A dramatic end to the Championship season saw Ipswich Town secure back-to-back promotions and join Leicester City in the Premier League, leaving Leeds United to enter the play-offs.

They will be joined by Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City, with Hull City unable to claw their way into the top six and Middlesbrough leaving their charge too late.

Let's take a look at how the Championship promotion betting odds stand ahead of the play-offs.

Leeds United - 6/4 for Promotion

Daniel Farke's side seemed to have a foot in the Premier League a few weeks ago, but a startling collapse means they will be taking on Norwich in a two-legged semi-final instead.

Leeds lost four of their last six games, taking only four points from a possible 18, to open the door for Ipswich to claim a place in the Premier League. They went down 2-1 at home to Southampton on the last day of the season and even though they are at home in the second leg against Norwich, they are on a three-game winless run in front of their own fans.

While Leeds probably have the strongest squad in the play-offs, momentum can be crucial at this stage of the season and it will be tough to recover mentally from missing out on the top two.

Southampton - 13/8 for Promotion

The Saints manfully kept up with the top three for much of the campaign before successive home losses in February started their stumble. They were still in touch as the run-in gathered pace but then lost three in a row before ending the campaign by winning away at Leeds.

Consistency seems to be Southampton's issue but they can rely on one of the Championship's top goalscorers. Saints striker Adam Armstrong netted 21 goals in the league and he is ably supported by the Scotland international Che Adams, who hit 16.

Armstrong, though, is on a relatively dry run. He scored against Leeds but that was the first time he had found the net for more than a month. Southampton need him to fire in the play-offs.

West Brom - 11/2 for Promotion

Like their play-off opponents Southampton, West Brom lost three in a row during the run-in before recording a last-day win, beating Preston North End 3-0 at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

The Baggies have found it hard to get results away from home. Their only three wins on the road since November have come at relegated Rotherham United and Huddersfield Town, along with a victory at Plymouth Argyle, who narrowly avoided the drop down to League One.

Norwich City - 11/2 for Promotion

The Canaries were also perhaps guilty of taking their foot off the gas in the closing weeks of the season, with their play-off place having seemed certain for several weeks.

They host Leeds on the back of a run of one win in five, having ended the season by losing at Birmingham City.
