Conference League: Outright Betting Predictions & Tips for 2025/26

The Europa Conference League returns next week, and there are several teams vying for a chance at European glory. Who will prevail? Well, that's what we're hoping to see.

As a reminder, the format is now a 'league phase' situation, where each team plays against eight different opponents, rather than just facing the same three twice. That said, this may make for better entertainment. Let's take a look at the teams and tips.

UEFA Conference League 2025/26 Winners - Odds and Tips

The betting markets for the Conference League, admittedly, are a little underwhelming considering you can only bet on winners at this point. However, there are some decent opportunities for some value.

For example, the favourites Crystal Palace are 5/1 to win the competition. The favouritism for Palace does make sense, especially since English teams have won 50% of the competition so far. This is thanks to the current holders, Chelsea and the 2022/23 winners, West Ham United.

There is a very good argument to make that the Eagles can continue this trend. However, it is going to be a big challenge to get far in the competition, even if they have gotten in this position thanks to their results in the FA Cup.

So far, the Conference League has been won by teams that are used to European competition. Whilst that is not said to discredit the Eagles, far from it, I'd be a little wary about backing them.

So, at the price of 5/1, I am a little bit tempted to take them on, even if they are quite backable... 

Fiorentina's squad is pretty decent, but Stefano Pioli has not managed to get them really taking off so far. As such, the price of 11/2 is a little questionable in my eyes. Yet, they will go decently well, I think. 

The team that is actually catching my attention is RC Strasbourg. They are 7/1 for the tournament and third favourites. When looking at the list of teams, I think they are potentially a little under the radar, and that price is quite attractive.

There are several players of quality in the French outfit's ranks. Emanuel Emegha, Kendry Paez, Julio Enciso, and Valentin Barco stand out. At the back, Mamdou Sarr, Lucas Hogsberg and Guela Doue are all solid options. 

Liam Rosenior will also get his first taste of European management, so there may be a few questions to ask there. But, his team should do well on quality alone. 

As a bit of a long shot, I'd consider taking a look at AZ Alkmaar. The Dutch outfit are one of only three teams unbeaten in the Eredivisie so far. Their recent 3-3 draw with Feyenoord further proves that they are well among the better teams in the division.

Last season, they were knocked out of the Europa League in the Round of 16 by the eventual winners, Tottenham Hotspur. However, they held their own, with Spurs only going through with a goal advantage. 

This is now Maarten Martens' third season in charge of the club, and the Belgian coach is certainly making an impact. They have regularly been the best competition outside of the traditional big three under his leadership.

A price of 12/1 is currently available, and I'd certainly be willing to have a little go on them at that price. If anything, I'm a little shocked to see them that side of 10/1.
