For those of you who were around for our I'm A Celebrity or Love Island All Stars odd watches and tips, welcome back to Media Watch! If you weren't with us for that, do not worry. This area does what it says on the tin; we take a look at some of the big stories of the past few days in one place to potentially help with any selections.
In the past few days, we have seen two couples dumped from the Love Island Villa. It started with Megan and Conor, and then on Sunday night, Meg and Dejon were sent home.
With the former's dumping, it took place after a romantic meal, leading The Mirror to call it a bit of 'chaos'. Elsewhere, OK Magazine relays comments from fans, with one even stating that they were 'in shock' at the decision to send the couple home.
With regards to the latter, The Daily Mail states that they were 'brutally' dumped from the Villa, with former stars from the show coming back and giving some home truths. Elsewhere, Bristol Live have called the events 'savage' and it is difficult to disagree.
Well, I don't really know what to say here. Last week, I felt pretty confident that the winner was already confirmed. However, things have changed a little in the past week, and it has left fans a little shocked.
As of Friday night, Toni and Cach were the clear favourites to win, with most bookmakers offering around Evens. However, they have drifted since and are now the second favourites. Who are they behind, though?
Well, Harry and Shakira, at the time of writing, are now the favourites to win Love Island this year in what would be one of the biggest shocks in the show's history. Last week, they were as high as 4/1 to win the show, but they have been shortening quickly, with fans starting to love the couple.
Toni and Cach remain the second favourites, and their price, in fairness, has not drifted by much. You can get around 2/1 with the couple, which may not be a bad price. However, there has been a real storm of affection for Shakira and Harry.
Yasmin and Jamie are now out to around 4/1, despite being the favourites at one point. Maybe there could be a few shocks later on; we need to see. For now, though, it is difficult to look past the favourites.
As of August 4 (before the final episode), Shakira Khan and Harry Cooksley are the favourites to win Love Island 2025 at 11/10 with Betfred.
