priced up for a move to Manchester, but the 25/1 price is very telling. It is a dream move, probably, but financially, you would imagine United will not have the means to make it happen, considering other areas also need strengthening.
