The race for a top-six place is only getting more exciting, but it seems like some of the teams are struggling to keep up at the moment, following a shock revival.
Birmingham did not play this weekend; instead, they played in the Vertu Trophy final, and though they lost that game, they still had a good weekend.
Wrexham failed to win, meaning there is now a 13-point gap between the two teams. Considering there are just 12 points left to play for, the Blues are the Champions of League One and will be firmly focused on breaking the division record.
With the title battle now officially done, we can look at the two teams fighting for automatic promotion, and things are really getting interesting.
Wrexham, who currently sit second, were unable to beat Wigan away from home in one of the league's early kick-offs. It is a massive missed opportunity, considering where the Lancashire outfit currently sit, and that is without considering the work of Wycombe.
So, chasing second and needing a win, the Chairboys did just that, however, they had to make their work of it. Stevenage were a difficult opponent, and defended resolutely, but a 91st-minute goal from Caleb Taylor was enough to snatch three points at home.
Now, the gap between the two teams stands at just a point, and you really could not tell who would get the automatic spot right now; it is far too close to a call. For us neutrals, it is going to be a fantastic watch!
Below, we have collected the top contenders and their respective odds to secure automatic promotion in the 2024/25 League One season.

We start in fourth, where Stockport are currently sitting after another win this weekend - making it four on the bounce for Dave Challinor's team. The Hatters have been phenomenal of late, and without that early 2025 blip, they would definitely be in the automatic spot debate.
A team who have been equally brilliant lately is Charlton, and they snatched a 1-0 win away against Cambridge on Saturday afternoon. Though not the most emphatic win, it's a huge three points against a side who are desperately trying to avoid the drop.
Taking the final spot in the top six is Reading. The Royals are doing superbly considering everything off the pitch, and though they could only draw this weekend, they have a three-point gap.
Now, there has been a major shakeup below them, with Leyton Orient now most likely to get back into the play-offs. Two wins on the bounce have put them into second, and with a far superior goal difference to Bolton, you would feel strongly about their chances.
It is Bolton where we come to next, and we'll add Huddersfield in here - both teams have been dismal in recent weeks, losing three and four games respectively in their last five. A very bleak record, and their play-off chances are surely as good as done.
Below, we have collected the top teams - aside from the big favourites - and their respective odds to finish top 6 in the 2024/25 League One season.

I said last week that I was still very confident that Burton could avoid the drop this season, and this weekend, they have had lift-off. Now, for the first time since Matchday 6, the Brewers are outside of the bottom four.
So, with that said, we'll work our way down, and we start with Bristol Rovers, who have been almost calling for the drop for weeks now. This weekend's defeat to Exeter was their sixth straight loss in a row, and there are really no signs of life left in this team.
Six points below are Crawley, and a similar story can be said. With no points in their last three games, they are struggling massively and I don't think they'll be able to create enough of a swing to stay up now.
Losing by only a goal to Charlton certainly is not the worst result in the world, but in front of a home crowd, you would expect there to be a little more fight from the side who currently sit 23rd. Once again, I am not confident of their chances.
Finally, we come to Shrewsbury, who are only a game away from relegation now, at least officially. A draw at the weekend means that there is a 12-point gap to Burton in 20th, and with a -34 goal difference, they are going to need a 19-goal swing, whilst not seeing either 20th or 21st pick up a point.
In other words, we have seen the first victim of the drop.
Below, we have collected the top four teams and their respective odds to be relegated in the 2024/25 League One season.
