Prior to last Friday’s draw, Real Madrid were the favourites and nothing has changed on that front. This comes as a bit of a surprise considering Los Blancos drew neighbours Atletico Madrid on what is perceived as the tougher side of the draw, with sides like Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.

Real Madrid are now priced at 10/3 to win the Champions League which could potentially mean beating soon-to-be Premier League Champions Liverpool on their route to Munich. Arne Slot’s side are many fans’ favourites to get their hands on a seventh European cup.

They have been drawn to French giants PSG and will face either Club Brugge or Aston Villa should they overcome the Ligue 1 leaders. The Reds' odds have increased a bit as a result of the draw, going from 4/1 to 11/2.

Subsequently, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have gone from third favourites to second favourites as their odds are now 9/2. The Catalan side will be up against Benfica and while the league phase clash between the two was dramatic, the odds changes here make sense.

Arsenal, the bookies’ fourth favourites (11/2) amid their injury worries, got 'lucky' with their draw as they will be up against PSV Eindhoven. That being said, should the Gunners win against the Dutch side, they would be up against Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid in the quarters.

The odds of Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid have remained largely unchanged. Unai Emery's side are the favourites in the game against Club Brugge but after that, they would have to overcome some of the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG and Atletico to get to Munich.
