BetMGM were 'brought to life' in 2018, as stated on their website, but it has only been in recent months that they have risen to fame in the UK gambling market. Most notably, they sponsor the PDC Premier League Darts and are becoming an increasingly known bookmaker. The sportsbook will likely be familiar to some, as the bookie has a few sister sites.
On the App Store, the BetMGM app has around 3,600 reviews, earning a rating of 4.4 stars across these ratings, which is a fantastic opening to their ratings on the iOS store and one of the highest-rated betting apps in the UK. The story is nowhere near as good on the Android store, though.
In the eyes of Play Store users, the BetMGM app has a 2.0 rating from only 1,600 reviews, which is a massively worrying story for the app. When we had originally looked at the app's reviews, we had the American ratings for the Android app - which were much higher - and this makes you question why there is as much disparity between the two app ratings.

If you would like to find out how to register on the BetMGM App, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
Once you have opened the app - or entered the website - tap the golden 'Sign Up' button in the top right-hand corner of your screen to begin the process.
Initially, you will be taken to a screen to enter your email address and password for your account, but this is also where we recommend selecting your sign-up offer (as shown below).
Once you have chosen your account details, the next step is to enter your personal information including full name, date of birth and full address. Additionally, here is where you can add a deposit limit to your account.
Finally, you will be asked if you would like to receive any marketing from BetMGM, and also confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions as well as Privacy Policy. Once this has been done, tap the gold 'Create Account' option.
With BetMGM being the 'newer' kid on the block, it has its benefits in some areas, but the drawbacks are represented in terms of payment methods.
For iOS users of the BetMGM app, you will not face any problems and can use Apple Pay to make deposits whilst also being able to access other popular payment methods on the app. However, for Android users, you will not be able to use Google Pay, which is disappointing, and if you are looking to use this method of payment, you can find our list of Google Pay-accepting bookmakers.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits and withdrawals on the BetMGM app:

If you are new to the BetMGM app and would like some assistance with depositing funds, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
When you have entered the app, you need to enter the 'Profile' area to begin the deposit process, and this can be found in the top right corner of the app.
From the 'Profile' area, you will see a 'Banking' area, and once you have tapped this, you will then be given four options. In this case, we want to select the top option, 'Deposit'.
Following this, you will be offered four options, Apple Pay, Instant Transfer, PayPal and Debit Card - which was the method we used in our test.
Next, insert your card details, and deposit amount and confirm you agree to the terms. Finally, tap the gold 'Deposit' button, and you are free to begin betting.
If you are unsure about how to withdraw funds on the BetMGM app, you can follow our step-by-step below for some assistance:
To start the process, you will need to enter the 'Profile' area to withdraw your funds. So from the main menu, tap the 'Profile' option, and then enter the banking menu.
Again, you will have four options and this time we want to select 'Withdraw'. For future reference, this is also where you can keep track of any pending withdrawals - a handy feature indeed.
In this step, you will be asked to select a method of withdrawal: Apple Pay, debit card, instant transfer or PayPal. We opted to go with a Visa debit card in our test, seeing as this is a commonly used method among UK punters.
Finally, there are two more things to do. First, select your card from the dropdown list and then enter your withdrawal amount. Then, tap the golden 'Withdraw' button. In our test of the withdrawal process, the money arrived after four hours. This is a timeframe that was shared with its sister website, BetUK, when we tested that app.
When loading onto the app, you will be presented with the sports options immediately, and BetMGM will showcase sports that you have taken a previous interest in primarily, and then also offer you the highest-rated sports after this.
From this home page, you are also given five key options at the bottom of the screen. Firstly is the 'Featured' screen, which is the initial screen of the app once you have signed in, additionally, you are offered 'All Sports', 'In-Play', 'Golden Goals' and the 'My Bets' sections.
Whilst the amount of sports available is fantastic, the layout of them is poor in the 'All Sports' section. At the top of the screen, there are five highlighted sports, so to speak, and then there is a drop-down menu to the right of this, which allows you to browse the available sports.
Fortunately for customers, the 'In-Play' area is much easier to navigate for the user. As is the normality with this section of a betting app, you will be shown several ongoing fixtures, but to select your sport, you can use the scrollable tab at the top of the screen, as shown below.
Navigating the Football area of the app is very easy, as is a commodity with bookies, the fixtures are laid out by their rankings, so to speak, so at the time of writing this, the European Championship fixtures are highlighted. Nevertheless, the range of leagues available is fantastic, and you can bet on Esports fixtures to the Finnish second division.
Another big part of mobile football betting is the ability to create Bet Builders, and whilst the display is different to how others may be, it is still an enjoyable interface. Not only is there a large range of markets, but they are presented well, which makes the experience better for punters. However, the options are not as broad as some of their competitors, which means it would be difficult to suggest this is the best, or even among the best, for placing Bet Builders.
Golden Goals is a fantastic promotion from BetMGM too, which allows customers to get a free chance to win money on the app. Whilst this is a commodity on most apps, having it presented so easily is rare, and we can appreciate this.
Horse racing betting on the app is not as enjoyable as other apps if I'm being completely honest. Fixtures are easy enough to find, but it is certainly easier through other bookies, and the range of racecourses is also welcomed.
Given that BetMGM's roots are deep within the Casino industry, it is understandable why the app hosts such an extensive selection of slot, table and card games. Not only does the app promote a classic Casino experience, but it also promotes a 'Live Casino' page, which can be enjoyed by Casino players.
It is very easy to navigate the Casino area of the app, and there are several different types of games available. BetMGM offers 'Slots' games, 'Jackpots' games, 'Table' games and also 'Megaways games - promoting popular games, such as 'Big Bass Splash' and 'Blackjack' within each section.
On the Live Casino page, it is easy to find several classic live games, such as live Roulette, Blackjack, Poker and Baccarat. However, it is also easy to find live Gameshows, such as 'Crazy Time' and 'Monopoly Live'.
If you need customer support from BetMGM, it is easy to find it. Simply head to the Menu tab in the top left corner of your screen - which will be shown by the three horizontal lines - and then select the 'Support' option from the menu.
From here, you will instantly be taken to a Live Chat with BetMGM's Virtual Assistant rather than being presented with a FAQ area. This is not a bad thing, though.
The Assistant will ask that you provide information about your issue whilst you are connected to a Customer Support Advisor, but in our experience using the app, before we finished typing a hypothetical query, we had been connected to an advisor.
For some people, they may prefer to search for the FAQ section, but with a Live Chat as quick as BetMGM's it is a fantastic Customer Support area that we rate very highly.
When I first used the app to try depositing and withdrawing, I initially had a few problems with the application, where it loaded slowly, or I could not easily navigate to certain areas of the app. However, in the time following this, my experience on the app has been very pleasant.
Navigation around the app is very easy, and you can quickly find what you are looking to bet on once you have opened the app, unlike some apps where it is challenging to navigate certain areas.
Unfortunately, there are limitations with some areas of the App such as the limited navigations of the Horse Racing sections and the poor Bet Builder offers. But, as an actual App, which is what we are reviewing, there are a lot of positives with BetMGM, and it is easy to see why it has quickly risen in popularity.
