Paddy Power UK Review: Our Tests & Real User Ratings (2026)

UKGC Licence (39439) See Licence

Paddy Power was established in the late 1980s, and quickly rose to popularity in Ireland before becoming part of the UK market in the early 2000s, where it has since risen to similar levels.

In this review, we tested Paddy Power hands-on with real deposits, bets & withdrawals. This also includes real player ratings, bonuses, odds, apps, payments & safety.

Paddy Power's position at the top of the UK market is undeniable, and after review, we can only add to the praise for the bookmaker. In a lot of ways, it is easy to get bookmaking right and the Irish brand proves so.

Indeed, with great promotions, odds and markets, the bookmaker holds itself as one of the best options for punters in the UK and Ireland. Furthermore, with an exceptional range of payment methods, no customer is excluded.

We've not even mentioned the casino section yet, which is only another strong area to lean on. In other words, whatever style of punter you are, and whatever your preference is, Paddy Power will have you covered.

About Paddy Power

Paddy Power is one of the most notable brands in the UK, and some may even suggest that it is the most popular option for casual punters, given how much advertising is present.

Indeed, when watching television or listening to the radio, Paddy Power is not far away, and even on social media this is the case. In other words, its social presence is continuing to grow, so it makes sense why it is so heavily used.

Given its sister site links to Sky Bet and Betfair, two of the best bookmakers in the UK, it makes sense that the sportsbook and casino are so good. It is certainly tough to find better all-rounder options!

In this review, we take a look at everything you need to know about the site. By the end, you should be able to make an informed decision about whether to sign up on the site or not.

Is Paddy Power Legit and Safe?

🔒 Paddy Power's UKGC License

Paddy Power is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, which regulates all activity from bookmakers. However, it is not a straightforward license, like we often see.

Indeed, the license is split across a few different licenses. PPB Counterparty Services Limited (39349) holds the sporting license, whilst PPB Entertainment Limited (39426), PPB GE (52819) and PPB Games Limited (39411) hold the bingo and casino licenses.

In other words, the bookmaker is completely safe and legit, and the number of licenses only proves this further.

📊 Paddy Power's Trustpilot Rating: 3.8/5

With big betting brands, the review scores are often more extreme, due to the sheer number of people who use them. So, we were not too surprised to see Paddy Power's rating.

Whilst Trustpilot have given the site a 3.8 rating, we feel that this may be slightly inflated, due to the fact that there are more 1-star ratings than 5-star. Indeed, 47% of reviews on the site have been only the worst possible, whilst only 42% have given it the best.

💰 Has Paddy Power Been Fined by the UKGC?

The PPB GE and PPB Games licenses both show no regulatory actions taken against Paddy Power. However, there have been fines given to Paddy Power in recent years.

In December 2025, a regulatory fine was given to PPB Entertainment and PPB Counterparty, and Paddy Power had to pay a fine worth around £2 million, due to 'social responsibility failures relating to customer interaction'. Unfortunately, this is only one of the fines received in the past 10 years.

Paddy Power Promotions

Paddy Power's promotions are among the best in the country, and there are so many to pick from.

Regularly, and especially around the time of big events, the bookmaker will offer free bets that can range from £1 to much more, and these are incentives in themselves to bet with Paddy.

Furthermore, there are profit boosts and money-back tokens available most weekends, meaning that you can make some nice risk-free bets or even have your winnings boosted.

Paddy Power Home

Additionally, the 'Beat the Drop' and 'Wonder Wheel' are two of the best promotions on offer for UK customers.

That is not all, though, 'Paddy's Rewards Club' also offers another chance to get some value from the bookmaker. In other words, if promotions are a big draw for you, then you needn't look elsewhere.

Paddy Power Deposit Methods

Paddy Power's payment options are superb, with it difficult to find a method that is not available. From debit cards to e-wallets, there is pretty much anything on offer.

Furthermore, as you can deposit as little as £5, there can be no complaints about Paddy Power here, and we have collected everything you need to know about deposits below:

Paddy Power Withdrawal Methods

How to Verify an Account at Paddy Power

Verification is a must for bookmakers, and failing to ensure that customers are who they say they are is a big no-go for the UKGC. So, bookmakers use the Know Your Customer protocol when you sign up.

In case you need to submit any further documentation to verify your account, any of the following are accepted:

  • Proof of ID: National Driving License, National ID or Passport (picture page).
  • Proof of Address: Utility bill or bank statement not older than 3 months, showing the 4 corners/edges.

If you do fail the KYC checks, it is not a problem, and these documents are often quickly checked by Paddy Power, so you can get going quickly.

Paddy Power Sportsbook Review

Paddy Power's sportsbook is indeed enviable, just because of the depth of it, and that is just the start of it.

There are more than 30 different sports offered to customers, with each housing a range of different leagues. Of course, with more popular sports, the depth is better, but there is a solid amount across the board.

Furthermore, the attention to novelty markets is impressive, with a really solid amount of entertainment, political and TV specials available throughout the calendar year.

Looking more in-depth at the different sports, horse racing is one of the biggest focuses for Paddy Power, and this is where a lot of its sponsorship is focused. Indeed, ahead of big festivals like Cheltenham and the Grand National, the brand racks up its viewability.

Paddy Power Home

This is rewarded too, with a handful of promotions offered for these fixtures, such as free bets and boosts. Outside of festivals, betting is still highly valuable thanks to a great range of fixtures from the UK, Ireland and abroad. Furthermore, live streaming is offered in a wide range of places.

When it comes to football, things are not much different at all. Perhaps you could even say they are better. Like any elite football betting site, Paddy Power focuses on the elite leagues, but the lesser-known options are also available.

With betting margins of around 7.5%, value is okay too, and with the amount of markets available, you can certainly find betting opportunities, which can also be used for bet builders. Indeed, this is one of the best sportsbooks in the UK; we cannot pick faults here!

Paddy Power Casino Review

Despite Paddy Power's notable preference for the sportsbook, there are no faults that can be found with the casino. Indeed, it could certainly hold up as a casino-preferring site.

The range in the standard casino area is impeccable. Whether you are looking for slots or online table games, you can find plenty of either. From 'Fishin' Frenzy' to 'Le Bandit', you can find plenty.

Paddy Power Casino

When looking at the 'Live Casino', too, this notion continues. There is more than enough offered, and this is the case for game show types or different traditional games like Blackjack or Baccarat.

Put it this way: whatever you are looking for, online or live, you will be able to find it. Paddy Power excels here, certainly.

Paddy Power App

Putting it simply, Paddy Power offers one of the best betting apps in the UK. This deserves praise as ultimately, anyone can have an app, but offering one that actually makes a positive difference is a different thing.

Customers prioritise a few things when using an app: usability and speed. If you can get from A to B quickly, without having difficulties getting there, it will hold up quite well.

Indeed, to get from the home screen to the different markets, you only need to use a few taps, regardless of what you are looking to bet on, whether it is horse racing or football.

Paddy Power Responsible Gambling

Ensuring that customers gamble responsibly is a must for bookmakers now, thanks to pressure from the UKGC. So, Paddy Power offer a number of different tools:

  • Deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Reality check
  • Time-out
  • Self-exclusion
  • And more

Deposit/Loss limits are now pretty standard and enforced from when you create an account, and this is the same for reality checks, which are unavoidable.

Time-outs and self-exclusions, on the other hand, are not so standardised, given that they are more extreme measures. However, there is no shame in admitting that you need to restrict your gambling.

Paddy Power Customer Support

When it comes to customer support, Paddy Power is, once again, among the best in the business. Indeed, there are several reasons for this, all of which are quickly identifiable.

First of all, the bookmaker has a separate website dedicated to support, as well as a dedicated section in the app. So, you can scroll through the extensive FAQ page with ease.

If you want to talk to an advisor, the live chat will help with any issues, and responses are certainly quite quick. Below, we have collected everything you need to know about the customer support:
