Betano is still in the process of growing its UK user base, after beginning to take on the market in May of 2024. Formerly, the brand had seen a lot of success in Europe, South America and Africa, showing signs that it could take on another big market.
So far, there has been a lot of mixed traffic towards the app, as the reviews show, with only a thousand reviews on the iOS store. However, the Android app has received in excess of 50 thousand reviews, which is certainly a shock.
With that being said, the outlook on the app is quite positive, with a combined rating of 4.65 across both - Betano is rated 4.8 stars from 5 on the iOS Store, whilst it boasts an arguably more impressive score of 4.5/5 on the Play Store (though from 50 times more reviews).

If you would like to find out how to register on the Betano App, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
After downloading the app, tap the 'Sign Up' option in the top right to begin the registration process.
In the first step, you will be asked to provide your name (as it is shown on your ID) and your date of birth to begin the initial verification process. Additionally, the site will ask for your mobile number here.
Following this, the site will need you to input your address, though this is made easier with the postcode finder at the top of the screen, meaning you do not have to manually insert the details.
Finally, you will need to provide an email and password to complete the sign-up process, and this is so you can log into your account, which certainly helps! Once done, you are free to begin betting.
There are very few methods available on the Betano app, which is a little bit disappointing. Both common debit card options (Visa and Mastercard) can be used, as can Apple and Google Pay, which is nice. However, the lack of an e-wallet such as PayPal makes the payment area feel a little lacklustre.
Below, we have collected everything you need to know about deposits and withdrawals on the Betano app:

If you are new to the Betano app and would like some assistance with depositing funds, you can follow our step-by-step guide below:
After finishing the registration process, you are prompted to make a deposit on Betano. However, to deposit after this, you can use either the quick deposit option on the home screen, or enter the cashier through the 'Profile' area which can be found in the top right corner.
Once you have entered the cashier, you will be asked to choose your deposit amount and payment method. In our test, we deposited via a Visa debit card, as this tends to be the best for withdrawals as well.
The penultimate step is to enter your payment method details. In our case, we had to fill in the card number, expiry date, and security number.
Once the payment method information has been filled in, confirm you are the card owner by checking the box and then tap on 'Deposit'. This will complete the process which, we have to say, is very smooth.
If you are unsure about how to withdraw funds on the Betano app, you can follow our step-by-step below for some assistance:
Open up the app or the website and tap the 'Profile' icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will pull up the profile section of Betano, and then you need to tap on 'Withdraw' in the menu.
Once the cashier has been reached, simply enter your withdrawal amount and then tap the green withdrawal option. Given that we deposited £10 and withdrew it immediately - for the purpose of the test - we could only withdraw to the same method as per gambling regulations in the UK.
In our test, it took three hours for the funds to reach our bank account, making the withdrawal process very quick from start to finish. This is significantly faster than our test of BetVictor, which is a bit surprising (although there can be day-to-day differences).
It is best to start this section with our initial impressions of the app, and put simply, everything was very positive. There is a range of different options shown, but it is not overcrowded, which we have often seen with new bookmakers.
Of course, this is to do with the BV Gaming partnership, and the app does look very similar to BetVictor's, which we do rate quite heavily. Nevertheless, we must look at this app as its own entity.
There are a number of sports and boosted markets shown on the landing page, which is always a bonus, and this means you can quickly find some of the day's big fixtures, across a range of different sports - in our experience, it was football, horse racing and darts.
It is also worth noting that there are quite a lot of sports available on the home screen via the scrollable menu, which can be seen in the image above. This is another good thing as it makes things slightly more accessible.
Should you need to search to find a market, simply tap the 'Menu' option in the bottom corner, and then use the 'Search' feature at the top of this menu, or alternatively use the 'A-Z Sports' finder tool.
There are a lot of similarities when in the individual areas of the app, compared to when you are on the homescreen. For example, when loading into the football area of the app, we were immediately shown some price boosts, as well as some of the day's big fixtures, which is a nice touch.
Accessing other fixtures is very easy too, and the 'Competitions' tab makes browsing available markets very easy, which is another thing to praise with the app.
In terms of the markets themselves, Betano's odds are quite generous and using the bet builder is generally quite a nice experience too, which is always appreciated. In fact, we would say it is up there with some of the best options on the market for bet builder creation.
It is also worth shining a light on the app's horse racing area. Navigation is very nice, and customers can quickly get to UK, Irish and International fixtures, which means you can browse the available fixtures with ease.
Furthermore, streaming is available on a wide range of racing fixtures, via Racing TV, which is a huge plus. There are also timeform insights provided for most UK & Irish races, giving you tips on who may have a good chance.
There is a need to have a casino side to your app nowadays, and Betano fulfils this need very well in our opinion, with the site offering a digital and live casino area. Having this is one thing, but they must be up to scratch.
We found that this was very much the case on the Betano app indeed, as the options were fantastic, with a number of the best providers on offer, meaning that all of the most popular games are available.
The 'Live Casino' area also has a very nice range, and there are multiple different staking options, meaning high and low-wager players are catered to, which is quintessential in a betting app in the current era.
Furthermore, something we noticed was the themed sections, which showed us some time-themed games for ongoing events, meaning you can get in on an Easter, Christmas or racing vibe through the casino, for example.
Getting help in-app is quite simple to do, and it is quick to access, which is always necessary. Simply tap the 'Menu' option in the bottom left corner of the screen, then scroll to the 'Help & Contact' option.
There are a few options in-app, such as the email link and a place to begin a live chat. However, the other options take you out of the app, but more on that later.
It is quite standard to have an email option, and this is a good option if you are looking for a less responsive option, though you are still not left waiting too long for a reply in our experience. Then, if you need instant help, the Live Chat is the place to look.
Alternatively, the app provides links to message Betano on social media, or alternatively, a link to the FAQ area, though these options are outside of the app. Having an FAQ in-app would be nice, indeed, but it is not enough for us to grow hugely disappointed with the area.
Whilst it might not be the best app on the market, the Betano app certainly has the qualities to be an option for punters who are looking for something different.
A vast sportsbook is available and easily browsable, and in this sense, the app is very much like some of the biggest and best betting apps available to UK customers. However, there could be more promotions to entice you to use the bookmaker over those aforementioned other choices.
Saying it 'does a job' feels slightly unfair, as it does feel like quite a good betting app, and that is largely due to the white-label partnership with BV Gaming Limited. However, suggesting that it could replace some of the best options available would be a step too far in my view, as harsh as that may be.
