Arsenal's Potential New Number Nine - Odds and Insight

With the summer transfer window quickly approaching, UK betting sites are pricing up a number of transfer specials, and BetVictor have provided a few individual odds markets. We have gone through them with Arsenal, one of the few teams looking to sign a striker.

Whilst it is likely that the Gunners may try to sign one (or more) of the players on this list, they may look elsewhere too, so be mindful of this when making your selection(s).

Viktor Gyokeres - 2/1

By all accounts, Gyokeres will be leaving Portugal this summer, and it is easy to understand why this will be the case. The Swedish striker has been on fire since (and even before) moving to Sporting Club, and this summer, it seems like he will take the next step in his career.

Despite joining the club 12 months prior, there were suggestions that he could leave the Portuguese giants last summer, but with two years of European experience under his belt and his goals not stopping, it seems obvious that he will depart for pastures new this summer.

Arsenal, at the time of writing this, are the clear favourites to land the 26-year-old and it would be a fantastic move for Mikel Arteta's side, given how versatile of a striker he is.

Alexander Isak - 6/1

If the Gunners are looking to make a big signing this summer, it will not get any bigger than bringing Isak to the club after years of pursuing the Swede. When he was rumoured to leave Real Sociedad, it was Arsenal who were the big players, but instead, he headed to the North East.

Now, with three Premier League seasons under his belt, it may be time to pounce for Mikel Arteta and bring the striker to the club. However, doing so will have a heavy cost, which could be more than £100 million.

As statement signings go, Isak would be the top one this summer, but it is dependent on Arsenal's wallet being as big as their desire for him.

Liam Delap - 10/1

With Liam Delap, it seems like a name thrown into the mix, rather than an actual shout. The Englishman is likely to move, and Arsenal need a striker, but it doesn't really feel like a move that will happen. We'd be avoiding 10/1 here.

Matheus Cunha - 12/1

Considering Matheus Cunha's recent rows against Wolves fans, we can only see him leaving this summer, with the Brazilian seemingly desperate to leave the Midlands this summer, despite signing a new contract recently.

It would certainly be an intriguing move, but there are better clubs out there for him in our opinion, and likewise, Arsenal could probably find someone better to lead their line.

Victor Osimhen - 12/1

After a summer of interest, the Nigerian headed to Turkey after a fall-out with Napoli, and this year he could be available for as little as £60 million, which feels like a steal considering his value 12 months ago.
