Deportrio and Yanited remain the leading contenders sitting first and second in the standings but both dropped points during game week nine. Those dropped points has condensed the top end of the table leaving things finely balanced ahead of the next couple of weeks. Here we take a look at how the outright Baller League winner odds are impacted by those results.
Monday saw a ninth round of Baller League UK take place at the Copper Box Arena in London. Here is how the action unfolded:

Yanited and Deportrio came into game week nine locked on level point at the summit of the Baller League table. The duo have traded blows throughout the competition and Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards thought they were set to cement their place at the top of the league when Yanited slipped to a 4-3 defeat to MVPs United. Unfortunately, Deportrio could then only manage a draw with Trebol. It means the pacesetters have only a point between them whilst Trebol and MVPs remain firmly in the hunt.
Santan enjoyed a good week too but it was not such a good night for VZN, who were hammered by 26ers. Realistically, it feels like the top four will come from four of those six sides.
Here are the latest outright Baller League odds and how they have moved from last week.
Deportrio would have been delighted to see Yanited slip up when watching the action unfold on Monday night but any smiles would have quickly been wiped off their face when they found themselves 2-0 down to Trebol a little later in the evening. The table toppers though showed a good mentality to come back and draw though, which is why the bookies have them back as favourites with a 11/4 price. It is noteworthy, however, that their overall probability has softened week-on-week. Ultimately, that will be driven by their results against some of the other top sides that have shown they're not unbeatable.
Yanited have seen the biggest reduction in probability of all the Baller League teams after their showing in game week 9 with their price drifting from 9/4 to 3/1. Yanited have been excellent during the competition but they have shown signs of having lost form at the business end with only one win from their last four matches. Their 4-3 loss to MVPs on Monday being the latest dent in their confidence. We still expect them to secure a top four finish but they'll need to get that spring back in their step over the next couple of weeks to come through the playoffs and claim the silverware.
Deportrio and Yanited might not have a huge gap at the top of the standings but they have proven across the nine weeks that they are the best sides in the Baller League. If we work on the assumption they occupy two of the four playoff spots, there is likely a two from four scenario to be played out over the next couple of weeks; only one point separates the sides occupying fourth and sixth.
Santan are currently sat third in the table having won six of their nine games played, including taking three points from their Monday night clash with Rules the World. The bookies have them as a 9/1 shot right now though, which has shortened from 11/1. That is the same 1.7% probability improvement that fourth placed MVPs United have seen week-on-week, which is perhaps a little surprising given that MVPs beat the much fancied Yanited on Monday.
What is more eyebrow raising though is that it's actually fifth placed Trebol FC that the bookies have as third favourites. Trebol, who are managed by Luis Figo, are an 8/1 price to win the Baller League outright. The key reasoning behind that likely being their performances against the two favourites; they beat Yanited 4-2 in game week six and held a 2-0 lead versus Deportrio this week before being pegged back for a draw.
That just leaves VZN. Like Santan and MVPs, they are available at 9/1 but with their probability having declined by 5.4% since last week. Their 8-3 defeat to 26ers is hard to look past hence their odds drifting out from 11/2.
